Come and enjoy all that Lake Ethel has to offer--one of the state's clearest lakes, great fishing, great boating, waterskiing, personal watercraft, kayaking, canoeing, paddleboating, sailboating and much more. Lake Ethel has a public access and a sandy, weed-free bottom only chest deep at the end of the dock. This sturdy cabin is located just feet from the shore of beautiful Lake Ethel. It can sleep 5 comfortably in two bedrooms, and 2 more on a futon. This cabin has a 3/4 bath, kitchen and living room space. Immerse yourself in all of Lake Ethel's beauty by stepping onto a full deck or enjoy it from inside through one of two lakeside glass patio doors.
We have been enjoying Lake Ethel's beauty together since 1980 when Sandy's parents first purchased the property next door. We were fortunate enough to purchase that property from them in 1999 which enabled us to continue enjoying this beautiful lake. We live in the Twin Cities area and are raising six children, all of whom enjoy all Lake Ethel has to offer.
Bruce Jonason purchased this cabin in 2015
We purchased a lake cabin on this lake from Sandy's parents who first purchased the property back in 1980. We have enjoyed spending time at this lake since then. As our six children continue to grow and eventually begin their own families, we anticipate the need for more space at the lake, so when this cabin became available, we purchased it to accommodate our family's future growth. In the meantime, we are able to share these great experiences with others.
This cozy cabin sits just a few feet from the lakeshore, and you cannot help but feel relaxed as you enjoy fishing or boating by day and the cool breezes and loon calls at the campfire by night. This lot offers a shallow, weed-free swimming area, great for the kids! Feel free to bring your own boat or use ours and keep it on our small boat lift. We can provide you multiple ways to enjoy the lake: with a paddleboat, canoe, kayaks, or a sailboat if you would like--just ask us!
Enjoyed our cabin very much. The owner was very helpful and responsive to setting up the visit and responding to any questions. I loved sitting on the deck drinking coffee and looking at the stars at night. There were a number of options for water activities that were convenient and looked fun, but just sitting on the deck relaxing worked for me this weekend. Would stay again.
We rented this awesome Lake Ethel cabin for June 2016. It was everything we needed. All we brought was clothes, food and drink! Fishing off dock every day or relaxing in sun- the lake was perfect. Small fishing boat provided worked great to tool around the small lake. Lake itself wasn't overly busy and neighbors were very friendly. We had access to kayaks and paddle boat as well! Would rent again in a heart beat!
Cabin was clean and well appointed. Grass mowed and dock in great shape. Owner was usually present at his cabin next door and very helpful! Tons of small lake towns nearby with great food and shopping!
Our family of 4 young adults and 2 parents stayed 3 nights at your cabin. We enjoyed relaxing on the beautiful sunny deck, playing bocci ball, water sports and evening fires. I highly recommend this place for a nice family get away.
I recommend bringing bottled water, because the tap water tastes like iron.
The cabin comes with kayaks, which our daughters used everyday, a paddle boat for two, and small fishing boat and motor.
Bruce, the cabin owner, was great to work with.
Really enjoyed our stay. We booked last minute and it was the first rental of the season. Bruce was extremely helpful getting us set up and squared away.
Great place to getaway. Clean lake. Used the kayaks, paddleboat and little motor boat. Caught lots of pan fish. Store is really close by and the lake is very peaceful. Not many people up there.
My husband and I stayed a few nights here, we were looking for a lake cabin with all the amenities included and also being secluded away from others. We got just that. We enjoyed using the kayak, fishing boat, and paddle boat during our stay. Fishing was pretty good--bass and sunfish, the water is also very clear as others have stated. The bed and pillows were comfortable also! My husband and I have talked of returning to this hidden gem.
Enjoy yourself on a very clear 200 acre lake. On a very busy day, you might see 4-5 boats using the lake, but generally, you will have the lake to yourself. When you need something else to do, enjoy one of two 18 hole golf courses, each less than 8 miles away. Just 2 miles away, a horseback riding stable offers more fun!. Glendalough State Park with its abundance of wildlife and antique stores are also nearby.
