Photos and Description of this 2 bedroom holiday cottage in Williamson - The Harbor Office Cottage

Sleeps up to 6 at a great price. Renovated in 2014.

The Pultneyville Harbor Office Cottage is the perfect size for a couple or a small family. Stay with us for your visit or vacation.

**We also own and rent out a cottage in Sodus Point - A Little Peace at The Point - please check it out**

*** Our second season is a wrap, thanks to all our great cottagers, we loved hosting you!***Book now for 2017 ***

Totally renovated in 2014 the cottage is located among 1800’s homes and just a half-mile from historic Pultneyville. This sweet little abode began life in the early 1900’s as the Pultneyville Harbor Office, before being moved to its present location in the 1950’s. In 2014 we went through it stem to stern, and painted, mended, or replaced everything in her, while keeping the original heart and soul of the cottage.

The family room has a sofa (sleeper) and 2 chairs, plus a bar height table and stools for dining or game-play. A Flat screen TV with Google Chromecast is provided and free Wi-Fi. (NOTE Strong reception for AT&T & Verizon Wireless cell service)

Mature shade trees and a wonderful lake breeze keep you cool in the summer. **NEW in 2016 we added a window AC Unit that works great even on the hottest of days** 3 Fans are also provided.

The newly renovated kitchen features all new appliances, cabinets and finishes. If you want to cook, the kitchen is ready for you with complete cookware and dinnerware. A microwave, coffeemaker, toaster, and a blender are included too. An outside gas grill is also provided.

There are 2 bedrooms, both with double beds (NEW Serta Perfect Sleepers 2015). There is a sleeper sofa in the living room that sleeps 2 as well. Linens included! (additional fees apply for more than 4 people).

The bathroom has all new fixtures and finishes and is very roomy, and includes a tub/shower unit. Towels provided.

***Please note there is to be NO SMOKING in The Cottage***

Step outside and enjoy seating on the covered front porch, with a beautiful view of the cherry orchard across the street (we are surrounded by orchards). In the back is a stone patio with a table and chairs, and a fire pit (wood is available). A short 5 minute walk across the street brings you to a 100-foot high bluff with beautiful views of Lake Ontario.

And there is plenty to do nearby…the area is known for antique shops, dining, boating, and fishing.

Take a half-mile walk to town, and you’ll find the Pultneyville Grille & Bar, the Pultneyville Deli & Up Pub, an Art Gallery, museum, antique shop, churches, and beautiful Pultneyville Harbor.

10 minutes east by car is Sodus Point, a dining, boating and fishing mecca. There are 2 lighthouses, a museum (free summer Sunday concerts on the lawn 2PM), fishing pier, several marinas, boat rentals, charter fishing boats, 2 playgrounds, skate park, ball field, really nice public beach(with lifeguards), multiple restaurants (open late), ice cream stands, gift shop, church, and convenience market.

3 miles east is Hughes Marina, with fishing, boat docks, boat launches and boat and kayak rentals. 4 miles west is the Bear Creek boat launch operated by the Town of Ontario (permit required), and this is a very popular fishing location.

Palmyra is 20 minutes south.

We live right next door and will be happy to be your host for your stay, and help you locate any of the local services. Why choose a hotel for more money when you can stay with us at The Pultneyville Harbor Office Cottage?

Please contact us directly if you have any questions (phone or text). Look for us also on Air B and B.

About Tom & Shelly Baker

We are a working couple with kids in college, and we love the country. Our families have been in the area for over a hundred years. Shelly's grandmother was even the Pultneyville Postmaster.

Our house right next door is an 1883 farm house, largely original, and with 7 acres with lake views.

We spend our spare time fixing up the place and refinishing antiques. A lot of the time we sit on the porch and, sit.

Tom & Shelly Baker purchased this cottage in 2012

Why Tom & Shelly Baker chose New York

We loved antiques so much we bought one to live in and it came with this cottage!

Died and gone to heaven, the sweetest summers on the planet are right here.

The front porch, the area, the quiet, the old trees, the apple orchards all around, are just a few of the reasons we are here.

What makes this cottage unique

The PHOC is close to everything, but quiet and peaceful. We have priced this to be gentle on your wallet, but with all that you need. We love meeting our new guests, and hope they feel like family and keep coming back.

Wonderful cottage in beautiful Pultneyille

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Every comfort and convenience can be found inside and outside the cottage, and Tom and Shelly are gracious and easy-going hosts. I will be back again and again.

A quiet, cozy spot

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay, but were tight. To give perspective, when the sofa bed is pulled out, it is very difficult to pass by.

Definitely beats a hotel, but with more than 4, it's a cramped space.

We really enjoyed the grill and the fire pit and the area has a lot to offer (Niagra was 1.5 hours, Watkins Glen State Park was 40 min., Palmyra was 20 min. but the fruit stands and the lake were outside the front door, and the quiet was priceless).

Would stay here again and recommend it to others.

Owner's Response: Hi Shannon, thanks for staying with us. It is tight at night with 6. We are considering converting the small outbuilding in the back yard to a third bedroom. Maybe when you come again it will be available. -Tom & Shelly

Cute and cozy

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved your cottage. We have had all our needs met. I really loved the table and chairs in the backyard especially for coffee and listening to the sounds of nature every morning. Everyone slept well. We are a very close family and we cooperated very well with sleeping arrangements and bathroom time. Everyone agrees this was a great choice. In a hotel, it's not as cozy, nor do you have a kitchen to cook in. Thanks for all your attention to detail!!!

cute cottage in a gorgeous area

  • 5 of 5

we are a family of 7- 5 kids ranging from 9 to 1 year. It was a little tight which was what was to be expected but we made it work. There was a lot of yard for the kids to play and it was a very quiet area so felt very safe. There is a beach town about 10 minutes away and the kids played in Lake Ontario which was fun, there is a playground and ice cream shops which made for a nice evening. Overall the house was clean and had everything we needed. We only stayed 2 nights but it it made for a pleasant stay.

A little gem located just perfectly for waterfall seekers and lovers!!

  • 5 of 5

Our six days in Pultneyville flew faster than we could've imagined!! The Pulneyville Harbor Office is located just perfectly for those seeking a small harbor town atmosphere, yet close enough to visit AMAZING State Parks such as Watkins Glen, Montour Falls, Chimney Bluffs, Lecthworth, and Niagra. Sodus Point was just a short drive up the road along GORGEOUS Lake Ontario.

While the house is tiny, it worked just fine for our family of five. The only comfort it lacks from home is a washer and dryer, but who wants to do laundry on vacation anyway?! Tom and Shelly have created an eclectic little lake home that is cozy with a twist of modern! The house is very clean and well maintained...a must in our search for properties! We enjoyed meals on the patio and a fire nearly every evening! Tom checked in throughout our stay to ensure we had everything we needed and was extremely helpful providing local points of interest!

Thank you Tom and Shelly for making our stay very memorable!! We plan to return in a few years to explore the region further! It's a gem for sure!!!
