Property type cottage

About the property

Cottage, 4 Bedrooms, 4 Baths, 14 Sleeps

Our house is a classic example of what most people think a beach house should be! It is NOT a rental property. It is a family beach house owned by several families - offered to other families for a once-in-a-lifetime memory-making experience for families and friends!! You can even hear the surf!

You can expect a very traditional rustic beach cottage on 5 acres of exclusive private native reserve between Vero Beach and Fort Pierce. Our house is a spacious rough-hewn cedar structure less than 50' from the beach! Did we mention.......you can even hear the surf!

Perfect for any age family or group of friends. Comfortably sleeps 12-16 people. Handicapped and infant accessories.

Elevated wrap-around covered deck with benching and private boardwalk to the beach - outdoor showers and lazy hammocks - "great" kitchen and memorable gathering spots - all the amenities you need, just bring yourself - we even have a library! You can even hear the......okay, you get the idea....we are RIGHT ON THE WATER!

Our family had such a wonderful time at this beach house. Everything you could possibly need is there when you arrive. The house was very neat and clean and there was plenty of space for everyone. We hope to stay again next summer!

30th Birthday Celebration at the Roe Family Beach House

  • 5 of 5

I just returned from a long weekend at the beach house. We had a group of friends and family come stay to celebrate my 30th birthday and escape the winter cold of the north east. I loved the privacy that the house provided and the beach was beautiful! It felt like our own private beach.

The house was perfect for our needs. The main area was large and open, perfect for hosting large groups. A lot of time was spent on the huge wrap around porch hanging out in rocking chairs and the hammock, enjoying the view.

Overall, the house was clean, provided many towels, beach towels, sheets, blankets etc, which was convenient for us coming in from out of town. We had no issues with the house or the rental process. Everything exceeded expectations and we look forward to coming back again soon!

Perfect Old Florida Beach House

  • 5 of 5

When I was a kid, my uncle had a beach house on Cape Cod that I use to go to every year. It was rustic, made of weathered wood, no paint needed, and you never worried about breaking something because everything was well worn. You could truly relax because all that really mattered was the sand and sea. Most of the Florida coast does not have houses like that anymore. Most are prim, proper, perfect houses. There is nothing wrong with that. Thankfully, the Roe house matches the beach house of my childhood. With it's big wraparound deck and it's open feel, you can kick back and enjoy the ocean, not the interior decorating prowess. Don't get me wrong, it's not a dump, its just well worn and comfortable. I rented it to work on a writing project. And it was perfect. I hope it stays the same.

Magical Stay

  • 5 of 5

I cannot rave enough of about this home. It's exactly what a beach house should be, rustic and comfortable. We had four families there and never once felt cramped or crowded. The outdoor showers are a great idea. Every morning walking from our back pod to the front door and hearing and then seeing the gorgeous ocean was my favorite part of every day. From the almost private beach we saw dolphin, manatee, shooting stars and sea turtles. We could not have asked for a better experience. By the time we left (and we weren't even there a full week) it felt like home. (Another bonus was that if no adults were available to chaperone the kids on the beach, the kids had fun just going under the house to look at crabs and lizards.)

Comfy, casual, family style beach house

  • 5 of 5

Our family rented this house for a week. 8 adults and 1 toddler. Great location right on the beach, extra easy access for our toddler. House has ample sleeping areas and very well stocked kitchen. For those with young children the home also comes equipped with a large crib, high chair and there is a bath tub in one of the bedrooms. Air conditioning in all areas of the home that is very efficient. Lots of board games provided and a tv, however there is so much to do that if your like our family it was never on. Due to the rustic wooden wrap around deck I highly recommend easy slip on shoes/sandals for everyone. Outdoor shower is wonderful following a wet & sandy day at the beach.

Owner is absolutely fantastic to work with. I emailed her on several occasions and would hear back very promptly. We had one minor issue upon arrival which she corrected and took care of immediately. Also VERY fast to return our security deposit. I highly recommend this property for other families looking for a laid back beach vacation.

A great vacation spot

  • 5 of 5

We had a great Xmas family reunion with 14 people and this was a perfect setting! The beach was almost private, the house fit all 14 of us. The kitchen was well equipped to handle all the meals we cooked, and the dining area accommodated us all easily. My 88 year old mother and 90 year old aunt enjoyed sunning on the deck and walks on the beach. The kids went surfing, swimming and built sand castles. The drive down the driveway is magical. Escaping snow and cold at Vero Beach was heavenly! We highly recommend this home.
