Guestbook comments from the owner

This was the second time my husband and I stayed at Whispering Woods. The first was in Nov. 2016 right after getting engaged. When it came time to plan a weekend getaway for our first anniversary, It was the first thought I had: Book Again!

It's lovely & appreciate the hospitality. And my husband made sure I wrote in this book to thank you for the addition of the ROKU sticks.

All the Best!

Charming cabin in a gated community

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Whispering Woods Cottage in Lake Cumberland Resort. It was everything we expected and more! The cabin was quaint and clean. We felt safe in the area and we enjoyed the privacy offered by the gated community. The country store on the premises offered basic food supplies, such as milk, pizza and Dippin' Dots. ;) The community pool looked very clean and well-maintained, though we didn't visit it. It was just a stone's throw away from the cabin. The hot tub was a relaxing spot for my husband, who also appreciated the grill, coffee maker, recliner and satellite TV. We highly recommend this property to anyone who is staying in the area! We hiked at Daniel Boone National Forest (trails 6, 12 and 9--we highly recommend Eagle Falls on trail 9).

Additionally, the owner of the cabin contacted us prior to our visit upon realizing that the tenants before us had broken the sofa bed. She did her best to resolve the issue and we were more than pleased by her hospitality.

We rented this cabin in June of 2018. When we arrived we found the house to be very clean and very nice. The hot tube was great along with the pool. It is a very quiet area and we cooked out on the deck and enjoyed the walks in the woods. Sue was great to work with and we would def stay here again. Thanks you so much!

Beautiful cabin and surroundings for a wonderful getaway.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in the cabin for the week. My husband and I along with two 12 year olds. The cabin had everything that we could of needed. The boys slept on the pull out which is a pullout couch so not very comfortable. There were plenty of extra blankets and linens. The convenience of having the washer/dryer was nice. We stayed gone most days and then enjoyed the pool in the evening. Very quiet there during the week. We also saw some wild life and had an owl that was perched about 15 feet from the deck. Would definitely stay here again.

Quaint Cottage with Everything You Need and More!

  • 5 of 5

My fiancé and I stayed here for our first family vacation with our 11 month old and it was perfect. Plenty of space for us, super clean and had just about everything we needed to make our stay a cozy one. The hot tub was great and clean as well. The bed was comfortable and pillows were nice. We loved the gated community and the drive to get to it is beautiful. The WiFi worked perfect and there was even access to Netflix! I would highly recommend staying here! My only regret is that we didn't stay long enough.
