Living room has 50" plasma TV, DVD/VHS player, and several movies to choose from. Relax and de-stress on the extra large deck overlooking the water, or take a stroll among the many flower garden paths, or visit the fruit orchard only yards away. Perfect Getaway Spot

Our stay here could not have been better. The cottage is in the most beautiful setting imaginable with a deck over the water and the peaceful sound of the water easily heard from the deck and surrounded by beautiful flowers. It is serene and private, yet close to town. It was thoughtfully decorated and outfitted with anything you might need for your stay and I have to say I don't think I've ever stayed in a rental with so many thoughtful touches. As an added bonus, the owners were not only super easy to work with but extremely nice and thoughtful. If you are looking for some very peaceful days away from your busy life, you can't go wrong booking this wonderful retreat. And....if you decide to go out, there are good restaurants and some great antiquing in nearby Mena.

Perfect respite for peaceful reflection after a stressful season!

We stayed at this house for an extended weekend recently to celebrate my husband's birthday. When we arrived we found the house to be so warm and welcoming. Roland and Becky had fixed up some birthday surprises for my husband (homemade cookies.. mmmm!). They even came to greet us shortly after our arrival. It was so nice to get to meet them and talk, and extremely helpful for them to go over some of the details you don't even think to ask about until you need something! They keep this place VERY well stocked with all the little things you need. I've stayed at a lot of VRBO's and I think this was the best-stocked kitchen I've ever experienced! They even had treats for the dogs! And how wonderful it was to be able to bring our two small dogs! One of the things we loved the most about this place was it's remoteness. We took the dogs for long walks down the country lane it takes to get there and there was NO traffic, just peaceful, serene woods and farms and the river. We had planned to get out and go sight-seeing and shopping during this trip. But, once there we didn't want to leave. Even when it rained, it was nice to just look out over the river from the comfort of the living room and reflect. The bed was super comfortable. Neither of us had any trouble sleeping at all (this is an unusual thing for us, even at home!) This ended up being the most RESTFUL getaway either of us had ever experience, a much needed respite after a busy holiday season. If you need to de-stress, this is the place to go! It's top of my list now! ~Debbie & Steve G

Have never stayed in a place that was so together. Everything you need in basic needs provided. The quiet would inspire the best lines ever written in a song, sermon movie and book. Clean and ideal to recharge while unplugged. An 11 on a ten scale. Loved the bloodhound.

We expected to enjoy our stay at The Glass House Retreat but had no idea that we were about to discover a little bit of Heaven on earth! It was even more beautiful than we expected! We can truly say from the moment we drove down the tree lined drive and glimpsed the welcoming lights of the Glass House we knew we had made the right choice for our much needed get-away. It was all so welcoming; the delicious fresh cookies, the "welcome David and Vicki" sign, soft music playing....everything was lovely and made us feel so special! The house is charming and spotlessly clean and comfortable and the view of the trees, river and wildlife beautiful beyond words. Roland and Becky are wonderful people and did everything they could to help us enjoy our stay....in fact we felt like we were staying with dear friends. We really did! We highly recommend The Glass House for honeymooners, family vacations or quiet get -aways as there's plenty to do on the property or in the area. Lots of great restaurants and antique stores just a few minutes away. We will go back to the Glass House regularly and think of it as "our special place". ........ David and Vicki Stohl

If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful Getaway this is the place!!! I could have stayed here the whole trip with my cup of coffee on the deck by the creek and a good book! :D Roland and Becky greeted us as soon as we arrived and made us feel welcome! We really enjoyed all the extra's that Roland and Becky did for us to make it feel more at home. Very nice & clean place! A little about our stay here.... We visited the Historic Janssen Park and The Mena Depot and Antiquing then went to breakfast at the Queen's Restaurant (Also known as the "Castle in the sky " about 30 mins. away) after we went to "Little Missouri Falls" This was Beautiful!!! A must see if you are in the area. We must've stay about 2 hours relaxing here. ( from the The Glass House it was about an hour and half.) Some of the restaurants we ate at Papa's Cafe, Stache's, and Pasisano's Italian ( We enjoyed them all) After a long day we couldn't wait to get back to The Glass House Retreat to watched good movies and popcorn to relax. On our way back to Louisiana we decided to take the scenic drive and visited Lake Ouachita then to Hot Springs. We would highly Recommand this place! Thank you for sharing your Glass House Retreat with us! We will definitely go back! :D

Beautiful home, gracious hosts! We had a great retreat on this serene and peaceful slice of heaven. Becky and Roland had everything we needed, even home baked treats and fresh vegetables from the garden. Lots of extra amenities added to the welcoming touch. The property is secluded, yet convenient to town and activities. We plan to return and will definitely refer the Glass House retreat to friends and family.
