I - 95. Known as the "Sailfish Capital of the World, its a boater's paradise. Stuart also has many great restaurants, especially seafood. Surrounding area offers lots of golf, tennis, and other parks activities.
We are midway between Miami and Orlando. Approx 2 .5 hour drive to Disney World.
Tom and I love fixing up houses and we feel we have done a great job with this one. We have two great rental houses, this one and another in Juno Beach FL.641336. This one is especially desirable if you have a boat and need a deep water dock. The house is very nice, especially with the upstairs master suite with its own deck.
Cynthia Nielsen purchased this house in 2001
Boating community, from the house there are no fixed bridges to ocean access or local fishing.
26' dock, back yard hammock, boat lift,
Entire second floor is master suite with its own deck
Open floor plan, stainless appliances, newly renovated kitchen with large decks both downstairs and upstairs. Our location is very central and close to everything. Jump on 95 or visit downtown Stuart, each just a few minute drive. For St Louis Cardinal Fans this house is 20 minutes from the stadium.
Owners were very hospitable. Home was clean and well furnished. Location is only minutes from downtown Stuart, and a Publix Supermarket 5 minutes from the house. Beautiful view from back porch of the river. Would book again.
Cynthia and Tom went out of their way to make sure everything was great. We love Stuart, this was our first time visiting this part of Florida and will definitely try to come back. Stores, restaurants, and grocery stores are all close by. The neighborhood is very quiet and neighbors couldn't have been friendlier.
We love this property and had a great time! Thanks Cynthia and Tom for a wonderful vacation. The home is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Love the new kitchen. We stayed in the guest bedroom and felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Great view from the back deck. The neighborhood is beautiful and the neighbors were very friendly. We love Stuart and can't wait to come back!
We enjoyed bringing in the New Year in your lovely home. Sitting on the deck overlooking the water was spectacular. Thanks for every little thing and your thoughtfulness! Hope we can do it again next year!

My husband and I rented this property for the month of Feb. One hour prior to check in we received a call asking us to stay at the owners other rental in Juno Beach for one night and then come back to the house that we had booked and paid for the following night because the house was not ready. The reason being that they had installed a new kitchen the day before. We had booked this property in Oct so there was ample time to prepare the house for rental. We were not willing to be inconvenience in this way so agreed to check in at 6pm rather than 1pm. We were compensated for this inconvenience by a free cleaning service paid for by the owner later in the month. Even when we were finally able to check in the house was not as described in the listing. It was described as a 2 bedroom house with one king size bed and one queen size bed. In actuality it was a one bedroom with an office with a love seat which pulled out to a twin size bed. This was not acceptable to us as we were expecting quests. Eventually the owners did replace the love seat with a queen size mattress.
The dishwasher did not work from the time we arrived until it was replaced over 2 weeks into our stay.
There was a previous (prior to our arrival) leak in the ceiling with obvious damage. Mold had accumulated around this damage. During a rain storm during our stay the ceiling leaked water onto the floor and furniture.
There were many other smaller issues with this house that made it a very disappointing stay, especially with the price charged. We requested a partial refund but owner was not willing to consider this.
The back yard of this property is very private with water view and many very large boats going by. With some work this house could be lovely but we feel that it was definitely not worth the amount charged. We very much enjoyed going to Stuart for the Sunday concerts and daily walks with our dog in Halpatiokee Park.
We would not recommend this property as a vacation rental. When you pay that much for a rental it should be relaxing and stress free. This was not.
This area is geared toward boating and fishing. Very scenic local boating or make your way to the St Lucie Inlet - for deep sea fishing - just a few minutes away. Stuart is the Sailfish Capital of the world
St Louis Cardinal Fans - Stadium is 20 minutes from here!
