About Denise Longino

Retired and enjoying life!!

Denise Longino purchased this villa in 2004

Why Denise Longino chose Mississippi

This property is charming. The villa is large for a one bedroom coastal unit. Over 950 square feet with a single car garage. The property is extremely well maintained with onsite security. The gated community hosts resort features with a home-away-from-home feeling.

What makes this villa unique

GREAT LOCATION! The complex is very clean, well maintained, and conveniently located to lots of fun, great eats, and leisurely walks on the beach. The amenities are second-to-none. The pools, BBQ areas, community room, work-out room, and common areas are impeccable. There is so much to do and see along the coast. A public golf course is right next door! We enjoy the local attractions and take one or two hour day trips to New Orleans and Mobile for more exploring.

Comfortable & Clean

  • 5 of 5

Our family enjoyed staying at Villas at Legacy 703. Condo was clean & decorated nicely. Within a short walking distance to pools & beach. Owner was quick to answer questions & booking was super easy! Would love to stay again when we return to the Mississippi Gulf Coast. We enjoyed walking the white sand beach & eating at Shaggys & Jalapeño Grill. For those who love dessert The Ice Cream Corner & Melissa's Bakery are delicious!

Owner's Response: We enjoyed having you as our guests. So, you found some of our favorite eating places .... especially desserts! Our villa is centrally located to all the sights, sounds, and eateries on Beach Boulevard and beyond. Again, you were great guests and we look forward to you returning! Thanks so much!

Great Unit So Close to Beach and Casinos

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at Legacy Villas! The unit was a perfect size and very private with the arrangement of the units in the complex. We really liked having the garage available as well as being in such close proximity to the beach. You can walk to the beach from the unit or you can make about a 2-minute drive and park along Highway 90. We also used both pools on the property which were easy to walk to and had lots of seating available. There were a few issues with the cleanliness of the bathroom and bed in the unit - some hair that had not been thoroughly cleaned on the bathroom floor and on the bed linens. Although the tub was large and deep, the drain plug for the bath tub was broken making it not usable (and, I was definitely looking forward to a nice bath). Denise was very helpful and responsive in watching the hurricane paths and was very considerate of potential refunds for the unpredictable weather. Our favorite food spots were: Baja Beach (HUGE seafood burritos), Shaggy's in Biloxi, and Half Shell (especially the bananas foster french toast at Sunday Brunch). All in all, we really liked the unit, enjoyed the proximity to the fun of Gulfport and Biloxi, and would definitely stay here again on a repeat trip to this area!

As you know we contact you after your arrival to make sure everything is to your full satisfaction and answer any questions or concerns. We want your stay to be positive in every regard and, therefore, respond quickly to all that is brought to our attention. We are glad you liked our villa and the private garage. We are very excited about all the new eateries and fun things to see and do in the area. It is truly a place to engage in the many activities or lounge outside and enjoy the beautiful gulf sunsets. We welcome you back soon!

Wonderful place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

The condo is perfect for our family and so close to everything. We love the pool playground and security of the villas. Our villa was perfect for us. So relaxing and comfortable to stay in. Like the garage for our vehicle. Helps to keep it cooler in the hot sun. We will always choose this villa when we come to the coast.

Owner's Response: We are delighted you enjoyed your stay and our villa. We have worked hard to upgrade it with hardwood floors, granite, etc. This past year we removed a door in the garage to assure added security and put in some shelves for storage. The villa is spacious and airy. Outside painting of all the villas is near completion and solar lighting has been added to the pools. Glad you liked it! We look forward to your return.

Over Too Soon

  • 5 of 5

Thanks again to Denise for letting Bill and myself borrow your lovely villa for a week. We felt right at home.

First things first - the villa is spotless. Denise has thought of just about everything and is indeed a pleasure to work with. We appreciated the king size bed and fine linen. We utilized the salt water pool often and strolled the beach when it wasn't raining.

The villa is at a prime location for shopping and restaurants in Gulfport, Biloxi and Pass Christian.

There was a train in the area that startled us the first night but really didn't disturb us at all. Should we return to the Gulf Coast we will definitely stay at the Legacy Villas again.

Owner's Response: We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. Even when it rains, the local area has so much to offer. Shopping is fun, too, in nearby Ocean Springs ... just over the bridge to the east. Lovely little walking city with outdoor restaurants and boutique shops to explore. We do hope you will return soon. Thank you for being such great guests!

Close to everything

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay in Gulfport, Mississippi, especially at the Villas at Legacy because we were a short walk to the beach. The villa was very clean and comfortable for 4 people (two adults and two teens). The owner texted me a few times during our stay to see if there was anything that we needed. We especially enjoyed the pool. The location of the villa was close to everything we did. We went on the Ship Island Tour Boat, which was about a 10 minute drive to where the boat was docked. We walked to the beach to swim and kayak. My family especially enjoyed the low tide time because we had fun walking to the sand bars to look at the hermit crabs and jellyfish. Our trip was fantastic!

Owner's Response: We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and did some kayaking! The ship island cruise takes you out beyond the barrier reefs ... so shelling is always good there. We take a cooler and lunch to stay the day even tho there are concessions. Come back soon! Bring your golf clubs next time! Ya'll were great guests!

It was perfect for us.

  • 4 of 5

It was perfect for us. We were awaken by a high pitched noise one morning and another time that sounded like a smoke alarm but we went cooking and not sure if it was the smoke detector or not. You may want to check that out.

The villa is located midway between downtown Gulfport and Biloxi. We are easily accessible to Interstate 10. In Biloxi there are numerous shops, arts & crafts, and places of antiquity to occupy your time. The Saenger Theatre, Biloxi’s oldest cinema and theatre, presents several performances throughout the year. By the Hard Rock you will find a small craft harbor that has fresh shrimp for sale during the year -- just be sure to go early in the morning!!

Within driving distance we have a fantastic museum, The Ohr-O'Keefe Museum of Art, home of 'The Mad Potter.” Also, in the same area are the Biloxi Schooners (sailboats), which would offer you a beautiful sunset cruise along our shoreline for an unforgettable evening. If you really enjoy the water you can take a day trip on the Ship Island Excursion out of the Gulfport Harbor. The excursions are managed by a wonderful coast family who has continued these trips since 1926! However, the trips are usually from March until October.

If you just want to chill and relax, then this is the place. With a southern view, you will be warmed in the winter by a southern sun and blocked from the north wind. In the summer, you will enjoy our wonderful breeze off the beach and be shaded on the balcony. But bring your fishing pole to fish off the many free public fishing piers!

.

After Katrina, many of our large oaks that were severely damaged from the storm have been sculpted into sea life creatures – as they say “When life gives you lemons…” But be amazed, the oaks are returning in grand style.

As you cross over Hwy. 90 you will reach our boardwalk, which now extends for 10+ miles. Walking, jogging, biking, or even rollerblading is easily done and incredibly enjoyable along the Coast boardwalk.

The beach has a number of vendors for you to choose from for activities of parasailing, paddleboats, and jetskiing.

If you are retired military, we have Keesler Air Force Base, where the marina will rent you boats

.

Along our Coast is the historic home Beauvoir, the last home of Jefferson Davis, where a Civil War reenactment is held during the month of October. Next to the home is our Gulf Coast Coliseum which has concerts throughout the year.

Do you like to play golf? We have many courses, one just a mile to the west of the villa, each with their own personality.

At the condo, itself, you have the option of swimming, relaxing in the hot tub, and working out in the fitness room.

For short day trips, consider New Orleans and Mobile. John C. Stennis Space Center is the NASA Rocket Testing Field Center. Take a tour! A short interstate trip to New Orleans offers more entertainment, touring, and browsing. On another day travel east towards Mobile to visit Bellingrath Gardens, Fair Hope, or tour the USS Alabama. Always great places to savor fresh seafood and unique French Creole inspired dishes. Have fun, fun, fun!

So, come on down. Check out the coast and enjoy warm hospitality worth remembering!
