About Sioux-z Jessup

Hi! I am Tom's friend, Sioux-z (Suzie). I am thrilled to be managing these AWESOME townhouses & apartments that Tom built and designed. Tom is really busy constructing other masterpieces, so I am your contact person. I will leave check-in instructions once you book. I have hosted travelers from all over the world. I am a Southern California native and both Tom and I are proud to call UCLA our alma mater.

Born and raised in Southern California, I can answer any questions you have ... things to do, restaurants, favorite coffee haunts, museums, off the beaten path LA, and great foot massage places after a long day of touring!

I have traveled the world solo, climbed an active Volcano in Nicaragua, trekked to Loh Manthang, crashed a hot air balloon in Bagan, Myanmar, spent a bit of time in the Peruvian Amazon with a Shaman and yet ... Los Angeles is still my favorite place in the world.

When I am traveling, I look for a safe place that has a clean bathroom and comfortable bed.

My motto? When in doubt, plunge ahead idiotically.

Come stay in "The House That Tom Built" -- I guarantee, you will have a fabulous adventure!

Why Sioux-z Jessup chose Los Angeles

Location. Location. Location. Both the townhouses and apartments are is in one of the most popular tourist areas of Los Angeles, hands down. 5 blocks to the beach, walking distance to world class restaurants, lots of outdoor activities, and entertainment galore. Walk down the block to hear music, watch street performers, get your palms read, check out the oceanfront Venice Skate Park, and then walk to one of LA's finest eateries. Venice Beach has it all. I grew up in Los Angeles and living near the beach has always been a real draw for me. Also, parking can be a nightmare in Venice. During the construction of this property, parking was a top priority. Parking is so easy here. No elevators. No fuss. Park in your assigned place and walk 20 feet to the front door. NOTE: One parking space for the 2 bedroom townhouses. There is NO PARKING for the studio apartments, but there is non-permit street parking on Ocean Ave. And you can park for free on Washington Blvd after 6pm. This neighborhood is such a microcosm of everything Los Angeles has to offer. It is incredibly colorful and vibrant. If I did not know anything about Los Angeles, this is the exact spot I would want to visit. It is walking distance to the beach and also freeway close. Public transportation is easy as well.

What makes this apartment unique

This is brand new apartment. Tom spent a lot of time on detail creating the perfect space for travelers to relax and unwind. All the appliances are new with state of the art cookware, if you decide to dine inside. Your own parking space is right outside the apartment, so need to walk or carry your luggage too far.

Nice townhouse, clean, with very good location and well equiped A little noise.

  • 4 of 5

Overall our family had a nice stay in Venice Beach. The place is new, well equiped with nice applicances and confortable. Minor issues can make it even better like : the air conditioner is very noise and the acustic isolation could be better as it is close to a busy road. Main suite bathroom could be better equipped with space for bath ans shower items.

Place was clean and wll maintained, guest was flexible and attentive.

Amazing townhome SO close to the beach!

  • 5 of 5

This property is BEAUTIFUL!!! It is brand new with modern furnishings that we absolutely loved! The boardwalk and beach are just a short walk down Washington Blvd, and there are some terrific restaurants on Washington between the townhouse and beach. There are plenty of other wonderful places to see and eat within a short drive. If you rent a car like we did, the free reserved parking space is a very valuable convenience! Sioux-z is amazing and was so responsive to all our questions....she really is the type of owner you hope for when renting online! I highly recommend this property and I will definitely be back! Thank you Sioux-z!!

Great location, clean new

  • 4 of 5

We family of 5, the unit was very clean and excellent location.

The owners very helpful.

1 drawback it's right on the main road so you have to and so get used to the noise.

All in all an excellent stay.

Great place!

  • 5 of 5

My son and a friend stayed at this wonderful townhome. The beds were very comfortable and the entire place was very clean. There were plenty of towels and even some beach towels for the beach. Speaking of the beach, it's a very short walk to Venice Beach along Washington, to the Venice canals, and there is a kid's playground around in the corner in Marina Del Ray which my son enjoyed. We found the area to be nice with a variety of stores and places to grab a bit to eat. Overall, this place was very nice and the Sioux-z was awesome to work with booking the townhome. We originally booked 3 nights, but changed last minute to 4 nights and Sioux-z made it work.

Thanks again!
