The cabin was so inviting . There was a beautiful Christmas tree and a fire going to welcome us.

  • 5 of 5

The cabin has a wonderful kitchen and a beautiful wood dining table that was perfect for meals and board games. We enjoyed the hot tub! My favorite part was being so close to the trail at the Nisqually river where we went snow shoeing and cross country skiing. Also we went up to paradise two times to ski and the truly enjoyed the winter wonderland. we hope to come again next year. It was spectacular scenery and a beautiful home.

Beautiful Cabin at the Doorway to Mt. Rainier

  • 5 of 5

Christy's cabin checked all the boxes for us for my girlfriend's birthday weekend. We were blown away by how beautiful the place was.

I'm just going to list everything we loved, and I'm sure I'll be forgetting several things we appreciated:

-Beautiful lumber construction

-Literally steps from the entrance to Mt. Rainier Nat'l Park

-Right on the river (highly recommend a walk along the trail)

-huge yard with fire and horseshoe pits, barbecue grill, yard games

-the best hot tub I've been in, could easily have fit 6-7 adults

-gorgeous wrap-around porch

-modern kitchen with everything you could need

-two big master bedrooms with master bedroom and jacuzzi tub

-another room with bunks and at least 4 pull-out couches

-enormous dining table that fits at least 12

-fireplace and electric heater to get cozy

-tv and all that modern jazz

-games and books for a rainy day

-impeccably clean

-seamless check-in and directions couldn't have been clearer

-short drive to town for groceries, beverages, etc

Honestly could not have asked for more. Thank you so much, Buchanan's. What a beautiful second home, thank you for sharing with us!

-Brian and Daniela

great place!

  • 4 of 5

Shared with two other families, and never felt squished. Great indoor and outdoor games for the kids, great hot tub for the grown ups after a day of hiking. Easy booking, very friendly host. Even was greeted by three deer in the morning.

Right at the park entrance, super easy to visit, and hike then head back to the house to relax.

Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful vacation home

  • 5 of 5

My 6 girlfriends and I spent four days at this beautiful location just a few hundred yards from Mt. Rainier's park gates. The house is spacious and welcoming. The kitchen has modern appliances and plenty of space for a large group. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms were sufficient for our group, plus the sofas in the living space can be used as comfortable beds. Only one of the bathrooms has a shower, while the other one has a nice tub. Something to keep in mind if several guests need to get ready quickly, as in our case! The house was very clean, the kitchen well stocked with plates, glasses, etc. and linens and towels were plenty. The huttub is under the A-frame shelter, which makes it a great place to hang out. We liked this property and we highly recommend it. The owner is very attentive and she obviously care about her property and her guests.
