About Bruce Guyette
I grew up in nearby Carthage, NY and now live outside Middletown in Orange County, NY. I am a high school Math teacher and coach. My mailing address is 118 Millsburg Rd, Middletown, NY 10940
Bruce Guyette purchased this Cottage in 2010
Why Bruce Guyette chose Lake Bonaparte
My grandfather built our first cottage in the 1940's and I have been enjoying Lake Bonaparte my entire life. I owned the original cottage from 1992 to 2010 and eventually sold it to my siblings and built a new cottage next door. My brother also owns the cottage between us. It is a wonderful family atmosphere.

Lovely cabin on the lake. Great for relaxing time surrounded by nature.
Stayed at Bruce's cabin on the lake for Labour day weekend. The location is amazing, remote, quiet and in the middle of the nature. The cabin has all the modern facilities, with a huge fridge and a great propane bbq on the terrace.
The lake is extermely clean and great for swimming and kayaking and rowing(the cabin has 2 kayaks and a boat). You can actually paddle all the way to the other side of the lake for a quick bite at the Bonaparte Retreat.
Not only the facilities are great, but Bruce was a lovely host, providing us with information about the area and being available for any questions we had.
Thorougly recommend booking a holiday here!!
Beautiful, spacious, and fun!
Perfect for our family of 5! The camp is so nice that my daughter insisted it couldn't be a camp and we must have been at the wrong place! Plenty of space for my kids to get away from each other and lots of stuff to do so I never heard "I'm bored" the entire weekend. There are a lot of stairs down to the camp, but we knew that and were prepared with backpacks to keep hands free to carry other items so unloading and loading the car was easy. Truly, the fact that the camp is down the hill is what makes Baron Bay such a peaceful location that is protected from the wind. The owner has everything organized and spelled out, and very accessible if we had any questions. Would definitely rent this property again!
Can't get enough!
Could not get enough of this home! Wished I could've stayed longer! Thank you Bruce for letting my family experience a lake house. You were so accommodating and your house was very lovely. The view at anytime of the day was breath taking. I got to see my first shooting star on your deck. My boys loved waking up and being to jump into the clean lake. The Kayaks were a big plus! See you next summer!
Great getaway house on the lake
House was great, clean and spacious.
Fun times at the Lake.
We had a great time at the Lake. Bruce has done an excellent job with the lake house. The house is clean and well stocked with kitchen items. Our kids never were at a loss for things to do. The ice cream stand that is mentioned was a hit with the kids as well. We would highly recommend Trinity on Baron Bay for any family looking to unwind and turn off (electronics).
Great vacation on Lake Bonaparte
We had perfect weather all week. The camp was spacious, comfortable, and perfect for our family. The deck was special. You feel like you are right on the water. The kids got up early and kayaked across the lake every morning before breakfast. They also met some really nice neighbors who took them jet skiing, tubing, and paddle boarding. All in all, a great vacation.
