2 Bedroom, 2 Bath With Large Covered Porch

Located in a quiet ghost town 30 minutes north of down town Moab. Very nice, newly remodeled home. Ideal for the outdoor persons who like to bicycle for many miles and leave from the front door, perfect also if you have ATVS. There are hundreds of miles of back country ATV trails that can be accessed from the front door. We are only 3 miles from some of the areas best ancient Indian pictographs and 3 miles north of a cluster of some of the areas best dino tracks

Comfortable Stay and close to Arches and Canyonlands

This is a very comfortable 2/2 in Thompson Springs very close to I-70. The place is very clean and quiet, our family of 2 adults and 2 kids had a wonderful time. The kitchen is good enough to make your own meals and the beds are very comfortable. A very good alternative if you are on a budget but need a clean and quiet place to stay within driveable distance from Arches and Canyonlands. We stayed 3 nights and the property manager Dave was always available via text to address any concerns we had during the stay.

Extremely clean, great location to activities and quiet.

We have been to all 50 states and 32 countries; ranch house number 4 is one of THE most cleanest stays we have rented! Even the door plate hinges are clean :) The unit is well equipped with appliances (no dishwasher if that is important to you) professionally decorated with attention to detail. The large washer/dryer was much appreciated. Loved sitting on the covered outdoor porch swing. Only a 30 to 45 minute drive to Arches or Canyonlands. But you must take advantage of visiting Sego Canyon petroglyphs which is less than 2 miles away. And don't forget to drive Route 128 along the Colorado River, the canyon views are breathtaking. Also check out Mill Canyon dinosaur tracks and bones. These activities are closer than the National Parks and great get-a-ways from those crowds. Management at Ballard RV park is easily available and on site. Wi-fi is available and works okay- a little spotty at times but hey, you're in the desert and ghost town. We would definitely return.

Convenient, Comfortable and Clean

Stayed June 18 - 20th, in the middle of an exceptionally hot (up to 106F) week. Ballard RV park is well maintained and Dave - the manager - was very helpful and friendly. We stayed in mobile home #4 - a comfortable place with a large deck. The AC was excellent, keeping the place comfortable even during the hottest times. The home was also well stocked for our stay, and exceptionally well kept. The nearby gas station had everything we needed for last minute items (Wasatch Evolution IPA, a corkscrew, tea, basic groceries, etc...).

We made the trip to Moab, Arches NP and the 'Island in the Sky' region of Canyonlands NP a number of times, and the drive was no issue. We also drove a few miles up the canyon to see the petroglyphs in the Sego canyon and as an extra bonus, the night sky was exceptional.

We took advantage of the bbq, and the internet connection was fine. All in all, a great base from which to enjoy this amazing location.

Fantstic Value

Our family of four (1 teen, 1 tween) really enjoyed our stay. The rental is a little out of town, but very much worth the drive. We stayed here for the Canyonlands Half Marathon and had no trouble getting to the starting line. It is very clean, spacious and comfortable. We used the well stocked kitchen to prepare breakfasts and dinners. The property owners were friendly and informative about the area. We would love to stay here again if we make it back to Moab. We absolutely enjoyed this vacation ~ Canyonlands and Arches National Parks are a must. Highly recommend!

great place to spend some time near Moab

The cabin was clean and well stocked. The Wifi worked great, tv reception was very good. People were extremely helpful and nice. The only negative was the trains. We spent a month and a half in the cabin and could not get used to the trains going by in the middle of the night. We loved the location, the people and the activities, but if you do not like trains going by only a block away this may not be the place for you.

Great trails, for bicycling and ATVS. And many trails are drivable with a car. We are 10 miles north of some of the best dinosaur tracks as well as only 3 miles south of 4500 year old Indian pictographs.......Located at I 70 exit 187 we are on your way to Moab and just 33 minutes to down town
