A short 15-minute drive from downtown Austin TX, "Perfect Aust-Inn" is located just West of Mopac and North of 2222. Sited in rolling hills of West Austin, this limestone home features a unique mix of antique and modern touches and is situated in a quiet, secluded neighborhood of upscale homes. Perfect Aust-Inn is spacious enough for a large gathering and beautifully decorated with careful attention given to such details as cozy bedding, reading lights, plentiful power strips for phones and computing, luxurious linens, towels and tasteful décor.

We can reconfigure the furnishings to provide 1 big open room for conference table or chairs with an aisle. Just let us know your needs and we can probably get there.

The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped for the family chef, with a stainless steel 6-burner duel-fuel gas range, convection oven, convection/halogen/microwave oven and all the appliances and amenities you need to prepare a delicious feast! The breakfast table seats 6 with 6 more seats at the island and peninsula. The dining room comfortably seats 10.

The family room offers beautiful backyard scenery through windows and more windows. This room also features a gas log fireplace, two exits to the backyard, and gas grill. For entertainment: 47” LED flat screen TV, Netflix (ours or yours), Chromecast, and Bluetooth enabled Sony digital 7.1 surround so your playlist can really soar.

The master suite is furnished with an amazing leather high-back king-size memory foam bed. The master bath offers glass double vanities, a garden spa inspired walk-in shower with frameless glass door, and a private water closet.

The second floor hosts two bedrooms with a shared bath. Each bedroom has a queen size bed, as well as ample closet and storage space. The spacious second floor bath features granite double vanities and a fresh subway tiled shower/bath.

If desired, the dining room converts into a 4th bedroom with a very comfortable and regular height queen size bed. Ample drawer and cabinet storage helps you put everything in its place for a comfortable stay.

You may also entertain yourself with Netflix, wireless broadband Internet, board games and a wide selection of books. Of course, a trip to Austin’s Perfect Aust-Inn means you’ll be close to numerous activities in town that include live music, great food and a slew of festivals. A wide variety of lake activities await you on Lady Bird Lake (aka Town Lake), Lake Austin, or Lake Travis. Perfect Aust-Inn is the perfect Austin getaway!

About Glen

We've been in Austin for the past 20+ years. Love it. Can't leave it!

Glen grew up in Lubbock TX, escaped to Baylor University and kept going south until he found the little oasis of Austin. Karl hails from Irving TX (DFW), oddly enough escaped to Lubbock Christian University, and then found his way to Austin. We love Austin because it lets us keep our Texan status but live in a unique part of the state - aka California LOL.

Why Glen chose Austin

We bought this property 10 years ago. We lived in a suburb, Pflugerville, and worked downtown Austin at the time. That was quite the commute. Even a decade ago, we found Austin housing daunting from a pricing perspective, but we found this amazing jewel that realtors were not showing anymore - after 18 months on the market. It was overgrown, needed some TLC, and was our way to move into town.

After a successful career change into an entrepreneurial world, we have completely renovated the place - every room. We joke that this house has the nicest laundry room you will ever use, but it is true. The kitchen is crazy awesome. As of this writing, I think we have eaten out 3 times since completing the renovation. It's just too much fun!

What makes this house unique

There are gorgeous homes all over this area. The beauty of this house before the remodel was this neighborhood, which is nestled in the hills of west Austin. So, our neighbors are great and we hardly ever see them. With the houses on 1/2 acre lots on a hill, seeing the neighbors takes a little effort. We love the seeming isolation right in the middle of everything. Post remodel, this house speaks to our aesthetic, makes cooking wonderful and healthy meals a breeze, and lets us entertain in a perfect setting.

Great house!! Very comfortable layout with a couple of levels, beds were comfy, gorgeous kitchen and the property was clean and inviting. The owner was very accommodating and easy to work with! We would love to use the house on a return visit. Beautiful neighborhood in an area with hills that were great for a walking workout.

We had such a wonderful experience at this property. The Homeowner's clearly love this house. It is roomy, well-appointed and well-stocked!! The neighborhood is lovely and quiet. Glen and Karl are fantastic. We highly recommend!!

Beautiful and Bright Home in Upscale In-Town Neighborhood

This is a beautiful house situated in the hills of northwest/central Austin. We had four adults (two married couples) plus three children (ages 10, 5, and 2) staying in the house, and it could not have been more comfortable. I grew up in Austin, so I already knew that the location was great: it's a short drive to the UT campus and downtown, but it's a quiet and pretty neighborhood in the hills. Only minutes from two of the prettiest places in Austin: Mount Bonnell Park and Laguna Gloria Art Museum. And also close to lots of great shopping, dining, etc.

As for the house itself, it has been newly remodeled, and everything looks and feels new and top-of-the-line. The open kitchen is a gleaming wonder of brand-new appliances, marble counter-tops, and sleek wood cabinets. It's also fully stocked with cooking gear and pantry essentials. The furniture throughout the house, including the beds, is super-comfortable and in great shape. The bathrooms are also spotless. The NEST thermostats made it easy to keep the temperature exactly as we wanted it upstairs and downstairs. The wi-fi Internet connection was blazing fast. The house is on a steep hill, but the back porch and yard were plenty big for our kids to run around.

In short, it had everything we wanted, and everything worked! We stayed for eight nights, and would happily do so again.

KU v. TX Trip - Awesome Rental

Great house. Glen's place was perfect for our group of 11 young adults who were in town for the KU TX football game. We got the house on short notice (2 days before) because some other plans fell thru. Glen was more than accommodating to get the house set up for our large group. When we arrived everything we possibly needed was laid out on the instruction sheet. Glen let us use all of his home accessories (including the condiments in the fridge!!).

The house was beautiful. Plenty of rooms for the group, it was way better than staying in a hotel, it felt like home the minute we got there. Backyard was great to hang out in, and the kitchen was a perfect area for the whole group to eat together.

Driving in to town from Houston we were nervous that the house was going to be far away from downtown/stadium. As we got closer we really got excited about the house because it is in a beautiful/safe/friendly part of Austin. The hills were beautiful and every house on the street was cool looking. Looking back on the trip I realize there was NO problem at all with the distance from downtown. Very Very Very cheap Uber/Cab and about 12 minutes.

Great house, recently remodeled kitchen, plenty of rooms, accommodating owners and close to downtown are a few of the many reasons I give this house 5 stars and plan to stay here again next time my trip brings me to Austin.

Beautiful House and Neighborhood

This was a great location for our bachelor party. Perfect pit stop to relax after our busy days and nights. The owners were great and always quick to respond with any questions. Never had a problem getting around and Uber was always close by.

Great Location

There were six of us staying there for our friends 30th birthday. The owners of the home even left a six pack in the fridge for us! This is a great location, it's a cheap über ride away from dowtown. Lovely home with modern touches and plenty of room for whatever activities you have on your mind. I would strongly suggest staying here for whatever reason you are going to Austin. 5 stars all the way!
