We are a group of people dedicated to improving the quality of life on Earth. This means we have supported some environmental conservation programs in the Rocky Mountains such as the Yellowstone-to-Yukon initiative. These efforts led us to discover the beauty and grandeur of the Tetons. Building this home has allowed us the opportunity to support these local programs as well as invest in one of the most spectacular places on Earth.
The home is a beautiful log cabin style with awesome views of the Tetons. The property is well landscaped and has various wildflowers growing. The house is very spacious and in a private setting. The kitchen is very large and the dining room has plenty of space for a large family. The home was well maintained but not as clean I would like. I am sure removing all the dust from that much wood is difficult. We did have some issues with showering in this home. There are 2 showers upstairs, one was labeled with a sign stating one shower per hour due to a leak and the other shower was so small that I couldn't even shower in it without hitting the walls of the shower (I'm 5'0" and 112lbs). It is very impractical to have a family of 6 share one shower or expect people to only take 1 shower per hour. The house also has family pictures throughout the home, which made me feel very odd about being in the home. The views however were top notch! We enjoyed sitting on the deck every evening staring off to the mountains. The primary purpose of this trip was to visit Grand Teton National Park, which was a little bit of a drive (approximately 45 minutes), the view on the drive was lovely. There is a nearby town of Driggs, ID that had nice grocery store and dining out options. I
Grand house!! Excellent views!!! I would have given it Five starts had the upkeep of the house been at par with the Grand house.
We could see the Sunrise and Sunset without stepping out of the house.
It is close enough for Grand Teton National Park. Yellowstone Park is almost two hours away. We visited Yellowstone on alternate days.
This house was amazing. The views were awesome. It's in a really quite neighborhood so you could really enjoy sitting outside. It's really a huge house. It was just the two of us so it was a little bigger than we needed. And while it's close to jackson through the pass, took about an hour because of construction after a few days the drive got old. But if your looking to be close to Victor or driggs, it's perfect. Overall we loved the house! It would be great for a large family or a few couples. For us we ended up spending more time in GTNP and jackson so we didn't really get to enjoy the house as much as we wanted to. But if your looking to stay on that side of the Tetons it's an awesome house and we would highly recommend it. I still wish I could be there waking up to that amazing view right out the master window!
House was beautiful and above average in quality of construction. The furnishings were also above average quality, except for 1 Wal-mart quality dresser in the master bedroom which fell apart if you opened a drawer. The amenities however left a lot to be desired. There was not a complete set of pots and pans, only 2 lids that didn't fit, an almost 2 slice toaster for a home that sleeps eight is ridiculous. No can opener, the barbecue was totally inoperable as the burners were all rusted out and very dangerous as a result. The 1 TV was only 32", no ice maker in the fridge and a small microwave. The fire place in master was "out of order" apparently for months, The amenities simply did not match the house. Great views though!
This home was outstanding. Views of the Tetons unbelievable. The whole view out the back of this rental is simply amazing. So peaceful and serene with the Tetons in the background. Had everything we needed, no problems at all. Close enough to Driggs to get there quickly. VERY comfortable!
