Walk to Doak Campbell in minutes!

Bedrooms 2
Property type condo
Minimum Stay 2 nights

About the property

Spanish moss drapes from hundred year old oaks surrounding a small three building condo complex located in a redeveloping area near Gaines Street and Doak Campbell Stadium. An eclectic mix of residents from business owners and artists to state employees and graduate students resides in the complex. The condos were built in the mid-1950’s and completely renovated in the past five years.

This upstairs unit features yellow pine floors throughout creating a warm and inviting space. Each of the two bedrooms have queen sized beds. The bathroom features a tile mosaic sink with custom wooden vanity and a walk-in shower. A small but modern eat-in kitchen is complete with a gas range and oversized sink. The comfortably appointed living room has a small flat-screen tv with cable.

This condo offers proximity to the stadium as well as local restaurants, breweries, and art galleries. Leave your vehicle in the parking lot and avoid sitting in game day traffic. From the condo to the stadium is less than three quarters of a mile walk. A path connects from the complex to the paved bike/walking trail at Lake Elberta Park, from there sidewalks on Lake Bradford take you directly to the stadium.

Nice place, great location

  • 5 of 5

Like others I was a little nervous of the surrounding area, but the actual condo is very nice. Very homey feel to it, and we appreciated the AC units in the rooms. Walking distance to College Town and the stadium was a huge plus. The owners are very kind and we're helpful with any questions I had.

We enjoyed our stay. My husband and I came for the FSU -Gators game and decided to NOT stay in a hotel this time. Well that was the best decision. The condo was so close to the stadium. It was quite and very relaxing. Don't be alarmed when you are entering the community, it does look rough, however everyone is super nice and the condo was very nicely decorated and had everything we needed for a 2 day stay. We will be choosing this hidden gem for our football games going forward.

Nice Condo

  • 5 of 5

This condo was very nice and clean. We were in town to see our son perform in a play at FSU and the location of the condo was perfect for that. The owner was a pleasure to work with and promptly refunded our security deposit after we returned home.

Bare necessities

  • 3 of 5

My husband, my parents, and myself stayed here for FSU graduation at the end of April. So this place was great functionally: two beds, one bath, appliances, everything you need. However, there's no central AC (not sure about heat). Both the bedrooms had a window unit and ceiling fans, but I still found the rooms to be stuffy. The main living area and kitchen were TOASTY upon arrival, and never quite got to a comfortable temperature with just the ceiling fan and floor fan. We did some cooking in the kitchen and it was borderline unbearable with the ambient temperature and cooktop going. Similar issue in the bathroom: very stuffy which made getting ready difficult. I guess this place is better suited for a fall/winter/low humidity visit rather than spring or summer. It's walkable to a bunch of shops and restaurants, stadium, and the civic center. There aren't a whole lot of street lights on the road though, and it's very close to a railroad crossing, so be advised when walking to or from. The train will stop on the tracks which are on the road, so it might block up for a bit. Beautiful location though. Some of the most gorgeous trees you'll ever see, cute lime tree, blackberry tree, sweet neighbor cats...very earthy place. Not sure if I'd stay again just because of the lack of AC, but there was nothing wrong with this place! If you just need a place to rest your head, it will certainly do!

Owner's Response: We are sorry you didn't find the condo to your comfort level. Our condo listing does identify window A/C units as does the rental agreement. When the condo is prepped for arrival we turn the AC units on during warm weather and trust the guests to adjust the units up or down as needed. We hope the rest of your stay was enjoyable.

Wonderful Weekend

  • 5 of 5

We had an amazing time staying here, everything was perfect and we were made very comfortable. The manager/owner checked in with us several times to make sure everything was great ( nice touch).

Very close to the stadium, the actual complex is a little sketchy looking when you pull in but not be scared the unit itself is lovely.

We will return and look to stay here again next time.

Don't Judge a Book by its Cover

  • 5 of 5

We were looking for a place to stay during Parent Weekend that was both walking distance to the stadium and my son's dorm. We were very happy with the accommodations as well as the distance. The outside of the apartment complex needs some TLC, but that the inside makes up for it. I really enjoyed reading on the patio and watching a pair of Woodpeckers eat from the feeder. We would definitely stay again.
