A converted Granary (parts 900 yrs old) provides space and light in a contemporary & quirky village home close to Stamford. 50 ft reception room, open plan kitchen, and snug with wood stove it is a characterful and rambling property with 7 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms which offers nearly 1700 square feet of space internally. Taken as a whole, it sleeps up to 17, or rent just a wing, (either 2 or 3 bedroomed.)

We chose Aunby because we love Stamford, a beautiful and quintessentially English old stone town with a great arts centre, great schools, fantastic shopping and eating.

What makes this farmhouse unique

We love Aunby because of the space, the fact that the countryside around us is so pretty, we are in the heart of England, steeped in history (part of the house was built using stone from an abandoned monastery that once stood here and is over 900 years old - we had to employ specialist stone masons who had previously been working on Chatsworth estate in Derbyshire when we converted the building) - and yet accessible to London, and the north of the country.

Perfect for a family break

Great space for a family weekend. Lots of rooms to spend time together or equally lots of places to get some R&R and get away from the hustle and bustle. Great layout. And outside was perfect for a large extended family with lots of kids due to the outdoor space and particularly the tennis court which kept the little ones contained. And easy to get to from the North and South so suited our geographically spread family well. A great find!
