Wonderful week of relaxation with family and friends
We came down as a varsity baseball team practicing in Gulf Breeze for spring break. There were only 2 families that stayed in Navarre, the rest were in Pensacola. It was a 40 minute drive for our boys to practice every day but we are so glad we made the decision to stay here!
Our penthouse condo was spectacular in every way, the views amazing, the huge deck so spacious for the kids to play cards, and the lazy days on the beach were truly unforgettable. There were several volleyball courts next to the complex at the pier and the boys spent a lot of time there playing. Bring some poles with good test line and fish the pier for a few bucks. I witnessed several fish being caught and 1day there were over 25 sharks caught. Most 3 ft long or so.
The condo itself was spacious for our 6 adults and 2 teenagers with 2 big bedrooms and a room with bunk beds. I spent most of the condo time cooking or drinking on the balcony. Coffee in the morning and a cold one or 2 in the evenings. Also sitting out there with binoculars looking for dolphins and stingrays which we saw every day. Kitchen has many utensils and cookware but if your cooking for 6-8 ppl you may want to bring a big frying pan. The 2 small ones weren’t very good for big breakfasts.
As mentioned, some of us spent all day on the beach. We brought lounger chairs but you can also rent 2 chairs and an umbrella for around $120 bucks for the week. Well worth it! Brock runs the chair service and he does a wonderful job and works hard. You can rent kayaks and walking boards from him too and surf boards. They actually had big enough waves to surf a couple times. Brock will teach you how.
A few ppl stayed around the pool and you can use any of them. 1 is heated and they are never really busy, most ppl opt for the beach. There’s also 3 hot tubs which I used a couple times at night.
1 thing we were very disappointed in was the Internet didn’t work the last few days. The complex was switching to a new service and we were one of the few units that never got it back on before we left. I went to the desk several times and didn’t get much help or sympathy from anyone. My wife and I are both managers and require WiFi daily to do various things relating to our jobs.
Other than that the week was perfect and we will come back again. A word of advice, don’t waste your time going to Destin for a day of shopping or whatever. It’s a nightmare. You’ll regret it. Also the grill was removed due to fire codes. Darn!
Perfect in every way!
Beautifully decorated penthouse condo, perfect location, nothing but fabulous! My three sisters and I hope to make this trip an annual event. We hope to be able to come back to this location, as it gave us plenty of room. It was truly perfect!
This condo was PERFECT! We loved every second of staying there and didn't want to leave! We could not have asked for a better place to stay!
Like being a guest!
We stayed here over our kids spring break and couldn't have had a better vacation! The condo is absolutely lovely and so many amenities (including kids games, beach toys, books, DVDs...) that we felt truly like guests in someone's home! We LOVED having the rooftop deck and grill AND the designated parking place! With 3 kids in tow, going to the beach was also a dream with the umbrella and chairs already out there waiting for us. We will definately be back! THANK YOU!
