3,500 Sq Foot Main Lodge With Multiple Cabins/5 Bathrooms/ Up To 40 Guests

Our facility sits on almost 100 acres of private property with four cabins (two rooms in each cabin) that each can sleep up to 8 guests (4 guests per room). We also have eight individual rooms available located in a separate building. The majority of the rooms are bunk bed setups. We do have several rooms with queen beds for couples. We have a 3,500 sq foot main lodge with two levels and full kitchen along with high speed internet, satellite TV, and all modern amenities. The lodge has full surround sound and guests can stay up as late as they want and be as loud as they wish. The property has 5 private bathrooms along with a laundry room. We also have RV hookups (electric only) for up to 10 units.

This facility is utilized as the most premier hunting lodge in Western New Mexico for the fall months. The lodge and cabins are adorned with many photos and trophies taken by past guests of the facility. Some of the most famous professional hunters in the world have stayed at the lodge and many outdoor television shows have been filmed there over the past few years. We do have an 800 yard long distance rifle range and 120 yard archery range for guests to enjoy. The shooting pad is covered and there is a road for access to the longer range targets

We have a large fire pit area that guests can enjoy at night along with horseshoe pits, corn hole boards, and various other games. Guests can also enjoy star gazing at night if they come during the darker periods of the moon phase. Small game hunting is available throughout the year. We do offer guided small game hunting for additional fees.

Along with our 100 acres of private property we also have access to 700 acres of other land. Guests have full use of the property including hiking, biking, jogging, horseback riding, or off road vehicle use (please use our existing trails). We do have corrals and water to keep horses. We have many miles of roads and trails surrounding our lodge for your enjoyment.

Guests can provide their own food and meals if they wish. We provide the full kitchen, refrigerators, freezers, cookware, and disposable utensils/plates, ect. We do offer the services of our Chef for additional fees. If you decide to have us cater your group you will get all of your beverages (excluding alcohol), breakfast, lunch, and dinner included. Our Chef prepares meals buffet style unless you have a group of less than 10 people. The meals and meal serving times are set by the Chef however he is generally flexible and can accommodate most requests within reason.

We do not provide alcohol however you are allowed to bring your own alcohol to our facility and we do have plenty of cooler space for beverages that need to be chilled. We do have dry bar area that you can put any bottles that need to be stored also.

About Tom McReynolds

We are a couple in our mid thirties who loves the hunting, extreme sports, and most of all the outdoors. We have taken a passion and turned it into a business which has enabled us to enjoy the outdoors even more. We split our time between the lodge in New Mexico, Henderson, Nevada, and Scottsdale, Arizona. We have family in both Nevada and Arizona so when we are not at the lodge we split our time between those two places.

Tom McReynolds purchased this lodge in 2011

Why Tom McReynolds chose New Mexico

The property and lodge was originally built to cater to the clients that we were taking hunting each and every fall. The guiding service we provide became so popular that we decided to find the right piece of land and then create the perfect facility in which hunters would like to stay. Year after year the lodge becomes more popular with professional hunters from around the world. Often times these hunters bring guests who do not hunt. The feedback from those non-hunting guests inspired us to offer this facility during the off season to other groups of people to enjoy. The diversity of activities that can be done both on our property and in the areas surrounding it is endless.

What makes this lodge unique

There are very few facilities in the Southwest that offer such a massive facility with this much solitude and remoteness while still having the comforts of home.

Big Family Reunion done RIGHT

  • 5 of 5

We had 70+ people over the 4th of July weekend. Had the place all to ourselves. Kids had a great time with the 4 wheelers, dirt bike, and side by sides we brought. Lodge was just what we wanted: Huge, Clean, all the necessities you need to cook for a large group. Enough room for all 70+ of us to eat together. The Lodge also accommodated us with space big enough to get out of the few rain showers. Cabins where clean with nice sheets and linens. Bathrooms clean and located in a great spot. We would definitely rent it again and recommend it to anyone looking for great place to have a large group function. 5 hour drive from Phoenix, 2 hour drive from Albuquerque.

Elk Hunter

  • 4 of 5

I have stayed at Black Mountain Outfitters lodge at Pie Town, NM, for the last 3 years while hunting elk with them. I have always stayed in one of the smaller cabins which will sleep 2-4 hunters. These cabins are very nice for hunters. There are two separate bath houses. The main lodge is very comfortable with several TV's and internet service. The food is excellent and the staff tries to do anything to make your stay a success. They have very good elk hunting in this area and I have taken 3 elk the last 3 years. I will be coming back the last of September this year for another elk hunt. This property is a very good fit for me and I would most definitely recommend it.

Fantastic Accomadations

  • 5 of 5

We loved the lodge and adjoining cabins were awesome! Everything was very clean and comfortable and the owner was accommodating with all requests. Pie town is the closest city and a cool place to visit. There is also a general store a mile or so from the property that has all the essentials. We're coming back next summer and would highly recommend the lodge to others...fantastic place!

Our facility is located in one of the most remote and beautiful places in the country. The area is famous to star gazers for its extremely dark night time skies which give excellent views through telescopes. Many observatories have been built in the area recently to capitalize on the breathtaking night time views.

The area has one of the highest densities of elk populations in the country. Many times elk will be seen in the valley below the lodge and if you take an evening drive anywhere around our facility in the mornings or evenings you will see hundreds of elk along with Antelope and Mule Deer. The area does have Bears, Mountain Lions, Bobcats, and Coyotes which are also sometimes seen near the lodge.

Located within one mile of the lodge is the continental divide trail. The trail runs clear across the U.S. and is a popular destination for many travelers from across the globe. The continental divide itself sits a few hundred yards from our lodge.

Pie Town is world famous for its Pies. There are multiple restaurants in the town that you can sit down and take a taste of their latest creations. Every year they put on a pie festival that draws thousands of visitors from all around the country.

By far the best thing about the area is the natural beauty and unique monuments and attractions that are located in our area. We have El Morro and El Malapis national monuments. We have the Very Large Array (VLA) that sits on the plains to the east of our locations. We are surrounded by the Gila and Cibola national forests in all directions. There are various other ancient indian ruins, dwellings, and hieroglyphics all within a short driving distance of our location
