Great location, awesome condo!

We loved our stay at unit 5! We couldn't have been more thrilled with the location! It was so easy to get everywhere and the beach was steps away. Condo had everything we needed. Mel was so easy to work with and we extended our stay!

Beach living at its finest!!

Booked a trip at the last minute for my boyfriend's 30th birthday. His only requirement was a property on the beach-this unit was PERFECT!! Communication with the owner was smooth, check in was easy and the unit was everything we could have asked for and more. Steps from the (warm!) water, literally right next to a tiki bar, trolley stop directly in front of the property and furnished with everything needed for an amazing getaway. We've been telling everyone we know about how wonderful our stay was and cannot wait to return!!

Right on the beach, beautiful sunsets!

My family had a wonderful time being right on the beach. The condo was very neatly kept, with up to date appliances and fully stocked. We truly did not need to bring anything other than the groceries. We were able to enjoy the gorgeous sunsets right from our condo balcony, along with the sights and sounds of the beach. Amazing!!! The weather was a bit rough due to a storm brewing in the gulf, but we were still able to enjoy the shoreline and the waves. Access to the trolley is literally across the street and couldn't be more convenient. The only unfavorable experience was on the day of arrival. I only found out the morning of the location address which makes planning in advance a little difficult. Once we arrived to the office it was after hours so the office was closed with no key or instructions left behind for us. We finally got a hold of some one after several calls to the emergency phone line and he was apologetic and got us squared away shortly after. From then on everything went well, all was forgotten and we enjoyed our vacation!

Some Things to Know

This was a nice place. You will only walk half a flight of stairs before getting to the beach. The lounge chairs were always available and were located right behind the sand so you could easily move them onto the beach.

This location is also close to Bridge St., which is a busy shopping and restaurant area. This made it convenient to walk to restaurants.

However, I do have a few observations worth noting:

1. It is next to a busy bar and restaurant, so your sunsets will not be as tranquil as they would be at other locations.

2. The busy main drag of Gulf Dr. is right outside your bedroom window, so I would suggest using a white noise app on your phone as we did to drown out any noises so you can sleep.

3. If you are not careful, the glass shower door can come off in your hands. So open and close with care.

4. The room is part of a building with outside hallways, so you don’t exactly have a private balcony.

5. The pictures can be a little deceiving as the living/eating area and kitchen are quite small. The three extra bar stools that did not fit at the bar also created less room. There is also a large armoire that dominates the bedroom, providing little room to put your suitcase. I had to put mine practically in front of the bedroom door and we just walked around it.

For the price, this place is decent. But be aware of the location and the other things mentioned above before you make your final choice.
