Overview

About the property

Cottage, 1 Bedrooms, 1 Baths, 4 Sleeps

Beautiful Keuka Lake is the most picturesque of New York's pristine Finger Lakes, in the heart of the wine country. It is 20 miles long, boasts about 60 miles of shoreline and a maximum depth of 186 feet. It has become the top destination in the Finger Lakes Region.

Located within a short walking distance to Keuka Lake State Park (with boat launch and many hiking trails) and Esperanza Mansion, our charmingly rustic, very clean cottage is situated on a quiet, private road with spectacular views overlooking the northwest branch of the lake. This cottage is perfect for a couple or a small family.

Sit back, unwind and enjoy the gorgeous romantic sunsets on 50 feet of lake frontage next to your crackling beach bonfire. Swim, fish, or take the rowboat out for a leisurely ride. Or simply take in the beautiful scenery from the comfortable patio chairs on the partially covered deck after a relaxing day of wine tasting.

The cottage is 7 miles from Penn Yan, 1 mile from Basin Park Marina (boat rentals, etc.), less than half a mile to fine dining at Esperanza Mansion, a very short stroll to Keuka Lake State Park, close to the famous Keuka Lake Wine Trail for tastings and tours, hiking, golfing, gift shops, antiques, many restaurants and much more.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Great to experience the lake and surrounding areas this time of year.

The cottage is perfect, quite a change from the "trapper's cabin" remembered from my youth spent just two doors down Esperanza from 1951-1960. Family moved out west. Forty year anniversary surprise trip from my wife. I have not been back since 1963, and she had never been further East than Montana. All my stories were validated and connections made with relatives and family friends.

Thank you so much for this, it was perfect.

My husband and I absolutely loved staying at this cute cottage. The location and view was even more beautiful than the pictures! We really enjoyed using the fire pit by the water. Definitely recommend!

Gorgeous view!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the cottage! The area was very quiet and relaxing, the view was truly amazing- I could not get enough of it. We were fortunate to have good weather so that we could use the kayaks, those were fun. For the most part, the cottage was well-stocked, just a few small items were not available (paper towels, aluminum foil), but not an inconvenience at all. If you have limited mobility or are traveling with small children, there are steps both down to the cottage and down to the beach.

Perfect fall weekend!

  • 5 of 5

We arrived on Friday evening. The cottage was clean and inviting. The homes location provided privacy but also quick access to lots of great wineries and restaurants. The complementary kayaks were lots of fun as well bonfire area on the beach. We would definitely recommend and look forward to visiting Finger Lakes again!

Quaint, cozy, clean cottage, cute small towns, lots to do, very relaxing

  • 5 of 5

Cottage was super clean, quaint, and cozy. Owners thought of everything, packed way more than I needed to bring. Fishing off dock or in rowboat was great, lots of small perch, and blue gill. Glen Curtiss Museum and shopping in Hammondsport make for a nice day. Wine tasting is a must, and a fun time. Corning is about an hour away. If you like glass, the museum is a must see, schedule in advance to make a glass object, very affordable and a great experience. Great vacation, very relaxing, many things to do, so you can unwind anyway you like. Would definitely stay at this cottage again, has window air conditioning, which was great since our first 3 days were in the upper 80's to 90's at the end of September. Can see the lake from the sunroom or living room area. Part of deck is covered with a picnic table under it, so you can be outside and grill, even if it is raining. There is a hammock for lounging, and chairs down at the lake to sit in and watch the water and wildlife. Loved fishing off the end of the 30 foot dock, even has a ladder on it, so you can climb back up onto it, if you decide to swim. Owner's have thought of everything to provide you with a comfortable escape from your everyday life.

Perfect Getaway

  • 5 of 5

What a perfect place to spend a week. The cottage had everything we needed with beautiful views, lovely sunsets and meals out on the deck. We loved the fact that Keuka State Park was just a short stoll away.......... good for our morning walk. We spent the days exploring the area and were happy to come back to the cottage to sit by the lake.

Truly a Hidden Gem!

  • 5 of 5

This very quaint cottage sits with a perfect view of the lack. We had a very relaxing stay and spent everyday enjoying the lake. The cottage was clean and had everything a family would need. The owner is friendly and very quick to respond to any questions. We created some great memories and look forward to another visit.
