About the property

3 BR, 2.5 bath home on 5 acres in mountain foothills, gorgeous scenery

Nestled within the Tucson Mountain foothills, this home enjoys a very private setting on five acres with fantastic views of Tucson and several mountain ranges across the valley. A paradise for nature lovers, it is minutes away from Saguaro National Park and the many opportunities it has to offer. Hikers, birdwatchers, and photographers will be delighted. The property is visited regularly by gambel's quail, mule deer, javelina, gila woodpeckers, and other native wild animals.

At the same time, you can be in downtown Tucson within 15 minutes. The rich culture of the southwest is yours to enjoy.

The home features THREE BEDROOMS, two with their own en suite bath, and a HALF BATH near the great room. Enjoy Southwestern viga beam architecture, massive outdoor entertaining space, huge kitchen and utility room, large bedrooms with views of the Tucson Mountain Foothills in all directions, double car garage, pool (not heated) and spa. Stay a week, a month or for the entire high season. The home is great for small family gatherings.

Tucson is a mecca for outdoor sports. Bicycling, rock climbing, and hiking are all very popular. Or you can choose to stay at the house, enjoying the breathtaking scenery and tranquility... the pool and spa... and gaze at the multitude of stars at night.

About Chris Brodrick

We love the desert southwest of America and Tucson. The wildlife, the desert landscapes, and the rich cultural history of the area are what drew us here.

Chris Brodrick purchased this house in 2009

Why Chris Brodrick chose Arizona

We purchased the home years ago. It needed a little attention at the time, so we gave the home the TLC it deserved. After building the pool and outdoor terraced landscaping, we wanted to share the beauty of the place.

Spectacular home and view!

  • 5 of 5

We gather a band of brothers for a Tucson-based reunion at the holidays, and this house was the perfect home for all of us. Great kitchen and big dining room table, gorgeous outside space, comfortable living room. The master suite is amazing. And the view didn't disappoint. WOW!

Terrific desert home for 2-7 people.

  • 5 of 5

This was a fantastic house with a wonderful view. I would return there. The owner was very responsive when we had a power problem with the house. We enjoyed the Museum of the Desert and in addition to great Mexican food, we liked the restaurant Wildflower.

Nice house, quiet location, great views!

  • 5 of 5

Comfortable contemporary home with large windows, high ceilings, and pleasantly modest decor. The skies, mountains, birds, sun, stars, and saguaro make for new and beautiful views all day ever day! Unlike many other properties, this house is well-stocked with toiletries, tissues, napkins, spices, multiple coffee makers and filters, and, a very rare find - knives that are sharp enough to use!

Master bedroom has an awesome bathroom, great walk-in closet, and big windows. Other 2 bedrooms are just nice ordinary rooms.

Be prepared for adventurous dirt and gravel roads into these private, quiet hills. Coyotes occasionally seen and heard which was cool.

The only thing I wished for was heating for the pool. It is a gorgeous pool, but too cold for me to swim in. Floating gauge said 70F. We took dips in the luke warm hot tub instead. We didn't attempt to raise the temp in the hot tub, but it looks like that is an option.

There are so many more things I want to do here in Tucson. I would love to come again!

Amazing views, great pool and Jacuzzi

  • 5 of 5

I spent 15 days at this property and I must said it felt too short. I enjoyed every day. My wife and kid had an amazing time as well. The house is very well equipped, the kitchen has almost everything you could need with exception of blender. Neighbors are nice and driving to downtown takes about 15 minutes.

I like everything about this property. I will recommend this place to all my friends traveling to Tucson.

The location and the views are great!

  • 3 of 5

The House was nice and clean however there were a few issues.

We were not tempted to lift the lid of the “spa” more than once (not worth the extra 200 Dollars) and the 3rd bedroom (no picture on the website) was very disappointing. We had to replace a few light bulbs, re-connect the TV to the dish and adjust the timer for the outside lights. The pool-lights don’t work anymore (Chris we followed your instructions but the lights simply don’t work anymore). The master shower splashes in all directions. The garden, once nicely laid out with lovely plants, is covered in weeds. We spoke to Chris on the phone who was nice and helped us to resolve some of the issues.

The kitchen was easy to use and well stocked.

Spring time is a great time to visit Tucson - the desert was in bloom which was stunningly beautiful and it was an enjoyable 85 Degrees during the day. We saw many different birds and even a coyote from the property.

Tucson is a nice town and there are lot’s of things to do. “Old Tucson” is a fun place to visit and so is the Desert Museum. Both close to this property. We also visited the Tucson Museum of Art which we highly recommend not just for the exhibition but also for the architecture and the cafe (nice lunch & quaint outdoor seating). After visiting several galleries and Indian Jewelry shops in town we felt that Mac’s Indian Jewelry was the place we liked most out of all of them.
