Julie Hand purchased this house in 2004
We call it our little slice of heaven and think you will feel the same way when you visit.
We spend a lot of time on our deck, enjoying the views and gathering with family and friends. We love the quiet and peace of our location while taking advantage of the close proximity we have to shopping, dining and all that Cape Cod offers.
We were looking to find a place with a flexible schedule because my son was getting married on a Saturday night in Mashpee. Julie was just outstanding to work with and allowed us to stay till Monday so we didn't have to pack up on Sunday morning and drive home. We got so much more than we could have asked for with this home! It was so nice spending time with my children together ( it doesn't happen often enough) in such a quiet beautiful place. We spent so much time on the porch enjoying the views, spending time with family members, and kayaking in the pond. The hammock was the icing on the cake! We can't thank Julie enough for helping us make this happen!!
We stayed for a week in August, and it was fantastic! The house is both on the water and extremely private which worked out well. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck. Also, launching a canoe or kayak from the back yard is very easy, we did that a lot. There's even a beach steps away from the house, for wading or letting the younger ones find seashells and discover ocean life.
We cooked most of our meals in the kitchen or on the gas grill, which meant we needed a lot of groceries. The house is close to town and it's a quick drive to the store for any last minute items.
The house itself was clean and well cared for, everything we needed was supplied, and we found the owners very gracious. We'd definitely book this house again.
My friends and I stayed in this house for a long weekend and it was more than I could have expected. From the very beginning, Julie is more than accommodating, got back to me right away and made sure the house would be everything we were looking for. She took the time to answer all of my questions, and was always available. The pictures do not do this house justice. The deck was huge and had great views of the water. The beach was right in our backyard and the house had plenty of room for everyone to stay and feel comfortable! The house was fully equipped with everything you would need (and then some!) It was clean and cozy. It was the perfect location in Falmouth. I can't wait to come back and stay longer!! Thank you Julie!
We spent the July 4th long weekend here, along with family visiting from Ireland. It was the perfect spot for everyone, and the view from the wrap-around deck is simply amazing at any time of the day. The house is situated in a lovely quiet neighbourhood street, with private parking, and just steps from the calm water of Great Pond. The house is very comfortable and is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The Vineyard ferry is a 10 minute drive away, and the location makes it easy to explore other areas of Cape Cod and all that it offers. We will definitely be back and would not hesitate to recommend it.
This is a great house, with water views to die for. Perfect for families and couples alike. It's not only private but quiet as well. Minutes from wonderful shopping and dining. Lots of area attractions for all ages. I'm booking again this summer.
We live in the Chicago area but love the ocean so we decided to plan a trip to Cape Cod and selected Falmouth for its easy ferry access to Martha's Vineyard & Nantucket and the great restaurants, beaches and shopping that some of our friends had enjoyed. We selected this home really just because it was in Falmouth but what a pleasant surprise when we arrived. The house is very comfortable and surprisingly private. We did explore a few Outer Cape, National Seashore beaches (The Beachcomber at Cahoons Hollow and Race Point) early in our week but then happily settled in for some necessary relaxing time at the house and that was the most enjoyable part of our week. The kids could play on the beach (within sight) and we could enjoy the views from the elevated wrap-around deck. The whole family had a great time, we thoroughly enjoyed our time in Falmouth and the kids are already planning a return trip. Don't miss Smitty's Ice Cream (fun even when there's a line) and we loved dinner
at JR Brody's (we walked up twice)
Amazing location with lots of privacy. Take a five minute drive to the grocery store, retail shopping and a movie cinema. Another five minutes brings you to beaches, Island Queen Ferry playgrounds and more shopping. Main Street offers great restaurants, ice cream & candy stores and boutique shopping. Take a scenic ride along Shore Drive to more beaches and right to Woods Hole where the Steamship Authority Ferry is located. Visit Bumper the Seal at the free Woods Hole Aquarium and watch her daily show. The Island Queen and Steamship Authority Ferry's are about 45 minute rides to Martha's Vineyard. Head down Route 28 for a 15 minute ride to outdoor dining and shopping at Mashpee Commons. Hyannis is a 25 minute ride and has an indoor mall and offers Ferry Service to Nantucket. Great day trips about an 1- 1 1/2 hour car ride to see the Cape Code National Seashore beaches all the way to Provincetown. So many things to do and places to go book your vacation at our home and you will have an amazing time.
