Kenneth and Walene Beeler, our hosts, are the most wonderful people you can imagine. They have put so many personal touches in this darling "ranch house". The view from the east window is one of the best I have ever seen. The ranch house is conveniently located so that a day trip to many locations is easy and you can return to the comfort and beauty of your home away from home. Even though this delightful home is listed in Paris, it is actually at the base of Mt. Magazine between Magazine and Paris. We love this place and our hosts.

Wonderful house. Be warned, it is 2 miles on a rocky dirt road with turns and hills. We were on motorcycles, so it was a little nerve racking (we knew it was a dirt road when we booked). Super clean home. Fantastic views. Sat outside on the stones around the fire pit (minus the fire) to star gaze. Walene was a fantastic hostess. Loved this place. Would stay again, but would probably find some place else for the motorcycles.
We really enjoyed our stay. The horseshoes were a lot of fun, plus all the game options! The house was impeccably clean which is alway very important to me. We had everything we needed for our stay! Thank you!
We were so impressed with this house. The view from the back was absolutely breathtaking. The house was very roomy and we had plenty of space for our group. The weather cooled down and we were able to enjoy a fire Saturday night. It was perfect for our bunch of girls needing to get away. We will definitely be back.
We loved the Ranch House! It was a very nice, clean house in the country with everything we needed (not including food). The view from the kitchen window of the mountains and woods was breathtaking (we even got to see a rainbow), and watching the hummingbirds at the feeder and the cows in the pasture was a delight. We enjoyed hiking in the woods behind the house, playing with our dogs in the yard, and relaxing indoors. The kitchen was sufficiently equipped for preparing meals each day, and we were able to do some laundry during the week. Our teenage daughters each had their own room, which is always a plus! I will say that the bed in the master bedroom was not really very comfortable, though. Walene checked in on us during the week to see if we needed anything, and she came to get our trash midway through the week--she was a great hostess! She even set us up for horseback riding with her sister-in-law, which was fantastic! The house is about 2 miles down a dirt road, so our car was covered in dust the whole week, but that wasn't a big deal. We were able to swim, picnic, hike, sight-see, shop, dine out, and enjoy nature within a reasonable distance from the house. I highly recommend vacationing at the Ranch House!
We came for the butterfly festival on Mt. Magazine with our 4 granddaughters. Our owner met us with the key and a tour of the house and then left us to our adventures. The gift of coffee cake was appreciated by all. The house is a little hard to find but that adds a little adventure to it :) The house is roomy and has everything you need to have a good vacation, the girls loved the hummingbird feeder facing the dinning room window and also a view of the roadrunners, bunnies, cattle, and mountains. We will definitely stay again, thank you so much Walene!
Don't hesitate about renting this house. It is very comfortable, nicely decorated, and very private. We had everything we could possibly need during our week's stay. There is satellite TV but no internet. The owners have provided MANY games and movies for their guests to use. Having the washer and dryer for our use meant that we went home with suitcases full of clean clothes--all ready to pack away. The owners were always ready to answer any questions we had and were extremely prompt with returning calls or texts. And as if everything wasn't already perfect--we were welcomed with homemade cinnamon rolls that were to die for! We will definitely stay at the Ranch House when we return to the area. While there, we spent 3 days riding the trails on Mt. Magazine on our ATVs. Perfect location for our "base camp." Owners provided maps of the trails.
