You can even walk to Canada across the International Bridge!! Wonderful architecture from turn of the century. Original woodwork, plaster walls, and tin ceilings . Beautifully sited in a neighborhood known as Hinkley Hill with many fabulous homes including a trio of Victorian waterfront gingerbreads. Convenient to all yet offering landscaped privacy. Beautiful lawn, flower and vegetable gardens in season.

The riverfront town of Calais, Maine is an extraordinary outpost in Downeast Maine. Follow route 1 along the waterfront out to Passamaquoddy Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. Day trip to Eastport, a charming town with many artisans in residence, or Lubec, home of the adult music camp, Summerkeys, Monica's chocolate and the bridge to Campobello Island, summer estate to the Roosevelts. Take an intimate cooking course and enjoy fine wines and cheeses at the Ice House in nearby Robbinston. Fish at nearby lakes where anglers come from all over for the annual bass derby. Watch eagles soar along the shoreline. Eagles have actually landed on the property. See moose in their natural surroundings at Moosehorn National Wldlife Refuge. A 50% deposit (non-refundable) is required to hold your reservation with the balance due three weeks prior to your arrival.

  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 60 days before check-in date.
