Great place to stay. Had everything we needed. Spacious and roomy. Will be back next year.
I was a bit disappointed because I assumed that since the house was on the water, we would have access to the lake. However, the house was perched at the top of a steep bluff above the water. The photos posted on the site were taken in the fall, so with the summer foliage, you could barely see the water. Also, that bluff is way steeper than it looks. There was a staircase that looked like it belonged to the neighbors, but it was very very tedious to get down to the bottom. Then you had to walk through trees and brambles. For all intents and purposes, the water is not accessible.
There were two grills. Neither of them worked. One of them looked like one was propane and converted into charcoal. However, it was so rusted out that the charcoal slipped through to the floor. The other one wouldn't start.
The listing advertises that the house sleeps 10; there are three bedrooms with queen beds, but the other 4 people have to sleep on the couch or recliner. The listing mentions this, but be aware that it's not a comfortable situation beyond 6 people.
Despite those hiccups, the house was decent. It was very homey and well stocked. The deck was large and could accommodate a lot of people. The fire pit was nice as well, although there was glass, plastic and cans in it with no wood when we arrived. The neighbors were friendly. There is an addition fridge in the garage which really helped us store all the food for 10 people.
It's not an expensive place, so that helped us deal with the shortfalls. However, next time I want a lake house, I want one that actually has access to the lake. And a grill.
The house was perfect for what we needed there was plenty of space inside plenty of space outside plenty of chairs and places to sleep. It was a great experience and the next time we go to rough we're going to Debbie place.
This was a great little house, fully stocked and a nice deck to relax on. Plenty of room for two families and kids!
Enjoyed our stay very much. Roomy, good location, clean. It was perfect for our family. Great shaded deck for the family to relax and enjoy the views. Fire pit was an added bonus.
