This is a truly unique Oceanfront home. Completely remodeled... with three bedrooms each with it's own private bath. This includes two master suites.
The home, uniquely designed with five levels, maximizes ocean views and sunsets throughout. Private grounds, private oceanfront sun with your own dune walk and private two car garage. Must see to appreciate.
No smoking, Please. Pets Considered.
I am a 30 year Teacher/Athletic Director at a Prep School in Northeastern Connecticut. My wife Ann-Marie owns her own business. We are very excited to share our new home with you and hope you thoroughly enjoy your stay at the beach!!!
Eric Gustavson purchased this condo in 2015
This is our dream come true. We love the ocean, swimming, surfing , walking on the beach and viewing the wildlife. Our property is situated between two federally protected turtle nesting areas with a bird sanctuary across the street. The fact that there are only two neighbors in the other 2 condo units gives us all the privacy we need.
Sunrises and sunsets....steps to the beach. Some of the best surfing, waves and fishing on the entire east coast, just 2 miles north of Sebastian Inlet State Park. 10 minutes to Melbourne, !5 minutes to Vero Beach and an hour to Orlando.
I hesitate to write this review because once the word gets out I may not be able to come back. Gull House is a light, airy, expansive home that is surrounded by lush greenery and the azure blue of the ocean. With 3 amble bedrooms’ family members or guests will be assured some “alone time”. We chose to sleep in the back bedroom, there is a master suite one level up, because I wanted to fall asleep and rise to the sound of the waves.
We spent most of our time on the top level in the kitchen or on the deck overlooking the ocean. The kitchen is well stocked with any type of cooking accessory you might need to make your stay memorable. There is also an outdoor grill in the garage.
The beach was empty with the exception of a few mornings where fishermen dotted the shore. I began each morning walking the dog on the deserted beach with a cup of coffee savoring the sunrise. Absolutely priceless. You are secluded at the Gull House so if you want “action” this is not the place for you. I, on the other hand, loved it.
About 10 miles north you will find a Publix for grocery shopping and 20 miles south you will find the wonderful boutique shopping in the town of Vero Beach. If you have time make a reservation at The Tides for dinner http://www.tidesofvero.com. We are golfers and were able to play several courses including the http://www.aquarinabeachandcountryclub.com/ just 2 ½ miles away.
One last shout out. In my haste, I left some items behind in a drawer. Claudia, the property manager, sent the items to my home the next day and would not accept anything as compensation. She made our experience exceptional.
Stayed here for almost three weeks over Christmas '16 and it was exactly what we were looking for: Beachfront, quiet & private, and well-appointed for entertaining family and friends in the area. The house was as-described in the listing, and the owner/agent were extremely responsive and easy to work with. There were a couple of questions and minor things that needed attending to during our stay and the owner's agent was right on top of it.
The house layout is great for entertaining with lots of congregating spaces. Between the seating areas and balcony on the main level, beach-side deck and the beach right out front -- even with five adults staying in the house and family and friends visiting -- we never got the feeling of being on top of one another.
The house is located in a very lightly developed area 2mi North of the Sebastian Inlet State Park, and is close to a lot nature preserves (Archie Carr Nat'l Wildlife Refuge & Indian River Lagoon Preserve State Park), kayak/canoe and runabout boat rentals at Honest John's Fish Camp, restaurant/convenience store at Longpoint, a local Surf & Sport shop and a great Publix Supermarket 10mi up the beach.
Whether you're up for surfing the break out front, or Spanish House or Monster Hole further south, surfcasting, kayaking/paddle boarding with manatees and dolphins around Mullet Creek on the Indian River, bicycling down to the Inlet for bird watching there or in the other sanctuaries, or just relaxing on the beach with a book, I don't think you'll find a better place in the area.
Hope to be able to get back soon!
I can't say enough good things about this rental - it was (despite a slight interruption from Hurricane Matthew!) the most relaxing place we've ever stayed in. We saw very few people indeed during our time on the beach which was exactly what we'd planned. The beach was beautiful white soft sand - before Matthew arrived - hopefully it will be back to its pristine condition by now. The house itself has everything you could need and is beautifully furnished. One of my favorite memories will be sitting on the sofa and looking right to watch the waves and left to see the sunset! Perfect... can't wait to return.
We had a wonderful stay!!! The weather was perfect. The second day we were there my son and I went fishing with Eric Metcalf. We caught 8 over sized Red fish and a 32" Snook. My son also hooked in to a Goliath grouper, 350 lbs. He brought it up to side of boat and released. We also saw a Loggerhead turtle crawl out of the sea at sunrise and lay her eggs. I also bought some surf tackle at Whitey's across the street and caught some Pompano in front of the Gull House with sand fleas. We saw lots of dolphin, rays and a manatee swim by while sitting on the beach.
What more can you ask for.
Yes we would like the first two weeks of May for 2017.
We came back again this year because we had a great time last visit. We are happy with the location, beach is great, and the townhouse is very comfortable, with everything you need for your stay. Although there is only the two of us, the house has enough bedrooms and baths for an extended family or two families. Neighbors are great people and very helpful too. We look forward to another return next year. 55+ must be active, lots of stairs.
This was our second vacation at the Gull House. Everyday we couldn't beleive how wonderful our stay was. The weather ranged from 84-90 degrees each day. The water temp. was 78 to 80 degrees. Some days the water was calm some days wild. Everyday was new and fun in the water. One day of rain. The house couldn't be laid out better! The three bedrooms are on three different levels, each with it's own bathroom. We were there on the weekends with our two grown sons and their spouces. The fourth level is the real gem. LIvingrooms at both ends. One end has a very large oceanveiw ant other the sunsets on the intercoastal. In the center a most adequate kitchen and dining space. My youngest son is a CIA grad and chef. We did bring some extra cooking equipment and made many great meals. The publix is 7 miles doen the road. Across the street from the Gull House is Long Point. Maybe a 1/4 mile south. There is a boat rental and Kayak launch. Also at Long Point there is a little store. with basics and very fresh fish, smoked fish and fish dip. the German restaurant ( 4 miles north) has good food and great bayside seating. Everyone was happy. This place is very secluded. The beach is usually empty.
The house is well kept and modern. Very nice bathrooms.
Thanks to the owners for sharing.
