This home has it all!
The house is very spacious with lots of living room. The pool is right off the back of the house, enclosed, and it is a large pool and we swam several times every day. The pool is kept up and monitored, and the canal that leads to the ocean is just behind the pool. There is one kayak at the house; we would have wished for 2-3 more so that we could go out into the canal and explore. Lacking a boat, you can't do much with the canal or the ocean just beyond it. New Port Richey isn't a tourist area, and there really isn't an adequate beach close to the property. However, we found Honeymoon Beach State Park about 25 minutes away and it was glorious! We went there two days. We went swimming with the Manatees about an hour north of the house and it was fantastic. Tarpon Springs is close and has lots of touristy things. So we had lots of variety -- but you had to have a car to get to nearly everything. We had no maintenance problems at all with the house. The kitchen is well stocked, easy to use, nice eating area, great master bedroom suite. All three bedrooms and baths are quite nice. We had a lovely, relaxing week and I would recommend it to others. The immediate neighborhood is of well-maintained homes and very quiet.
We just returned from a week at this wonderful property! From the location, to the amenities, to the massive pool- this house provided all the comforts of home, and then-some! It was the perfect family getaway for us. The owners were incredibly accommodating and responsive. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a fun, family getaway.
The owner (not local) was VERY accommodating in a last minute rental of this property. He doesn't take credit card. You have to pay with a check.
The property was in pretty rough shape when I arrived. I informed the owner and he offered to have a professional come in and clean it on our 2nd and 3rd days of a week long stay. I actually moved out and into another house after the first night.
The furniture is worn and stained and had hair and other small unidentified debris on it. (it could be that the house had recently been exterminated and just had some left over exoskeletons around?) There was a large section (estimated 2 foot by 5 foot) of the floor in the hallway that was buckled up with blue tape outlining it. There was moisture in the wood in front of the dishwasher that may have been the source of the funky smell in the house. The bed covers were dirty with what appeared to be blood stains. And there were dirty dishes as well as what appeared to be maybe dead bug debris in the cupboards.
I believe the owner honestly didn't know his place was as I found it. I hope he has taken some effort to fix some of these issues.
It could be a very nice rental if these issues were addressed.
We rented this Gorgeous home for the week of Thanksgiving 2014. The pictures do not do the house justice. Although the house was gorgeous we still felt right at home and quite comfortable. We have family in the area and were able to have all 15 people over for Thanksgiving dinner with plenty of room to spare. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything we needed. The pool was huge and we used the heater for a nice 80 degrees. I would highly recommend this home to others and we will DEFINETLY be back!!! Both Paul and his Dad who lives close by we're friendly and very helpful with all of our needs. Thank you so much for a very memorable week!!
We have rented this place two years in a row and plan to return in 2013. Love the location...dead end street so no traffic. Sat around pool most of the time and listened to the birds sing. Took the pontoon boat out to the "Sandbar". The place is easy to keep up and very nicely decorated. The pool is phenomenal in size and cleanliness and "John" is very attentive to the tenants needs. Would very much recommend.
A lovely property, very clean and tidy throughout, with a huge pool and lovely dock at the back. We had a great week and would recommend this property to others. The description was accurate and the small issues we had were sorted out very promptly. Restaurants were a little further away than we'd expected, but we would still recommend this property. Also the owner very kindly provided a crib and high chair for our stay, so would recommend for families with young children
