Perfectly Situated, Modern, Cozy and Clean Apt, Close To The Beach & Shops

Open, well-lit apartment (40m2) in La Croix Valmer, a small village on the Mediterranean (Cote d'Azur), about 15 minutes west of St. Tropez; 1.5 hours to Nice and Marseille. Full kitchen and bathroom, with modern appliances, including brand new washing machine (June 2018). Bedroom and pull-out couch in living room, sleeps 4 comfortably. Bed is Queen size (160 cm) (purchased June 2016). Couch is modern (purchased June 2016) and is very comfortable to sleep in. Modern LCD TV with cable recently installed (June 2016). The apartment has 2 balconies, both with views of the Mediterranean, the village and the coastal mountains. Apartment is right in the village of La Croix Valmer, with restaurants, cafes, bars and shops all steps away, no need to get in your car. A stunning 25 minute walk through vineyards brings you to one of France's nicest sandy beaches (Plage du Debarquement), with Gigaro beach, Escalet beach, and world famous Pamplonne beach and other beautiful sandy beaches a short drive away. The three famous "Iles D'Or" (Port-Cros, Porquerolles and Levant) can be seen from the apartment balcony, and the ferry to visit them only a short drive away. There are several natural hiking trails along the coast (from Gigaro and Escalet) or into the coastal mountains nearby (from La Garde Freinet or Grimaud), the trailheads are an easy short drive away. Several typical Provencal "perched" villages are nearby, including Gassin, La Garde Freinet, Grimaud, Bormes les Mimosas and Ramatuelle. For a night out, St Tropez is a 15 minute drive away. Local vineyards offer wine-tasting tours, and Domaine de La Croix, the closest one (makes fantastic rose), is a short walk away. The municipal swimming pool is also a short walk away. The apartment comes with parking spot, right beside the building, on the apartment property. This apartment consistently get 5 star ratings, and the owner will go out of his way to help plan your trip and excursions. Note that there is no WI-FI in the apartment. Please also note that the apartment does not have air conditioning, however there is a large standing fan.

This property has everything you need for a relaxing holiday in the South of France. You can walk to the beach in around 25 minutes, it is an amazing walk through vineyards. Our apartment is in a quiet spot in the village, so you can walk to the bakery, the market or a dozen restaurants, in just a few steps. You can sit on our balcony and stare at the Mediterranean and the vineyards, or you can hop in the car and drive to St Tropez or typical hilltop Provencal villages like Gassin or Ramaturelle in 10 minutes. The kitchen is new and spacious, and the apartment is cozy and well-lit, and it is quiet. There are dozens of coastal and mountain hiking trails all within a 10 minute drive away. And we have a parking spot!

There is no wifi at our apartment. We have a standing fan, provides good air circulation. When using the shower, please ensure that the shower curtain is fully closed and that the shower mat is placed on the floor, flush against the bathroom door and side of the shower. When using the pull-out/clic clac, please ensure to place the mattress protector over the surface of the couch, in addition to using the sheets etc.

Great way to enjoy the Cote D'Azur without the noise

A bright, well-equipped apartment in a very good location which allows you go to the beach or hike in the hills without feeling swamped by the crowds. We visited for a week at a very busy time of year (late-July) and really appreciated returning each day to a quiet apartment in what seemed to be a well-maintained block. The weather was, if anything, a little too warm, but the apartment benefits from having a balcony and large sliding doors at both the front and back. It's got everything you need, including a good kitchen/dining area, a nice shower and a generally up-and-together feel. Our teenaged kids slept on the futon-type bed in the living room and found it perfectly comfortable, especially after a day spent swimming and sunning themselves. We particularly liked being able to walk two minutes down the hill in the morning to the bustling boulangerie and a similar distance in the evening to a choice of good restaurants (the Patio is a family-run place which is the closest and friendliest). We had a hire car and parking in the apartment's own space was never a problem, but we largely found ourselves walking or using the very good, very frequent and free shuttle bus service to the numerous beaches about ten minutes' from Croix Valmer. The tourist information office was surprisingly helpful. We'd hoped to explore the various little beaches on the sparsely-populated headland beyond Gigaro, but were prevented by forest fires. Maybe next time?

Endroit idéal pour explorer le sud de la France

L'appartement est idéalement situé à La Croix-Valmer. Il est propre, moderne, éclairé, très bien équipé et avec vue de la Méditerranée. Notre famille de deux adultes et deux enfants (11ans et 8 ans) étions très bien installés. La plage du Débarquement est accessible à pied, et la marche pour s'y rendre est pittoresque, à travers des vignobles et un terrain boisé. La boulangerie, le boucher, l'épicerie, les restaurants, la piscine municipale ne sont qu'à quelques centaines de mètres de distance. Durant notre séjour de deux semaines, nous avons visité Ramatuelle, plage de l'Escalet, Grimaud, plage de Gigaro, Cavalaire-sur-Mer, Gassin, tous à 30 minutes de route ou moins. Nous avons aussi visité Saint-Tropez et passé une nuit à Nice. Nous avons vécu des vacances mémorables à La Croix-Valmer!

Aptm in super Lage,perfekte Preis/Leistung

Wir haben 1 super Woche in diesem sehr praktisch und geschmackvoll eingerichtetem Appartmt verbracht. Lage ist perfekt,da sich Einkaufsgelegenheiten als auch Restaurants vor Ort in Laufweite von nur wenigen min.befinden.Gleichzeitig liegt d Apptmt etwas zurückversetzt und damit am Abend sehr ruhig.Wir haben auch d 2 Balkone mit sehr schöner Sicht -v. a. bei nicht optimalem Strandwetter, sehr geschätzt.Herauszuheben ist auf jeden Fall der äusserst nette Vermieter,der -obwohl nicht vor Ort- gefühlt immer parat ist und bereits im Vorfeld wertvolle Tips gab.So haben wir in wunderschöner Umgebung,ca 40 min v St Tropez entfernt,mit mehreren Strandoptionen vor Ort als auch weiteren Restaurant Möglichkeiten entlang d Strände,äusserst erholsame Tage verbracht und fühlten uns fast wie bei Freunden zuhause! ..ubd das bei sehr gutem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis!Ein Grund mehr zum Wiederkommen!

Un appartamento confortevole, silenzioso, ben equipaggiato e perfettamente posizionato nel cuore di una delle Penisole più belle del mondo. Abbiamo passato una settimana tra passeggiate a Cap Taillat, riposo e gite nell'interno. E nonostante fosse l'ultima settimana d'inverno siamo tornati belli coloriti! Un rapporto qualità/prezzo eccellente: altamente consigliato.

Wonderful stay in the South

We spent 2 wonderful weeks in the South of France. The apartment is very centrally located, with all the necessary shops such as bakers, butchers and supermarkets within short walking distance. The apartment is very clean, with more than enough towels and sheets available. The kitchen is well equipped and you can cook all your meals yourself (the apartment has a large refrigerator), or go out to eat in the village in one of the many restaurants or shop at the “Traiteurs” nearby.

Particularly useful was the washing machine, and the ability to dry your clothes on one of the balconies. We could regularly wash our bath towels and thus did not have to arrive with suitcases overflowing.

There are two balconies, one has the morning sun, and on the other you can enjoy the sunset, pleasantly relaxing with a glass of wine. The apartment keys were handed over without problems on the spot and on time. You can communicate in English or French with the fluently bilingual owner Darrin, and he was always concerned with our well-being and was readily available for any questions that we had.

The apartment includes a private parking spot behind the apartment, which on market days and during the week is particularly convenient. Gigaro beach is reachable in ten minutes on the free navette (shuttle), so there is no need to pay parking fees at the beach. The bus stop can be reached on foot in less than 5 minutes.

In short, we enjoyed our stay. It was a very, very relaxing holiday and we would definitely recommend this apartment to the vacation hungry who seek rest and relaxation in the South of France.

Paradise Found

This is a wonderfully equipped and positioned apartment in a charming but lively French village. We parked our car in the apartment owned car park and didn't touch it again for a whole week. We hired bikes and accessed all the gems of the coastline by cycling ,walking and ferries. This coastline is one of the Cote D'Azur hidden secrets. Stunning nature reserves make it quiet and simply breath-taking in terms of Caribbean style beaches and clear water. But if you want a bit of action as we did during our stay, St Tropez is a short ride away. But far enough away to keep the prices very reasonable. A delightful ferry ride from nearby Cavalaire takes you to the islands of Les lles D'Ors where no cars are allowed .This is an extraordinarily beautiful trio of islands where you can bike or walk to a deserted beach and bathe in crystal clear waters.

The apartment has been recently decorated both inside and out and is furnished to high modern standards. It has a family size fridge and washing machine, both of which came in very useful. It has bedding and towels included as well as tea towels for washing up. It has a modern shower room and 2 balconies, one for breakfast, one to watch the sun go down. It is perfectly positioned just a short 2 minute walk from the main village so really close to get the croissants ,but just far enough away to be very quiet. The village also has a public open air swimming pool which is built to a very high standard. It also has lovely restaurants and bars to suit all budgets including a great take away pizzeria and paella restaurant .It also has a cycle hire shop where the bikes are of a good standard and cost 45 euros for the week! The village sits above the coast surrounded by vineyards and is a 10 minute ride down to local beaches ,all downhill. The ice cold rose ,served on Gigaro beach provides the fuel to get you back to the village!.A free bus operates from June down to the beaches and gets you back again.

Its a cyclers and walkers paradise but great for a family in a car because the roads are much less busy on this part of the coastline.

The owner is Canadian and speaks English and French so it was very easy to communicate and get questions answered. The customer service was significantly better than the experience we have had before in France.

We have booked again for next year so would appreciate you not telling anyone about this place as we would like to go back there every year for a very long time .Brian and Laurie

Our apartment is nestled between the mountains and the sea. There are many hiking/walking trails nearby, whether into the coastal mountains or along the coast, in fact you can walk to the beach (Plage du Debarquement) in less then 30 minutes from our apartment, or alternatively, drive there in 3 minutes. This area has the nicest, fine white sand beaches on the French Mediterranean (Gigaro, Pamplonne), all a short drive away. Wineries offering wine-tasting are everywhere, including in the village of La Croix Valmer itself. You can't miss the Sunday Market in La Croix Valmer, a typical Provencal market. Ferries to St Tropez and Les Iles D'Or are closeby. If you want to go boating, fishing, jet-skiing or any other type of water activity, these can all be found in La Croix Valmer or neighbouring village Cavalaire sur Mer. St Tropez, a world class destination on many levels (shopping, history, scenery, nightlife) is only 15 minutes away. Make sure you visit one of the historic Provencal villages nearby, such as Gassin, Ramatuelle, Grimaud, or La Garde Freinet. There are excellent hiking opportunities in all these villages as well as great restaurants and markets.
