This is a family friendly house. This is not a party house. We respect our neighbors and require your compliance. Thanks for your understanding.
We came first time to Florida in 2011. We loved it so much that we keep coming back since that time with our children and friends. Willing to share more what we consider as the place where we want to live, we bought that house to rent it to additonal visitors and we hope they will love this place as much as we do.
Tom Stanchak purchased this house in 2014
This property is unique. It is a single family home, with three bedrooms and three bathrooms, a wonderful kitchen and eating room directly facing the water, as well as an extra large living room and sunroom. The yard in front of the house is gorgeous and there is place for you to grill and relax while enjoying the dolphins and manatees swimming a few feet away of you.
- single family house
- fully newly renovated
- dolphins and manatees in front of you
- quiet and safe area
- nice neighborhood
- close to downtown St Pete
Our family of 6 enjoyed the Dolphin House very much. The home is in a quiet neighborhood, has wonderful bay views and has been nicely updated, especially the kitchen. Could not ask for more.
The photos of the home are not deceptive at all. What you see is what you get.
Our 2 month stay at the Dolphin House was all we could ask for and more! Perfect location right on the water, 2 1/2 miles to downtown venues, restaurants and shopping and 3 miles to Walmart for that type of shopping. The house sits in a very quiet "old Florida" neighborhood, the neighbors were friendly and were often out walking their dogs or just walking themselves. We had 2 small dogs and this house was perfect for them. The yard is completely enclosed and since our dogs are not attracted to water we had no concern letting them be outside.
The house itself has everything anyone would ever need. As one who likes to cook I was concerned with how the kitchen was stocked. I can assure you everything you could need (and then some) is there. There are plenty of linens and towels as well as games and some books. There is a nice Weber grill, but not being a charcoal person I wished there was a gas grill. I did manage though. The house is quite large and the furnishings are very nice, they appear to be fairly new. My only suggestion is the house could use some more furniture pieces to fill the large rooms.
Tom was most gracious in assuring we got settled in and that everything was in order and to our satisfaction. Any requests we made he handled immediately and replied to text messages within the hour. Reporting a slow shower drain to him on Sunday night resulted a person over 1st thing Monday morning to snake it clean.
We have rented other houses in Florida and though nice they did not come close to this property. We would definitely stay here again.
Weather was windy/rainy, but we were there for a family wedding, not beach time. Never saw any dolphins, I'm sure it was the weather. The bay was wild, even splashing water onto the windows each night. Luckily we found window cleaning squeegee in the garage and cleaned up the windows each morning so we could see the great view. Since we cooked in the house, I made a list of things I couldn't find; sharp knife (the knives were all serrated), microwaveable pyrex dish, tongs, rubber spatula, teaspoons, bowls for cereal/ice cream, measuring cups, tea/water glasses, coffee scoop and hot pad (only found one). There were plenty of dishes.
Also there are only 4 outside chairs, a few more folding chairs would be nice for this size house. I only mentioned the above items because you asked, we did manage without them. We all loved the house and will rent again if in the area. Thanks. Tom.
This was our second stay at this fantastic home. The location on the bay, amenities, close to downtown for shops and restaurants, all make it the perfect place to stay. Tom the manager is top notch and makes everything seamless. We will be back.
The property was top notch! Great location (quick ride to downtown St Pete) and and an all around great house, amenities included. Would definitely recommend.
We stayed for 2 weeks in this beautiful home. It is everything the pictures show - the Bay is right in the backyard. We loved watching the Bay change from calm and peaceful to windy and wavy; we saw dolphins, rays, fish, pelicans, even an Osprey camped out on the neighbors tree diving for food. The house is well equipped and comfortable - great towels and sheets, huge fridge, amazing closets, wifi. We drove 20 minutes to St Pete Beach where there is public parking, drove to St Pete for sightseeing, even Uber-ed in the evenings for $6.00. Tom is readily available for questions. It was fun pretending that this was our house in Paradise for a while!
Owner was very attentive, house was clean, views from the backyard were excellent! Dolphin and Manatees were swimming by all week (which the dog loved). The Chattaway just down the street was a great spot for a burger and drink. Neighborhood people were very friendly, definitely had an "old Florida" vibe that you can't get everywhere. Bait and tackle store nearby (Mastry's) had great deals on fresh gulf seafood, and Old Southeast Market had great sandwiches. Everything (including downtown St. Pete) is biking distance. Thanks again!
St Petersburg is an amazing vacation area, where everyone, children and adults, will find its pleasure and satisfaction.
In St Pete, you will like walking on Central avenue or on the Bay front, discover the marina and the numerous restaurants and bars. You will enjoy running into a lot of various small shops along the streets or visit the newly renovated Sundial open mall.
For those who love art, you will visit the Dali museum and its largest US Dali collection. Visit also the Chihuly collection and the museum of art.
Half an hour away from St Petersburg, you will reach Tampa and the Bushgarden theme park as well as its famous Zoo. The whole family will have a blast.
St Petersburg is also well known for its beaches with white sand. Take the morning or the afternoon to go to Fort de Soto or to Pass-a-Grille.
