Dig your toes in the beautiful, sugar-like sand situated in front of our luxurious beach home. Effortlessly walk down the boardwalk from the yard, and nestle yourself in a chair on the dunes to enjoy breath-taking views of the subtle waves and the ever-changing sunsets, or grab something to drink and hang out on the deck and enjoy the breathtaking views.We renovated this beautiful property in early 2015, and the home feels brand new on the inside, with completely redone kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms.

This 1650 square foot, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage is located directly on the beach, and can sleep 6 people. With sweeping views of the Gulf of Mexico, a large open deck, and steps to a brand new boardwalk that goes out to the beach, this is the perfect place to get some rest and relaxation.

Spring and Summer Rates: $2,200 / per week

Fall and Winter Rates: $1450 / per week

About Sarah R

My husband and I are serial entrepreneurs currently living in the Silicon Valley. While we have traveled all around the world, the Cape San Blas area and beaches create a sense of tranquility and seclusion, which is unlike any other place. When we're not working feverishly, we're on the beach enjoying the sugar-like sand, watching for dolphins and eagles from our porch, and dipping into warm ocean water during the summer. We also LOVE the 'off season' because it's quiet, relaxing, and there's always a good sunset to catch- it's the best time to visit the house.

Why Sarah R chose North West Florida

We recently purchased this home near Cape San Blas in late 2014 and immediately began renovating and remodeling the home, bringing all the luxuries of home, to our beach home. We fell in love with ocean, the tranquility, and the amazing sunsets years ago, while visiting my husband's family over the holidays two years ago. While we have traveled all over the world, we've found that the Cape San Blas area is one of our favorite places to be! Owning this home is our dream come true, and we look forward to sharing it with your family!

What makes this cottage unique

With the gorgeous and surreal daily sunsets, an unforgettable view of the beach and ocean, and the opportunity to see wild dolphins, countless species of birds, and the ability to comb the beach for sand dollars and shells at a moments notice, buying this home was one of the most satisfying decisions we made.

AWESOME THANKSGIVING VACATION!

Well stocked, beautiful home. Really loved the location and the beach. Cottage was recently remodeled and you can tell! Owners really put a lot of effort into the home and the furnishings. There are 2 cottages on the same property but they are not physically attached. This provides enough privacy for any family and we immensely enjoyed our stay. Would 100% recommend the management company, the owners, and this property.

Fantastic home & management!

This cottage was absolutely beautiful and well taken care of. We had some issues while we were there with the cable tv and Sarah, the property manager, had it handled in no time. First of all, there are two cottages on the property that are stand alone. I saw some reviews that complained about this but it wasn't an issue for us. It is basically like having a regular house next to you. There is a shared deck but it is only so that you can go down to the beach. We didn't feel like it was awkward or anything. The family in the home next to us had tween girls and it was fun to see them enjoying the beach as much as us old folks were. My husband and I loved this place so much that we already booked for next year. I hate seeing some of these other guests get so grumpy about their stay. We all have to remember that these homes are not hotels. They are homes and the owners are opening them up to us so that we can have a wonderful experience in something other than a hotel. We certainly did and we can't wait until next year! Book this cute cottage and you won't regret it!

Great Location - Very Relaxing and Peaceful.

We stayed at this home for a couple of weeks in January and really enjoyed being in Florida for a couple of weeks to escape the freezing cold. The house itself does share a large deck with another cottage - but it was great to meet another snow-bird couple and we didn't see them much. There are two sets of everything - so you don't really share anything with the other home.

The beach was beautiful- right out the back deck, and we enjoyed many meals in the kitchen watching the dolphins swim by and other wildlife.

Overall this was a peaceful and very relaxing trip - our only complaint is that cell service can be spotty, but the property manager alerted me of this ahead of time so we knew to expect it. We are hoping to book a month next year.

Dishonesty and extra fees

This was not a horrible place. But, to start, the advertising is created to try to show it as a stand alone home. The internet was very spotty, which meant that the phones were as well. With no cell service in the area, that makes it impossible to report. Not that you go on vacation to stay on the phone. But don't think you'll be able to work if you really need to. The instructions on how not to damage their "very expensive" flooring made us feel like children being reprimanded before even getting unpacked.

Here's the worst part. We have 2 dogs that travel with us. They are both extremely well behaved and do not mess with anything. We are clean people. So, before leaving, we cleaned the place from top to bottom. (We had already been reprimanded anyway.) After we got home, we were notified of a ridiculous fee to clean the bedding that our dog supposedly peed on multiple times. This absolutely did not happen When we tried to communicate with the manager and the owner, they just ignored us. They never provided any real explanation, and certainly no proof. To charge someone an additional fee and then completely ignore them when they try to discuss it with you is enough for me to tell anyone not to ever stay here. I'm only writing this review now because we're booking for our next trip this year and I want to save others from being disappointed.

I definitely have taken your feedback into account and wish that we could have done more during your stay and post stay to make your experiences better. We are a family run and operated company and try our best to provide our guests with the best possible experience. Regarding the phone & internet - we provide the best internet and cable that is available in the area. Unfortunately, there aren't many options, so we do the best we can! As you know, the home is in a secluded and quiet part of Florida and as such, cell service/reception is often spotty. We provide a landline that is free for guests that you were welcome to use. As far as the guest book wording - we're sorry it felt like a reprimand. We want our guests to feel welcome. The owners spent over a year renovating the home and put a lot of work and effort into it - and they just want to make sure it stays nice for all guests who stay there. To address your concerns about the fee for the dog urine - I sent your wife an e-mail and never heard back, and I never received any phone calls or e-mails, and gladly would have provided documentation of the dog urine that ruined the duvet covers. Regardless, I am sorry that you felt like we just charged you a fee for no reason. That's not how we do business and I would have definitely responded to any concerns. Again, I apologize that these experiences negatively impacted your vacation. Despite these issues -we hope that you enjoyed the beautiful beach and great Florida weather! Ok, but with issues

My biggest gripe about this place is the owners go out of there way to depict it as a stand alone cottage, but it is really two identical places that share a deck. Just looking at the pictures, you have to be a detective to know it. Look it up on Google Earth and you'll get the idea. There is no way to get privacy if you don't want to see the other occupants sitting 30' away from you. So if you are looking for solitude, you could be in for an unpleasant surprise. It should be stated up front this is a duplex. I know the houses aren't physically connected, but if you share a deck.... Anyway, it worked out ok for us because the folks next door were very nice and we got along well, but I can only imagine if you got bad neighbors, you would have an unpleasant go of it.

The interior of the house in the living/kitchen area was tastefully done. The master bedroom was very small and the bathroom in there was no larger than a closet. The box spring was too large for the frame it was on, so if you got on the end of the bed, instead of from the side, it would pop a wheelie. Not a great situation. A new bed altogether is needed in my opinion.

One of the worst things about he visit was the front yard. The grass, if you can call it that, was about a foot tall when we got there and wasn't cut all week. The reason I hesitate to call it grass is because it was essentially a big sandspur patch. Shortly after we got there, my dog began to drool and claw at his mouth. I had no idea what was wrong until I realized he had pulled sandspurs out of his feet and they got lodged in his tongue. I could not let him out without his feet being absolutely covered in them. If you don't have a dog or a young child that could wander into them, its not a big deal, but for that alone, I'd not stay here again.

The beach itself is nice. It is a bit of a haul when you have to go into town for supplies, but that's what you sign up for when you stay on San Blas.

If you are planning a reunion or going with a group and can rent both east and west sides, this place could have a lot of appeal. But if you are going solo and have pets, the lack of privacy and the unkempt front yard are show stoppers for me. I will say the property manager is very nice to deal with and our deposit was returned promptly. I don't have an axe to grind here, but these are things I would have liked to know before I rented and I feel compelled to pass them on to those considering a stay here in the future.

The owners and I have spent a lot of time thinking about the best way to present the homes and we are sorry that you felt we misrepresented it, it definitely wasn't our intent! Regarding the front yard - during the late summer and early fall, the sandspurs are just a part of the Florida landscape in this area. We've taken measures since then to try to keep them tamed down so guests and their pets aren't harmed. We're really sorry that your dog got those in his mouth -that's not what you want to deal with on vacation. In the future we'll let pet owners know that there isn't a true yard for dogs to play in. Twin pines

This place was pretty legit. Sarah r was a pretty good manager to deal with. The place shares a deck with another unit next to it. Beautiful view and it is as close to the beach u can get. Fishing was pretty good.
