The cottage is nestled one mile from the town of Patagonia at the base of Red Mountain. It is surrounded by a stucco wall and has a wonderful front porch and private yard which includes an Arizona Room Accommodating up to five guest, there are two bedrooms, one queen bed, the other bedroom has a queen and twin bed. One bath with a claw foot bathtub and separate shower. Laundry facility onsite.
We had a comfortable, peaceful stay at the Red Mountain Cottage. The yard is so quiet and well maintained. The hummingbird activity was a joy to observe. We have stayed in numerous properties in Patagonia and this is the best so far.
We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Close to town, but just far enough out to be really peaceful and quiet. The night sky was impressive. Has a great kitchen, clean, spacious, fenced yard, and a nice "Arizona feel". Cynie and Joel were great hosts, very knowledgable about the area. I love Patagonia and the surrounding area, this is the perfect place to stay while visiting. Can't wait to return.
Cynie was really helpful and attentive and gave us great suggestions for places to go.
Our family had a great time at the Red Mountain Cottage. We traveled from Tucson for a weekend of hiking, running and exploring around Patagonia and Sonoita. The Cottage is conveniently located close to trails, local shops and restaurants. The Cottage and surrounding yard is peaceful, comfortable and private. Our dog, Duncan, was safe in the beautiful grassy yard. We enjoyed the cooler temperatures at night and loved sitting on the porch, watching birds and other wildlife. The kitchen is well equipped and made it easy to prepare meals. The bedrooms are a good size and the house was very clean. It's obvious that the Owner's have great attention to detail and take pride in their property. We look forward to returning to the Red Mountain Cottage.
Aside from the cottage being comfortable and every detail beautifully addressed, Cynie and Joel made my stay spectacular. I spent 4 days at the Tree of Life in Patagonia and am so glad that I stayed at the cottage rather than on campus. It was a get-away from the get-away. I hope to come back. Thank you Cynie and Joel!
P.s. I especially love Katie (their dog). She LOVES to play ball!
This turned out to be just my favorite kind of place, very cozy and warm, easy to be comfortable and a bit off the beaten path. Patagonia was a charming town, small but within it's area it had enough restaurants, bakeries, groceries, etc. and so many things to do. We simply did not have enough time to do everything on our list, so we'll have to come back. Cynie was a wonderful host, full of information and helpful in any way you needed but at the same time she was very respectful of privacy and not intrusive at all. Although the cottage is small, it felt plenty large for two of us and the decorating was very tasteful and interesting. We were able to walk to town which was about a mile, so that was an added bonus for us. We truly enjoined ourselves in this rental and hope to come back.
Quiet and secluded, the cottage is nestled at the base of Red Mountain and offers expansive views of tree studded mesas and magnificent mountain ranges. Wildlife and birds abound, including Roadrunners, Hawks, Gambel's Quail and many species of hummingbirds. You can visit the nearby world known Tucson Audubon's Patton Center for Hummingbirds.
At night, the clear dessert sky offers one of Arizona's best shows of stars, planets and constellations.
Explore nearby historic ghost towns, missions and the scenic San Rafael Valley.
Patagonia Lake is just minutes away.
