Remodel is now complete on the inside. We think it turned out really well. We replaced all of the doors, cabinets, flooring, bathroom fixtures, painted etc. Our first guest arrived July 1, 2015.
Next we will be working on the outside/yard area.
There are two bedrooms, one is larger than the other. One has a king bed and one has a queen size bed. We provide all linens and towels.
We call this a "make your own bed and breakfast" place. We do have complimentary pancake mix and syrup to get your day started right.
There is a large space for RV parking besides having a parking area in front as well as on the street.
We are in the process of putting in an outdoor eating area with a shade canopy. We also have a barbecue to grill up a wonderful steak or some chicken.
There is a washer and dryer there for your use along with internet service.
We have a DVD player if you want to watch a movie you bring or check one out at a nearby Red Box location. We also have ROKU so be sure to bring your Netflix password. NOTE: There are no antenna channels available.
The area is nice, lots of trees and hollyhocks. Our property address is 21 E. 70 N. La Verkin, UT 84745 if you want to look at the street view. The pictures you see will not be what you see when you come since they were taken long ago and we have painted etc. The home that is to the West of us is not that pretty, but I don't think you are coming to Southern Utah to compare houses, you are coming to have a wonderful time for yourself going biking or hiking or just getting away. We are very proud of our reviews and don't want anyone to say ' Hey I had a great time and it was just as described, but there was an ugly house next door.
We would love to have you book with us and become another one of our satisfied customers.
Hi! I am Carolyn Murset. My husband and I moved to southern Utah 30 + years ago. because of the magnificent scenery and the equally magnificent people. We had two children when we moved here and now have five. We have 13 grand children who all love this part of the world. It is no wonder so many people visit here, and then end up staying. My husband loves to take pictures and has hung a few at our properties for you to enjoy. He is partial to black and white photography. Our youngest daughter also seems to have caught the bug and you will also see some of her photos as well. I love to sing, act, play the guitar and have hundreds of other interests. It was my idea to start down this road with a vacation rental and we believe it has been a great thing for us and for our fellow travelers. We like to travel, but don't seem to do it as often as we would like to. In fact, we just got our passports!
Monica Murset purchased this house in 2007

If you are coming to Southern Utah to take in the scenery, having a home base is invaluable. You can make a pack lunch and come home to crockpot meal or barbque and save a bundle. This is on a very quiet street away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. (We consider St. George to be the big City), but still close enough to a Walmart and Costco if you like.
My son, daughter-in-law, husband, and I stayed two nights at this fantastic rental while visiting Zion National Park. The owners have gone to great lengths to anticipate guests' every need and wish. During our stay, it was hot outside but cool and pleasant inside. Hot water for showers and dishes was in abundant supply (but you needn't do dishes; the dishwasher will take care of that task if you want). When we decided we were too tired to go out for a restaurant meal, we picked up frozen pizza at Davis Market (only a few blocks away) and baked it on the stone provided in the rental. Beds were comfy, and the television set up worked well for us. I did wonder if we had it turned up too loud and hope that we didn't bother any of the neighbors with the movie we watched the night we arrived.
We were even able to do a couple of laundry loads, a great feature for those who have been traveling. We prefer not to use a dryer, so we were glad to find plenty of closet space and hangers in the two bedrooms to air dry our clothes after washing them. (If you use a dryer, you'll be pleased to know that one is provided.)
Initially, we didn't see the flyswatter but soon found it along with two lighters for the grill which is located in the back yard. A nice patio set is in place there as well.
All communication between us and the owner went smoothly. I would return in an instant if I could. We felt pampered and blessed.
This little duplex had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay in La Verkin. It's close to Zion - easy to get to - and very well-equipped when you are travelling light otherwise. It's clean and quiet.... well there was a distant rooster crowing in the early morning but he didn't bother us too much! The owner was very helpful - Instructions were clear, it was easy to find. The waffle maker was a nice touch for celebrating my daughter's birthday morning!
A short 30 minute drive to Zion NP. Amenities were great. Was nice having a washer/dryer and dishwasher. Everything very clean.
The property has no curb appeal but you will be pleasantly surprised when you walk inside very clean the floors are nice the bedrooms are nice the sofas comfy the kitchen has everything you could possibly need even extra supplies it's a great value for the money I would highly recommend it to anyone and will plan on staying there again
The place is cozy and comfortable. Nicely decorated. We had a nice stay while visiting Zion for the first time. Reasonably close to the national park, and it's in a quiet neighborhood. Nice to see it has a washer/dryer. I would have given a 5 star rating if there had not been a very slow draining bathtub. Overall, happy with the place.
Property is conveniently located for Zion, well-equipped and has comfortable beds. It was nice to be able to sit outside at the end of the day too. Would stay there again.
