Bruce Guyette purchased this cottage in 2010
My grandfather built our first cottage in the 1940's and I have been enjoying Lake Bonaparte my entire life. I owned the original cottage from 1992 to 2010 and eventually sold it to my siblings and built a new cottage next door. My brother also owns the cottage between us. It is a wonderful family atmosphere.
This lake house was perfect for a fall getaway. It was quiet and peaceful. It exceeded all our expectations.
Bruce was a very nice host. We look forward to coming back someday.
While our vacation was short we enjoyed every minute in this home, even in the rain. Our four year old son refused to leave. He swam, kayaked and even fished right off the dock. He was entertained by the movies and the video games when we were stuck inside during the rain. We are hoping to come back for a longer vacation next year.
It was a beautiful place. I do wish it had air conditioning. Most of the week it was in the high 80 if not 90 but overall a great week
The description was very accurate. We would definitely recommend it! The owner was pleasant, concerned, and helpful. The property was clean and very up to date. Our 10 year old fished for hours!!! The kayaks were great to have and the ducks are adorable. We loved it! The only things that could be an issue for some is the low ceilings in the loft, the neighbors smoking, and the large number of steps from the car might be tough for some. Also, hot humid weather made the house pretty warm at times. Great spot:)
Our stay at Lake Bonaparte was excellent! The property was clean, well maintained and the listing regarding the amenities, location and layout was accurate. Bruce was a great property owner to work with! He was quick to provide information to us and went out of his way to help us with questions we had regarding services provided by the local marina. The owners also provided a nice detailed binder of the property and area for guests to refer to. We would highly recommend this property.
The camp it's self was extremely nice fully equipped kitchen. However we didn't like the fact that the sister was just 2 camps down the way we felt like we were being spied on as she watched our even move when we were outside she never said hi or waved to us which we thought was extremely rude. Other then that we had a fantastic time would love to return some day...
