Tom Smith purchased this guest house in 2013
Located in a walkable, safe and friendly small town on the Gulf Coast of Florida. Walk to restaurants, in town lake, landscaped river walk, antique shops.
I used unique and interesting materials and techniques to convert a 1949 single wide garage into a modern rustic living space....Think nice motel room....
It is a great design and very artfully done. Great neighborhood and perfect for our two dogs. We made good use of the public library which was only a short walk from the apartment and of the restaurant, only a few steps away. We particularly appreciated Frank, the propery manager. We had 3 requests for his help in the course of our stay, and he was there for us the same day of the requests.
A very nice getaway close to everything. Thumbs up!!
This property is well cared for by its owner, it is a perfect studio for two, eclectic in style, we very much enjoyed the patio and barbecue, loved our walk around the small lake across the street with our dog each day, it is very close to several restaurants downtown as well as on the bayou near by, grocery store also close by, Tom the owner is very quick to reply to any questions and also left a wide array of snacks and drinks for us and our pet's arrival, explored this beautiful area of Florida and very much enjoyed our stay, hope to return soon
Very creative and eclectic little space for the 2 of us and our dog. Easy walk to downtown, Sims Park, and the River Walk. Just a short drive to Tarpon Springs, Dunedin, and beautiful Clearwater beach. Tom is a very thoughtful and considerate host. We will definitely be back.
Loved the little cottage it was perfect for me and my dogs. The courtyard was peaceful and beautiful. Will stay again when I come back to town.
Tom was out of town and his friend Frank welcomed us to the property. We travel with our dog and have stayed in several owner owned properties, we were impressed to be welcomed in person rather than everything handled remotely. It made our stay somehow more comfortable. The "cabin" is exactly as described, it was rustic, clean and eclectic. The garden was a delightful surprise. We stayed 8 days and spent a couple every hours in the garden every morning lingering over breakfast. We hope to have an opportunity for a return stay.
