My name is Freddy Lewis and I have been hunting and fishing since the age of 5 throughout Louisiana and Southeast Texas. I was born and raised in New Orleans, and I have been a licensed 100-ton Captain since 1985. I have also worked as a SAG actor in the film industry since 1988. I am married and have two large Labrador Retrievers and one Parson Russell Terrier.
Venice is the only place in the country where you can go offshore in the morning and catch Marlin, Tuna, Wahoo, Dolphin, Amberjack, Snapper, etc., and on the way back stop and catch Red Fish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Drum, Triple Tail, Tarpon and Bass, sometimes all in the same spot, because of the nutrients and bait provided by the great Mississippi River.
One of the most enjoyable evenings of my life was with my wife, brother and sister-in-law, sitting on the back porch in the evening after sunset, and watching a giant full moon rise in front of us, not realizing we were about to witness a full lunar eclipse. AMAZING!!
Immaculate rental and Fred Lewis is the most gracious host imaginable. The entire community at the Venice Marina are wonderful folks. The ladies at the Marina restaurant cook impeccable food. Excellent fishing and hunting. Quiet and relaxing. Everything you could possibly desire - what more can a person ask?

Just returned from 4 night stay. Very clean and in the best location. The owner is first class and has plenty of fishing tips for the area. Definitely need to go to Venice marine and eat the boudin egg rolls. Make sure you get Brittani to wait on you.
