We loved this place

  • 5 of 5

We had such a great time at this house last year, we are booking again this year. The house is charming and has everything that you need. The gardens are lovely and so private. The beach was the best that we have been to in Brewster.

Great getaway house!

  • 5 of 5

House was perfect for stay and met all of our needs! Perfectly furnished with updated appliances. One of the highlights was the short walk to the private beach. It was so nice to be able to leave our chairs at the beach, rather than bringing them back and forth. The bike trail is close by as well as shops and restaurants. You can tell the owner really takes pride in their property and we can't wait to re-book it for our next vacation!

Great Vacation Spot

  • 5 of 5

We loved this place. We have stayed at other places in Brewster and the beach areas were small and very crowded. This beach is large and is never crowded. The house is absolutely charming and the yard is nicely landscaped with lovely flower gardens. We could walk to several restaurants and the bike trail was close by. We can't wait to go back again this year.

We loved this place

  • 5 of 5

Friends who live in the area suggested this house and we loved it. Our friends also suggested that we rent in September as the crowds have mostly gone. We had great weather and some days we had the beach to ourselves. Also, it wasn't long waits to get into restaurants.

The house is nicely furnished and the gardens are lovely. The beach is beautiful.

Great house/great location

  • 5 of 5

Our family had a wonderful time at this house. The home was adorable and had every thing you could need. The location was great. You could walk to shops and several restaurants. You could get to the bike trail without having to ride on the main road (there were sidewalks on 6A). We loved the beach. It is never crowded as it is very big. The kids had a blast on the flats at low tide. We even got a shellfish license and dug our own clams.

Don't be fooled, this place is FILTHY

  • 1 of 5

Rented this place in August 2014. For the amount of money you pay, you expect a clean comfortable rental. We arrived and found the home was overrun with spiders and insects. Mainly due to the fact that none of the window screens fit properly. Air conditioners were broken, gas grills was inoperable, outdoor furniture poor condition, kitchen filthy with old tools, place was renovated but many many years ago, and it has not been kept up. The toaster oven was so dirty it actually caught fire! It had been MONTHS since it had been cleaned.

Yard was beautifully landscaped. The location was decent right off 6A but too far to beach with young children. We ended up driving and then one adult would walk back. The beach was lovely and private but no swimming possible during low tide.

Back to the insects. We complained and the owner did not respond. I washed every piece of bedding prior to letting my kids even touch them! We have rented for 15 years on the Cape and this was one of the worst rentals we have stayed in. So buyer beware.......

Owner's Response: In ten years of renting, I have never had an experience like this. I have repeat renters who love the place. I clean the house myself every Saturday and if I have to spend the entire 4 hours there, I do. There are some things that you can't do on a changeover, like rewash bedding. I'm sorry if a previous renter spilled something. If I had noticed it I would have taken it to the laundry mat (comforters won't fit in my washer) and brought it back to the house later, all bedding gets washed before the season. The house was renovated 10 years ago. I don't think that that is very long ago. She mentions old tools all over the kitchen. I have a drawer that I refer to as the junk drawer. I keep screwdrivers, pliers, etc in there. There is no need to go into this drawer as there are no kitchen items in it. No one has ever had an issue with it before. Here only complaint that has any merit is the teak outdoor furniture. It was serviceable, but does not look as nice as it used to do to exposure to the elements. I am replacing it this year. Cape Cod is the spider capitol of the world. If you can't deal with it, stay way. I go on spider patrol before I vacuum, but they see me coming and hide under things. If you rent my home, I am sure you will like it as much as the close to 100 others who have stayed here. Regards, Susan
