About Troy Snow
My husband and I live on the Property that we rent out year round. We take pride in our properties and are responsive to any of our renters needs. Since we are on property, we deal with our guests directly – from key exchanges, to cleaning, to repairs, and anything in between. All of our properties are fully furnished and have all the amenities of home!
Why Troy Snow chose Bryson City
We purchased this property because of the history. These cabins were used to house the men that were to build the road from Tennessee to North Carolina in 1943. In 1945 the city of Fontana was flooded. The flooding of this road & subsequent loss of access would become a major controversy that has still not been settled over 50 years later .In the late 1980's & early 1900's many of the cabins were sold & removed from Fontana to make room for new units; dozens of the little cabins are scattered around Western North Carolina today. I'm happy to say we have a little piece of American History. These cabins are A-6 & were built by Schultz Trailers, Inc. of Eckhard, Indiana. The road today is Fontana Road aka "The Road to No Where".
What makes this Cabin unique
We chose this property because of the quiet, quaint area & the history of it.

It was a nice place, just a little further out than we would have liked.
we are 2 miles from downtown Bryson City, so we are not that far out at all especially from downtown and from the Smoky Mountain Railroad
Great mountain get-away
Great central location for enjoying Fontana Lake and dam, hiking in Smokies and Deep Creek. We were about 10 days early for seeing full fall color. Troy was super helpful and responsive. Thanks for a great break!
We had a great stay. The cabin was clean and everything was as advertised.
Loved the area
We had a great experience with the owner and enjoyed the property.
What a beautiful property and the property owner was wonderful. So nice and helpful.
Wonderful and we will definitely be back
Didn’t want to leave.
My husband and I enjoyed staying here. Very quiet and relaxing. Hope to go back soon.
Nantahala has awesome white water rafting as well as The Tuckasegee River. A must see is the Oconaluftee Indian Village, if you get there at the right time you will see Elk! Mingo Falls in Cherokee. Unto These Hills - is an outdoor drama about the Cherokee Indians, very interesting!
