Loved the location of property. Parking was really tough. Big vehicles are tight in parking structure. If you take 2 or more vehicles just be ready to pay for parking each day unless you get lucky and find a spot in the overflow parking area. You only have one reserved parking space for each room. Guy who cleans pool and does maintenance type stuff (sorry i didnt get his name) was very nice. Lady from real joy rental place was very responsive to any questions.
The property was nice good size rooms the dual masters was especially nice for dual families so u don't have to fight over the better room. Had great view and great time only downfall is the parking one spot at hotel and other across the road and people wet in my spot several times
Pros: large rooms, each with big bath, nice den, kitchen , dining area, only on 5 th floor, huge balcony right on the ocean, beds comfortable, convenient to everything PCB offers,
Cons: AC doesn't cool the bedrooms, it runs all the time- inefficient, elevators slow and not adequate for number of people hauling beach stuff, plan on walking the stairs , holes in doors not repaired ( not sure what the damage fee I paid goes for) parking is strange and difficult to figure out, no one in front office after 2 pm, had no DVD player , half of the tv controls didn't work, pool is small, noticed lots of large families staying in one unit(11-15 people ),
No one checking arm bands, public beach entrance right beside pool, overall the place just feels old and tired. Doesn't seem to be managed well. Definitely needs some updating
The balcony is lovely, oversized with comfy chairs to take in the view. It was our favorite spot in the condo!
The kitchen is tiny, it was very difficult to have more than 1-2 people in at a time. There is no pantry & limited cabinet space & the appliances are at least 12-15 years old.
Bedrooms were a nice size, a ceiling fan is needed in one of the master suites and the queen bedroom. It was so warm we purchased desk fans for comfort.
The a/c condenser is right outside the front door, it is very old, leaks and is literally falling apart. The a/c ran day/night for the entire week and never got below 74.
There is no lighting in the dining area, we used our bedroom lamps so we could see to eat dinner & play games.
The stackable washer/dryer is in bathroom attached to the twin bedroom. The washer holds 3 towels max and it take almost an hour for the dryer to dry them. Needless to say they were less than ideal for a beach condo that sleeps 10.
There were several other reviews on various trip sites that discussed Ocean Ritz, the small pool, parking nightmare and slow elevators....they were spot on-100% accurate.
The good- easy to check in, balcony was awesome (best part), beach was close and beautiful, condo was functional, The ok - beds were ok, couch was old. Condo slept 8 but had dining for 6 and living room seating for 5. Paint peeling from walls or dirty walls in all rooms, kitchen small only one person could be in there at a time. No walkin shower only tub shower combo. The bad- parking, one onsite parking pass and one offsite (only 16 spots in offsite) never could get a spot in offsite lot had to pay for parking in further site. How do you have 4 bedroom with one car parking? Parking onsite was nightmare as spots were so small and hard to get normal size car in much less our mini van. Two elevators but one was down for maintenance our whole visit (they worked on one two days then the other rest of week - no mechanical issue just re tiling walls and floor) fortunately we were only on fifth floor so could walk up and down. Master had jetted tub but didn't work, tv in each room but three of them small old tube TV version, 3 of them had to have two remotes and out of 5 TV and 8 remotes there were 5 without batteries we had to switch out until we bought some.
Most things were cosmetic and didn't ruin our vacation but could have easily. Just some paint and furniture updates would have made a big difference. Also as we talked to homeowners there many had two onsite parking spaces.
