This cozy efficiency cabin, affectionately called "The Isle of Ours", is located on Cayuga Lake, in the heart of the Finger Lakes. It is nestled into the side of a hill on our secluded 45 acres of woodland with a quarter mile of beach frontage. Our cottage road and beach are shared by only 3 other cottages. The view from the cabin deck, with it's canopy of pine trees, make this vacation spot very unique...you only see the lake. Most of our tenants return each year to enjoy the pristine surroundings and serenity of the 'Isle of Ours', which only leaves a few weeks open each summer season for new tenants...be sure to book early! The cabin is equipped with a full frig, stainless sink, microwave, large toaster oven, electric frying pan, hot plate and coffee machine...all you need to prepare a simple meal for two. Property features include adjacent parking, your own flat beach w/ a small dock and campfire pit. Many guests bring their kayaks, which pull up easily on the flat, gravel beach. Cabin features include a large deck with picnic table, deck chairs and charcoal grill. Your bathroom is a private, separate building with shower, toilet and sink. Favorite tenant activities include swimming, fishing, kayaking, wine tasting and hiking our private woodland trails or the nearby State Park trails. Our family-owned rental cabin is near Ithaca, Cornell University, the Finger Lakes Wine Trail and four State Parks, including Taughannock State Park, just 2 miles down the road. Trumansburg village amenities are five minutes away. Other details about your reservation and lease will follow with your booking.

Nice place on the lake with enough to make you happy
Sue was a good host and she is helpful in answering questions. Staying at her place achieved it's purpose in giving my wife and I some R & R by the lake.. The cabin is pretty close to the description and the pictures on the website, but we can add a few comments. The gravel road you take off the main road to get to the cabin is quite steep and bumpy. Four wheel drive is highly recommended. If you do not have 4 wheel drive, be prepared to park a distance above the cabin and walk your items down when you get settled and when leaving. The barbeque is small but works for just two people. As for privacy, there is a tenting space nearby as well as two cabins down the beach, so if you stay in this cabin there will be some foot and car traffic. Otherwise, a very nice place to stay at a good price. Thank you again Sue for sharing your secret hideaway and for letting us stay there!
You get woods and lake, spectacular views, kitchen and bath nicely equipped with essentials. All real antique wood cabin inside and out. A lot of heart went into making the cabin. Owners extremely pleasant and helpful. Hope to return often.
Come swim, hike and fish just a few steps away from your cabin. Explore the nearby State Parks and wineries or just relax with a good summer "read" on your private deck with nothing but pine trees and lake to look up at.
