This house sits on the corner in between the Bank and the Cottage. Also, it's catycorner across the street from the General Store.
There's a full size bed plus a bunk bed in the bedroom off the dining room.
The dining room itself has a bench that folds out into a twin bed.
The living room has a twin sleeper sofa as well as a daybed.
The master bedroom has a queen bed, plus a twin bed, with a full bath attached.
With this house being nestled in between our other homes, it makes a perfect addition to our Petersburg properties.
Recently rehabbed, it has two completely new full baths...one off the master bedroom, the other off the kitchen.
With the layout of the beds and bedrooms, this home is perfect for two families traveling together...or just one family who wants more space.
Because most of our guests are here to visit the Creation Museum, you can be confident that your neighbors will be kind and thoughtful people -- at least that's how we've found our guests to be! And what a blessing they are ;-))
We were there during the week of September 18, 2016. Our experience was great. The location was perfect for seeing the Creation Museum, Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens and the Ark Encounter. Plenty of room. The House on the Corner made us feel like we were at home. It certainly will be a place I would recommend to family and friends. I would stay here again when I am in the area. Thank you again
Great place! Very clean! Convenient to all local attractions.
For a large family Corner House was perfect! It was much cheaper than a hotel with personal space for everyone. The kitchen was well equipped so we saved money and ate decent meals. The laundry meant we could leave with clean clothes, ready for the next leg of our holiday.
We visited Kentucky specifically to visit the Creation Museum. Corner House was a perfect location for this but it was also near to the interstate so we could get to Ark Encounter easily. Both destinations were superb and needed more than a day.
The closeness to Cincinnati meant we could get tickets to a Reds game and wandering round after it gave us many more ideas for things to do in the city.
Petersburg was a small town but pretty. We attended church there (with 2 to choose from) and used the local store to purchase groceries. We strolled down to the river, seeing fireflies for the first time ever.
We would really recommend Deborah's cottages and her cleaner, Wanda, popped over to check all was OK which was a lovely touch.
Coming over from the UK, this was a perfect, pretty, and very easy, first stop on our holiday.
Many thanks Deborah and Wanda.
We were so pleased to discover that the Corner House was even better than the pictures! Every need was anticipated and provided for. The home is charmingly decorated and is very clean and tidy. It is a perfect vacation spot for our family with kids from 1-22 years old. The home provided ample seating for meals and more than enough beds for our needs. The home's proximity to the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter is very convenient. Petersburg is a quaint little town and the neighbors are quite friendly. The river is nearby and walking around town and then down to the river makes for a lovely little evening jaunt. We enjoyed our visit very much!
We stayed here with our 2 kids, my sister and her family and our parents - 10 of us total while visiting the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter. The house was very clean and tidy. In general we were quite comfortable though we were at max capacity for beds. Having two bathrooms was a big plus! The house is laid out nicely and stocked with the basics. It's kid friendly and has some games and puzzles that helped keep the kids entertained. Petersburg is quite charming, there is a playground and community center just as block from the house. The Petersburg Pantry is a short walk from the house and has a good selection of the basic necessities as well as a deli case. Or you can get fresh made pizzas or sandwiches if you don't feel like cooking. The location is really convenient to the airport, Cincinnati attractions, Creation Museum and the Ark. Really a great value for the price and much more comfortable than a hotel. We'll definitely stay here if we're back in the area again.
We loved the House on the Corner! The drive into the town, the layout of the house, and the very charming town of Petersburg were an added joy to our family vacation that we had not even anticipated. Our family of eight fit quite nicely. We loved our walks around the community, conversations with the local residents, and trips down to the Ohio River at sunset. The location was EXTREMELY convenient to the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter as well as the grocery store and other local fun. On our way out of town, we stopped by the historic cemetary and wished we could have stayed longer. The property was well-maintained, clean, and well-stocked (though I recommend bringing a stock pot if you'll need one unless is installed before your visit). Deborah provided wonderful information on the house, ammenities of the town, and local history of the town. She is also an excellent and timely communicator through email. It was a wonderful stay and many family memories were made. Thanks Deborah!
This house is 3 blocks from Ohio River access.
The Creation Museum is about 5 miles away, Perfect North Slopes in Indiana about 15 miles away, and downtown Cincinnati about 25 miles away.
