About Bob

I am a life time Hudson valley resident, local buisiness man and enterpreneur.

Bob purchased this cottage in 2004

Why Bob chose New York

This property is in a great location, has a practical, and efficient layout that I helped to create in a 2004 renovation when I purchased it. Now that my kids are off to college, I no longer need the space full time, and this medium of rental fits my life nicely. It is my hope people from all over can enjoy this wonderful area in a warm comfortable atmosphere as I have with my family.

What makes this cottage unique

My home offers a peaceful space far out enough, yet anywhere in no time. The neighborhood is full of kind friendly people that wave and greet each other warmly, look out for one another family, and mind to themselves. The home is also set aside my own private 25 acre apple orchard with 2 ponds down below for fishing, kayaking, or just skipping rocks. A healthy walk to the top you will find majestic views of the full Shawangunk mountain range to the Catskills, and the sleepy old post card town I call home. Here in season you can also pick the best apples mother nature will provide.

Family time!!

  • 3 of 5

We were visiting our daughter for family weekend at Marist and wanted to take our two dogs with us. We've visited the area many times but always stayed in a hotel on the other side of the river but this year tried something different. The house is in a charming area in apple country and had a very cute layout. It was big enough for our family to relax and spend time together. Bob the owner is very prompt with his replies and answers all questions and concerns within a timely manner and very graciously allowed us a little later checkout as we had an event at the school that we could not take our dogs to. A very pleasant stay! Thanks Bob!!

Bob is extremely generous and kind. He is very responsive. The property description is absolutely accurate. We enjoyed our stay at the house. Our only problem was that the bed linens were unpleasant. We would recommend getting better ones. Other then that that it was great. Thank you Bob.

great time!

  • 5 of 5

Bob's house was perfect for our "friendcation" - convenient to New Paltz, super-clean, accessible to our desired activities. Bob is quick and thorough in his communication; provided clear info on the house, plus answered any questions right away. The house is nice and easily fit 4 of us, plus our rock climbing gear. Kitchen/dining area very social. Weather was great so we got to eat on the back porch, which was fabulous. Right down the road from the Gunk Haus restaurant; can't recommend the burger on the pretzel roll highly enough, plus a great selection of good beers. When we head back to the area, will definitely book this place again.

like a country cabin away from home

Clean, easy to find, convenient. Contemporary appliances, and a washer and dryer with detergent supplied. On a sleepy lane in a quiet neighborhood. Only 5 miles from the Hudson river and major grocery store and economy gas station.

A place I would call home.

  • 5 of 5

This was my first experience in renting a house for a return visit home, but this will be the method I will use for all future visits. The whole process from inquiring about availability to checking out was smooth and simple. The owner had everything setup for easy entry and provided a beautiful clean home with all the necessities.

I was fortunate to have grownup in the same area as this location and had spent many days in this exact area with friends who lived nearby. It is great to see that the area has stayed the same, with all the apple orchids and nearby mountains undisturbed. It is a beautiful area to visit, and I would highly recommend staying in this house to make the visit a wonderful experience. Thank you Bob for the great time my family had during our stay!
