If you prefer biking, riding scooter, long boards or boating, there is a boat rental dock just two doors down the street; where you can also rent bikes or motorbikes to adventure in the surroundings.

For shoppers, the choices are endless within a short drive. You also may go to John's Pass to experience their waterfront restaurants, fabulous shopping and water excursions. You may also venture out for a day trip to Disney, Sea World and Universal Studios in Orlando (about 90 miles away). Why Steven Goldstein chose Florida Central Gulf Coast

This property is really the best of both worlds! We love having the more relaxed atmosphere on being on the Intercoastal and also having a three minute walk to the beautiful beach of Indian Shores!. The condo is almost 2000 sq feet and has plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. Plus, the view from the balcony is spectacular. My wife lived nearby for 24 years and we were looking for a place for us to stay when we come down and visit friends and family.

CLEAN, Quiet, and Close to the Beach

  • 5 of 5

Our family had a lovely time at this condo. We had 6 adults and 2 children in our party. The condo was plenty big so we were never on top of one another. I was concerned that it would be a journey to walk to the beach, but it was quite the opposite. Beach access was right across the street! Nice beach chairs are provided in the storage closet.

The updated kitchen has all the tools we needed for making meals, but plan on going to the store for garbage bags, dish soap (and Dish washer), toilet paper and soap for the shower. The washer and dryer were very helpful to have, as well.

It was so nice to have a Pak 'N Play there at the condo for the baby. So appreciated that!

The stairs heading up to the loft area and the bedroom with the bunkbeds are quite steep. But those using the loft managed just fine.

There are two parking spots available, which we needed. They are under the building.

The pool was a nice change from the beach when the weather was changing. My granddaughter had more fun at the pool in her floaty toy than at the beach. And we were the only ones there most of the time.

This condo and the property is very clean and well maintained. We really needed space to relax on this vacation and loved that this unit is so quiet and away from the street. The property owner is very attentive and answers questions right away. We had an enjoyable stay!

Absolutely amazing property...information provided by owner is exactly as it says!

  • 5 of 5

Everything was wonderful. The condo was very clean and central to everything. Beach just steps away, pool was warm and clean...I would definitely return in the future. We loved watching the dolphins swim every morning and evening. Fishing off the dock was so much fun for the family. Evening walks on the beach are a must....sunset is beautiful!!! Thanks for sharing your home with us Steven.

Happy vacationers

  • 4 of 5

We had a great time in Indian Shores and a great experience in the condo. We had 8 in our group and had plenty of room. The loft is great for the kids. We took an air mattress so they could lay around in the loft and it it fit with room to spare. The balcony provides a beatiful view of the waterway and since it is closed in, you can still enjoy the it in the hottest part of the day. Everything we needed was provided, including towels and other beach supplies, which helped a lot with our packing. Steven was great to work with and responded quickly with any questions or concerns.

Things can go wrong! Owner can be difficult

  • 1 of 5

Proceed Cautiously. The owner is very nice until there is a problem and then he says "I am not going to debate this any longer". We booked this condo for 8 nights. About ONE WEEK before our trip, the owner told us they would be doing roof work on the unit for two days. It was too late to change our plans. When we got there, they were doing dock work (never notified this might happen) for the first two days. Pounding, chain-saws, crane... not what we were paying for on vacation. The roof work was even worse with workers on ladders looking in the windows and pounding on the roof. We left the condo early and paid for a hotel. The owner refused to reimburse us even though we were dealing with 4 days of noise and had to get hotel room. The owner doesn't seem to understand that our vacation is not maintenance time. We should have been reimbursed for hotel, food, etc. Had to argue with owner to get less than a one night refund.

Pros: Large condo; Well decorated and furnished; nice spot to watch the boats go by; Very short walk to beach; Storage closet is well stocked with beach gear.

Cons: Master bedroom is on back of unit with no view and near the street so you get a large amount of road noise; The air conditioning makes bedrooms very cold but main living area is still much warmer; The "balcony" is part of the unit so you have no doors to close when you are on it; Upper bedroom is dangerous with steep stairs and no windows; no elevator in building so you must climb 3 flights of stairs. Owner is difficult to work with once things go wrong.I think this would have been a good place for us under normal circumstances, but in this case what we hoped would be a relaxing vacation has turned in to a lot of stress that we did not deserve.

Owner's Response: My "guest" booked less than two weeks before his stay looking for a deal. I accommodated him on stay dates that were totally out of the normal dates of Saturday to Saturday. I informed him of the roof repair within three days of his booking and offered to cancel the reservation at that time. As for the other issue, that was an emergency repair to the dock that had a partial collapse. At this point, I have reimbursed him for one night due to the issue with the dock repair and he has disputed the credit card charge and still has NOT returned the one night refund. So basically I have paid him to stay at my condo. I would never rent to this person again. All his comments are rantings and if you read the listing, nothing is different than as described.

Don't miss this one! Amazing Condo!

  • 5 of 5

This three bedroom condo was simply fabulous!

We vacationed in June with a party of 5- including two kids. We had plenty of room for relaxing, and the kids enjoyed the lofted room with bunk beds (careful, the stairs are extremely steep.) The master bedroom was well decorated, comfortable, and the adjoining bathroom was convenient. The only negative was that this room seemed at least 10 degrees cooler than every other room, regardless of the thermostat setting.

The kitchen had everything you could need including soap, paper products, and dishes and utensils of all kinds-- nothing was overlooked by the owners. The property was clean and spacious. To help you enjoy the beach, toys, chairs and umbrellas were all included.

The enclosed balcony was my favorite part of the trip. Each morning I rose early to sit quietly and watch the Intercoastal waterway. I was lucky enough to see some dolphins-- what more could you ask for while on vacation? My son had to be dragged away from the pool each day, even though the Gulf was as warm as bath water while we were there.

The condo is on the second floor so be aware that there are 2 flights of stairs to climb. This was not a problem for our party but luggage was more challenging because of it.

Steven, the owner, was a pleasure to work with from day one. He was very responsive to questions before our trip and during our trip. He provided all of the details for the home through the VRBO app. He was also accessible by email. The consummate host, he was gracious and understanding when my 8yr old charged a couple of movies to the cable service-- lol..watch out for the on demand movies :)

The condo is convenient to many restaurants and to Tampa. We did have a rental car, so we had access to many activities in Tampa and surrounding beaches so I would definitely suggest a rental car. It was an easy rental process from the Tampa Intl airport.

If you are trying to decide about a location near Tampa or Clearwater Beach, I would recommend this one because you get the best of both worlds-- overlooking the Intercoastal and minutes from the white sand of the Gulf. It is away from the traffic side of the building so quiet and private.

Most importantly, the owner is trustworthy and very responsive.

We will be back!!

Peaceful/relaxing setting

  • 4 of 5

My family and my grandchild of age 3 really enjoyed your home. Stairs were a little steep but we managed to the loft area. Everything was accessible to cook and clean. Storeage shed a plus so we didn't have to carry any beach stuff up stairs except for our tote bags. The guys enjoyed fishing at night and the fireworks all around us on July 4th were spectacular😊 We had pool to ourselves most times but all people were friendly that were there. Beach access short walk and not bad at all. The area is very good for people with families and wanting relaxation. We hope to make it back next year. The only reason not a 5 star is that it is not on beach but it is a beautiful place.
