Perfect Beach Vacation House!

  • 5 of 5

We hesitate to advertise such a wonderful beach house. We'd like to keep this place secret and all to ourselves. But, to be fair, we have to say THIS PLACE IS WONDERFUL!! The house is beautiful, immaculate, stocked with all your basic needs and right on a lovely beach. We used the propane fireplace a lot---so much easier than starting a wood fire. The beds were great. We will be back to the Seascair ASAP!

Seascair was wonderful.

Has everything you need and nothing you don't. The kayaking was great. The beach is wonderful. Spent lots of time there playing with dogs, building sand castles and enjoying camp fires.

The house is well equipped and provisioned. Most of the appliances and fixtures are very modern. Love the big frig and washer/dryer stack.

The house was clean and inviting when we arrived.

The cable and Wi-Fi was good enough.

We had a couple of overnight visitors and they enjoyed the property too.

Suggestion - Mats or rugs on the inside of the two main entry doors would be helpful to minimize the sand entering the house .

On a rainy day we visited both Courtney's and Buzzy's. The owner of Buzzy's was delightful and offered several recommendations for other activities during our stay. We visited Point Lookout park but were disappointed with it. Not worth the price of admission.

The property managers were attentive and stopped by and fixed a slow drain in the master bath.

The neighbors were all very friendly.

We would gladly recommend this site to anyone and will definitely consider another stay.

Beautiful and peaceful location

  • 5 of 5

What a relaxing week at Seascair. The house is lovely and the location couldn't be better. It's very quiet and peaceful, the only sounds you hear are the waves and the birds. The views from the house and deck couldn't be better. We saw osprey, bald eagles, a swan, and lots of crabs. Great spot for nature lovers. We will definitely be back!

SEASCAIR: Small piece of heaven, all that you could want and nothing you don't :)

  • 5 of 5

Do you know how when you take a leap of faith on something and you get rewarded for it? This was our family's experience with Seascair. On a scale of 1 to 10, we were hoping for a tops of 8, but what we found was off the chart. Even before our visit, Peggy and friends reached out via email to make sure any questions were answered and send a welcome letter that basically did just that. The HomeAway photos of the property do not even do justice to how lovely the beach backyard is and how terrific the view is both in daytime and at night. To say any more about the outdoors would be *spoiler alert* worthy! Inside, all the comforts of home amenity-wise, perfect for couples or small families. When friends or family would call or video during the stay, they would say that it looked and sounded like heaven, with the waves, sun and stars, and I'd say, yes, plus all that you want and nothing that you don't. Special thanks to Peggy and all who helped make the stay at Seascair the very best end of summer getaway!

We had a WONDERFUL stay at this beautiful house. It had everything we need to have a great get-away!! The view over the bay was perfect. On a calm day I was able to kayak on the bay and down the creek back to a small peaceful lake. Based on past reviews we went to Courtney's for dinner, we love finding locally owned places, not chain restaurants that we can have anywhere. This fit the bill perfectly ... Very, very good service and delicious food. We took a day trip Solomon Island and just wandered around, PAX Naval museum and Point Lookout. The kids even enjoyed biking around the area. We were able to catch crabs in the creek. We even took a tube and rode the "lazy rizer" on the creek and swam in the bay. The whole area was not "touristy" which we LOVED!!!

The only thing I would mention was we arrived pretty late and when we were pulling up the drive we were slightly confused by the cars parked in the "garage/appt" directly behind the house. We were afraid someone else was staying in our house, or that we were at the wrong location. But the house was dark so we went ahead and figured out that the back was considered a separate property. But other than the initial confusion it was no problem at all. We still felt that we had complete privacy and when we did run into the neighbor as we were leaving one afternoon they we were so friendly and helpful. After being asked they offered more suggestions for local places. We can't wait to come back next year!!!
