About this property

No Salt, No Sharks, No Worries

Newly renovated waterfront cottage with central air and a 2 story deck is ideally located on Crooked Lake in a unique, park like community called Watersedge Resort. The 4 bedroom, 2 full bath cottage is located on 450 feet of waterfront, with a sandy bottom beach and a private watercraft marina. The cottage is an all-season chalet which includes water sports, bike trails, skiing, snowmobiling, golfing, shopping and dinning. The one-of-a-kind shallow, sandy bottom beach stretches out more than 250 feet in less than waist deep water – Great water fun for the family. This combination of beach and park-like atmosphere makes this location the most desirable on Crooked Lake.

Fall is a special time of year when the trees come alive with vibrant colors. Jump on the paved bike trail across the road that connects Alanson to Petoskey to Charlevoix. You’re only a 6 mile bike ride to the Petoskey State Park.
Many areas to view the color changes are great, but there is nothing as commanding as the Tunnel of Trees, along the shore of Lake Michigan. This area is just north of Harbor Springs about 15 minutes from your doorstep.

The park-like property also features a private marina, with two slips available for your watercrafts of up to 26 feet. The grounds included is a volleyball court, basketball court, horseshoe pit, multiple fire pits and most of all, a tranquil setting for relaxing on a wooden swing, to watch the boats go by, read a novel or watch the fantastic sunrises or sunsets from the point.

Take a trip through the Inland Waterway on your boat or rent one from the two marinas less than 2 miles away. Crooked Lake is connected to Lake Huron by traveling through Burt Lake and Mullet Lake. It is a beautiful way to spend a sunny summer day.

Skiing and snowmobiling makes this the Midwest's Premier Winter Destination, with trails just waiting to be ridden. The ski resorts of Boyne Highlands and Nubs Nob are only about 10 minutes from your cottage. The snowmobile trails are right out your door! Ice skating, sledding sleigh rides and ice fishing are also just a sampling of what is in store for you during your dream vacation.

Spring time bring out colorful blooms and the 21 championship golf courses open for the avid golfer, which are all within 25 miles of the resort. Hikers will also enjoy this time of the year, for its many trails and paths are waiting to be explored once again. Do not forget to visit the mighty Mackinaw Bridge and Island. It is only about 30 minutes from the resort.

With all the area has to offer with its unique shops, boutiques and art galleries located in Petoskey's Gas Light District and Harbor Springs, shopping should definitely be on your list of things to do. You may also want to see if Lady Luck is with you at the 'new and ultimate' Odawa Casino in town.

Retirement Family Vacation
Wow, this was a wonderful home to stay in for my retirement from teaching vacation with my family. My husband and I had 3 adult children with us. We all had plenty of room to have our own bedroom and space. The home was a wow factor with how much they had provided. From toilet paper, paper towels, to spices, and all you could ask for in the kitchen. Plenty of linens and towels for the week. Great location to get to our destinations for the week. Loved the quaint towns and shops along the way... We enjoyed the lake and kayaks. We were looking for life jackets. Sent a message to Kevin, and we had life jackets in short order. Thank you... Will recommend this location.

Cozy waterfront cottage, perfectly located
Can't say enough good things about this property. My family and another one stayed here for a ski weekend. The house had all the amenities you could need. The beds were cozy, the location was perfect, and the property owner was a pleasure to work with. I'd definitely recommend staying here. We'd love to come back in the summer!!
