|Minimum Stay||3 - 5 nights|
Wabedo cabin has lots of charm and is a wonderful place for a family summer vacation. We like to think of it as a hint of heaven with all seasons being special.
During the months of June, July and August & September we have a five night minimum.
The Little Boy/Wabedo chain is known for excellent fishing and a nice quiet ambiance. Over 2,600 acres of water to explore. Islands and Bays give the lake a lot of structure. The muskies frequent the basin just to the east of us. Try your hand at walleyes and northerns. Pretty big here. Kids have a good opportunity to catch fish right off of the dock. The water is about thigh deep off the end of the dock and has a gradual elevation, perfect for small children through teenagers. The beach area is hard sand. There is a nice public boat landing 3 miles away.
The town of Longville is 10 miles to the north. Enjoy the turtle races on Wednesdays, ice cream, or dining with lake views. Longville is centrally located 50 miles from Brainerd, Grand Rapids and Park Rapids if you are interested in day trips.
Little Boy resort offers a full line of boat rentals and Wheeler Marine offers pontoon rentals and will bring them right to the landing.
The cabin has two bedrooms, the one facing the lake has a queen bed, the second bedroom also has a double bed. A sofa sleeper and futon are also in the living room.
In the living room there is a woodstove for cooler nights and a large picture window beautiful views of quiet lake Wabedo. The new bathroom has a shower, linens and towels are provided. A full kitchen with just about everything you need will make your stay enjoyable. All firewood is provided for the woodstove and the firepit outside.
A porch with a gas grill is on the east side of the cabin. By the dock house there is a electrical plug in and fish cleaning accommodations with fresh water. Brand new steps have been built for easy access to the lake.
We love pets, but our cabin is a pet free cabin. Out of respect for our neighbors, we decided to not allow pets.
It is a perfect spot for canoes and kayaks.
This is a great place for a family vacation.
We are MN natives. We love the outdoors, hence our desire to be on a great fishing lake.
We live in Alexandria, about 3 hours away. We have two girls ages 11 and 14 that love the water and love "going" to the cabin. Due to the fact that our kids are so busy, we are renting the cabin on weeks we can't be there.
Randy & Sara Reemts purchased this cabin in 2015
We fell in love with this cabin the moment we saw it. Think Grandpa's cabin!
It is not a house, but a true up north MN cabin, the smell of the pines and the woodstove swirling from the chimney make us want to retire
Plus, the fishing is about the best you can get!
The wabedo cabin stay was a good experience and weather co-operated. The cabin is being up dated, bathroom area is very nice, but still has the feel of up north. Going down to the lake on the new wood stairs and looking at the lake and the sounds of the loons was peaceful & restful, and did some casting off the dock. Fall is in the air, but a nice fire in the wood stove took the chill away. Maybe a few more channels on TV to watch those Viking football games. All said a nice place , had a great time. Thanks for everything.
This cozy little cabin is the perfect getaway. The cabin has everything you need and is very clean and well maintained and the interior decorator definitely deserves an A+. The property is gorgeous and plenty of space. The owners Sara and Randy are very prompt and on top of everything from questions needing answers to making sure you have everything to make your trip a memorable experience, couldn't ask for more. The lake is a quiet smaller lake with plenty of fish to be caught and perfect to tool around for a relaxing boat ride. The cabin is conveniently located to surrounding towns that have plenty to offer if you feel the need to leave the peace and solitude. The Loons on the lake put you to sleep in the evenings and greet you in the AM. We enjoyed our stay and next time hope to stay Longer ; ) ......Thank you Randy & Sara for everything!
This is a very cozy cabin on a beautiful northern Minnesota lake. The owner is very quick with communication and made sure that everything was in place for us to have a fantastic stay. The home sits on a quiet dirt road filled with mature pines. The lake is very clear with a defined weed line that made for good pike, bass, and musky fishing. There is boat rental on the lake for reasonable prices. Overall we couldn't have asked for more out of an up north cabin getaway. We'll be back!
