We promise it will be a special time for you and your family.
We stayed at the log cabin for a weekend. It is located right at Alpine Lake, and the view was undeniably breathtaking. We spent hours and hours just admiring the spectacular view. From sunrise to sunset, the water was glistening in the sunlight. We saw the color of water changes as the sun moves from East to West. We were able to see the lake from anywhere in the cabin: in the kitchen while cooking, on the deck while in hot cedar bath, by the fire pit while roasting marshmallows, and from the loft area looking down the living room… and the lake. That was an extraordinary experience and amazing treat for us.
This is a great place for family bonding. It is secluded from outside world, and it created time for us to cherish each other. There were many complimentary accommodations (e.g. family-friendly board games, DVD collections, massage chair which kids loved so much, etc.) to keep us entertained during our stay. We also packed lunch to hike up the trail to top of the ski slope. We had a lunch there in a little gazebo with the best lake view.
It was a great weekend getaway for our family. We will come back!
We were looking to stay in the Deep Creek MD area, and found this property. I speak for all who went in saying that this was an excellent choice. The cabin is located in a small resort area surrounding a lake. There are a few short trails that travel along the lake, and the scenery was very nice. The cabin itself was wonderful, especially for the price of rental. It was roomy, clean, fully functional, and tastefully decorated. You can tell the owners put a lot of time and effort into making this an exceptional home. The only downside were the slippery roads on the way out due to snowfall. Wish we could have stayed longer!
Read all the good reviews on this property, but you have to stay there to truly appreciate it's beauty. This is a small, but lovely resort area outside of Deep Creek MD. Much to our surprise there are many outstanding homes. The lake is quaint, and since we saw it in the winter, snow covered it gleamed. I can only imagine it's the beauty in the other seasons. The house, what can you say. Breath taking the moment you arrive. The owners are Japanese and the soothing simplicity of the culture shows. Subtle décor and outstanding conveniences make it just like your own home. The devil is in the detail, and it surely shows in this property. We had a fabulous stay with our Corgi-Max, and even though it was during a winter storm, I couldn't have been happier than being here at that time. Love to come back in better weather and enjoy the cedar hot tub and the many hiking trails around the lake. Kudos to Nagai's for this wonderland of a home.....
What a wonderful Thanksgiving get away we all had at this beautiful lake house !
House was spotless, view is beautiful, furnishings are perfect. Comfy beds, comforters and pillows. We had a cozy fire going as we watched a foot of snow come down. Owners have spared no expense ( bidet, cedar hot tub, massage chair in master bedroom, large TV, security cameras, )
the list goes on....and on !
We had a wonderful time staying at Lakefront! We own property at Alpine Lake and always stay at the lodge. It was the first time my husband and I actually were able to relax. I had never vacationed at a rental before and I was hesitant wondering how clean it was going to be. The rental was VERY clean! The owners were fantastic about responding to emails prior and during our stay. A couple of things occurred that were not in their control like losing power and a bear destroying the trash bin. During the power outage they stayed in close communication with us and contacted the power company. Their house had flashlights in every room that illuminated when the power went off and they also had a large lantern. When a bear visited us and destroyed the trash bin, the owners immediately called the house cleaners to clean it up. We also were so appreciative that we could bring our Australian Shepherd with us. We had the BEST time hiking the trails, fishing, roasting marshmallows every evening and sitting on their beautiful deck enjoying the lake view. The beds were so comfortable and there was enough space and privacy that our families didn't feel like we were falling over each other. We have so many wonderful memories from our trip. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us! We will visit again!
We have been renting upscale homes at St George Island Fla and the Outerbanks for over 25 years. We wanted to do something different as we were visiting my brother in law in the Pittsburgh area and we wanted to include him. Since my husband has golfed at Alpine Lake a number of times we decided to google rental homes there. This is the first time we have rented through an owner and not a real estate company so we were a bit hesitant. WOW! The owners are tremendously responsive, and the house is equal to or better than any house we have rented at OBX or SGI. Well equipped, many amenities, perfect setting ( including a ra coon who made a nightly visit to the birdfeeder, he was a real ham!)We brought our Wheaten Terrier mix and our brother in laws Labrador. The walking trails are fabulous and the dogs had a grand time as well. We were only there for 3 days but are planning a trip for a week soon. We live in Fl but lived in Charleston WV for 4 years a while ago. We had not heard of Alpine Lake then. My husbands brother discovered it on a quest for new golf courses to try. We are sold on both the area and this fabulous home. An excellent value, I can't imagine anyone who wouldn't enjoy this home and the surroundings.
