About Tom & Shelly Baker
We are a working couple with grown kids and 2 dogs, and we love the country. Our families have been in the area for over a hundred years. Shelly's grandmother was even the Pultneyville Postmaster. Our house right next door is an 1883 farm house, largely original, and with 7 acres with lake views. We spend our spare time fixing up the place and refinishing antiques. A lot of the time we sit on the porch and, sit. Like you we also love to travel, and do a lot of that.
Tom & Shelly Baker purchased this Cottage in 2012
Why Tom & Shelly Baker chose Williamson
This cottage was on the property next to our house when we bought it in 2012. In 2014 we finally got around to renovating it. It had been migrant housing for many years. It's popular now as a jump off point for Rochester and the finger Lakes region, as well as for snow-birds coming back, with fishermen, and also with bicyclists.
What makes this Cottage unique
The PHOC is close to everything, but quiet and peaceful. We have priced this to be gentle on your wallet, but with all that you need. We love meeting our new guests, and hope they feel like family and keep coming back.

Keep your head down!
The only negative was having to duck under lamps and doorways. I am 6'7" tall. Pultneyville is a pleasant place. Food and service at Deli excellent. Cornwall Nature Preserve is a must! 12 acres of uncut forest on the Lake. We were there for five days. Preserve closed on Wednesday. Went there every chance available. About a two minute walk from cabin. Apple orchards have actual trees as opposed to GMO sticks. Going back in the spring with a better camera.
It was so very wonderful to come back to the quiet, country living we are used to.
Plenty of places to explore with my best friend!

Adorable Cottage Close to Lots of Attractions
The Pultneyville Harbor Office Cottage was the perfect spot for my family of three to stay while visiting Rochester, NY and a variety of parks and attractions along Lake Ontario. Comfortable and quiet, the cottage had everything we needed for our stay. Nice beds including an ingenious convertible sofa that made the most of the small space. The inside is newly remodeled, well maintained and adorably decorated. The cottage has plenty of outdoor seating. We were too exhausted after our days hiking and kayaking to make use of the fire pit and grill, but they would have made for a great evening of entertainment without going anywhere had we been so inclined.
The A/C was adequate for the space. WiFi was a bit wonky during our stay but we were on vacation to take a break from the world anyway. This place was perfect. We’ll stay there again if we return to the Finger Lakes region.
Cute, Clean, Comfortable
I had a nice stay while I was in town for an event. The property had everything I needed.
Reasonably priced and great location!
Great place. Cottage is very small - kitchen is tiny. But it worked just fine for our needs. It's a great "home base" to come back to and sleep at night and eat some food so you don't have to eat out every meal. I wouldn't prepare a big complicated meal in the kitchen. Great location. Our family of 6 plus our dog stayed here as we visited Niagara, historic sites in Palmyra, and explored Lake Ontario. We were all comfortable - even though it was probably one of the hottest weekends in July.
