About Cyndie Cornelius

I have been selling Smoky Mountain Real Estate since 2007 and managing Smoky Mountain Rental Properties since 2014. As the Owner and Principal Broker of a Townsend based Real Estate Firm, I have been in and out of hundreds of rental cabins. Feeling strongly that people want to be treated to a clean and well stocked cabin in a private surrounding, my husband and I decided to see if our theory was correct. We purchased our first cabin in 2014 and put it in service. The demand was overwhelming, and we soon purchased our second and third. The owners of Laurel Mist purchased this cabin from us and we agreed to manage the rental of this cabin as well, since it has the same private setting and warm interior decor that our guests enjoy. We felt Laurel Mist was a perfect match for our clients.

Beautiful, clean, outstanding service, easy hiking access!

  • 5 of 5

This is our second stay at Laurel Mist and our third stay in one of Cyndie's cabins. We love the easy access to the hiking areas of the park and the quiet atmosphere of Townsend. The cabin is always very clean, with comfortable furniture and bed. The kitchen has everything you need to cook in. We love the screened in back porch, complete with table, chairs, and rocking chairs!

Cyndie has always been easy to work with, but she and Warren were especially helpful during this stay. On our first night there, we couldn't get the TV to work. After 20 minutes of trying, I texted Cyndie; she gave us several suggestions and when that didn't work she and Warren came in person. It took him another 20 minutes but he finally figured it out! During that time we had a great conversation and we were glad to have had a chance to meet them in person.

We can't think of any reason to stay anywhere else in the Smokies!

Owner's Response: Thank you so much! It was indeed a pleasure to meet the both of you. We appreciate your return business and hope that you will continue to make us your go to home in the Smokies! Laurel Mist is about to get a fresh face! The cabin is scheduled for an exterior cleaning and staining in December. Even more to love about Laurel Mist! Thank you again for your business! Cyndie and Warren.

Just perfect and would absolutely recommend to anyone!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was very welcoming and beautifully furnished. It was a perfect location for us to be closer to the Cades Cove side of the park as we’d hoped, but not too far from Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg either. It’s nestled in the woods and feels very private, but actually right up from Townsend and a lovely golf course. Was thrilled to be able to bring my dog, and sat out on the 3 season porch a lot. Cyndie was very responsive if needed and things could not have gone smoother. We look forward to hopefully staying again in the future!

Wonderful cabin for a quiet visit and close to Cade's Cove!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Laurel Mist for a visit to Cade's Cove and other parts of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The cabin was perfect and though in a gated community, we felt like we were far from neighbors. Everything was clean and comfortable! Would definitely stay here again for another trip to see the park and all it's creatures. Loved staying in Townsend! Thank you for making our visit wonderful!

Wonderful Place to Stay!

  • 5 of 5

Cyndie's place is so beautiful and peaceful! Her cabin is surrounded by trees so you don't see other cabins near by which gives you the feeling of seclusion. Everything in the Cabin was clean, well appointed and cozy. We loved the screened in porch and the fire place even though it was too warm to use. Hopefully on our next visit it will be cold enough to take advantage of. The cabin is near stores, restaurants and some local attractions and is just minutes away from Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Cades Cove. However if you like to be away from the hustle and bustle of the main thoroughfare, Cyndie's cabin is the place you want to be! It was hard to leave. We definitely want to visit again!!

Secluded getaway

  • 5 of 5

Nice cabin tucked in the valley in the forest. Loved the lightning bugs in the late afternoon and peacefulness of the cabin. This cabin has everything you need at an affordable price. The furniture and bed were comfortable and were great places to relax after a day in the park. Loved being on the quiet side of the Smokies close to town and Cades Cove. Found a place to hang my hammock in the side yard and enjoyed the canopy of the trees.
