Historic 2 Bedroom/2bathroom House That Has Been Completely Renovated

The Denver Court Cottage was built in the 1930's in one of the nicest neighborhoods on Galveston Island. It was completely stripped to the original shiplap and rebuilt with all modern conveniences while retaining its historic nature. It won an award for best renovation in 2013 from the Houston chapter of the AIA (American Institute of Architects).

The cottage has a covered front porch, perfect for enjoying the breezes off the Gulf in the summer. It also has a back deck that is the perfect place to take in the serenity of the palms in the back garden swaying overhead.

The second bedroom is used as a den/TV Room/Office but was designed to be able to be closed off and converted to a second bedroom with en-suite bathroom and closet. The bed is a custom-made fold out sofa from Crate & Barrel that converts to a queen-sized bed.

Great Place to Stay

We recently spent four days here while our home is being remodeled. The house is beautiful and comfortable at the same time.The colors, the furniture, the decor, the landscaping, the skylights, the amazing kitchen, everything was lovely. And the quiet - this home and neighborhood were quiet even on the weekend. The owner, Paul, was easy to commnicate with and helped make our stay as enjoyable as possible. We highly recommend this home to anyone and hope to be able to stay here again some time ourselves.

Beautiful House!

We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed this beautiful house! The house is wonderfully redone and perfect for two couples or a family. Our only complain was the nice deck was unusable because the bugs were so bad in the backyard.

Beautiful property close to beach

This is a beautiful custom home walking or biking distance to the beach and to Broadway street mansions. Cozy lush landscape back yard and front yard as well. Scenic very well maintained street. The home itself is comfortable and very well appointed. Skylights provide enough natural light that we never needed to flick a light switch until it was after 9 pm. Ideal property for an upscale getaway on Galveston Island. Owner was very easy to work with and provided all info needed to access and enjoy the property.

It is a 10 minute drive or 20 minute bicycle ride to the Historic Strand, UTMB, cruise ship terminal, deep sea fishing charter piers, Bolivar ferry, and Garten Verein.
