Our cottage has an open floor plan, with one full bath with a tub, which has been newly renovated. We have a new airconditioner/heating unit in the main living area along with ceiling fans throughout all the rooms.
The Kitchen is roomy and NEW with lots of counter space, a unique center island featuring an inlay of our pristine Lake George, a perfect gathering spot with bar stools for a meal
or snack. Our guests have expressed excitement in using it as their perfect board game location!!! And of course we include all the utensils you'll need to make
microwave popcorn or a feast.
The Living/Family Room has all the amenities of home including air-conditioning as well as
heating unit in case the summer nights get chilly in the mountains.
Enjoy the large flat screen TV along with a DVD player for movies.
We have Cable and Wireless High Speed Internet also for your enjoyment.
There are 3 bedrooms, 2 with queen beds in each, dresser, and
closet, 1 bedroom with has 2 twin beds with a dresser and
closet. All the bedrooms are equipped with airconditioning and heating. An Adirondack style futon (full/queen) offers additional sleeping for 2 located in the sunroom, a favorite spot for many!
Enjoy the views of Sandy Bay and Lake George from the sun room while dining, playing cards, or reading.
Windows surround this entire area and you are surrounded by
light. Watching the boats coming in and out of the bay with
the mountains as a backdrop is always enjoyable. There are many spots to sit and relax, or spend the afternoon reading a book or talking to friends.
We have a gas grill for your use along with an outdoor fireplace for evening campfires and roasting marshmallows. Or simply sitting back and star gazing! There are always shooting stars here, in the Adirondacks. If there are fireworks in Bolton Landing, or at the Sagamore, you will be able to see them from the deck or at the lake!
This Cottage is on the east side of Lake George in Sandy Bay. The
summer season generally runs from early June to Mid September. The
area is completely enclosed with a stockade fence and shrubs. Sit outside on the deck in our swing chairs or at the picnic table and enjoy the incredible views of the lake looking across to Dome Island and the Sagamore Hotel.
Our cottage is ideal for families with
children because of the large expanse of lawn which provides plenty
of play area both in and away from the water. You can sit or fish off our dock which
extends into the beautiful Sandy Bay. (That's right It's all Sand,
No mud or weeds) The fact that the crystal clear water has been
rated one of the cleanest lakes in the world enhances the
experience. From the Dock there are steps that lead into a shallow,
sandy area which provides an excellent area for young children to
swim and play. As you walk into the water along the dock the water
is shallow to 4 feet deep, making it a great spot to stand or float all day long!
We offer lounge chairs and a picnic table at the lakefront for guests to enjoy as well. If your not able to bring your own kayak, we do have 2 on the property for use within the bay only.
It's been referred to as 'a little piece of Heaven' by many of our guests! We believe it is.
Let us know if you have any questions, and we will be more than happy to answer them.
We are also flexible with some of the weekend and weekly rental arrangements, and pricing at times depending on a variety of situations. We do not accept pets of any kind due to liabilities, so thank you for understanding. We do charge a room check charge of $50. and can offer a cleaning service if needed. We do have a dock space if needed depending on the size and style of your boat.
We are also on the property so if there's anything you may have forgotten, we may have it!!!
Hope to hear from you soon!!!
The cottage is well maintained, comfortable and has all the necessities for a stay at Lake George with a few friends or family. We were there during Americade, and while it's convenient to LGV, it was also sufficiently distant to avoid the crowds and accompanying noise. The owners were nearby and answered our questions (restaurants, stores, etc).
We were a group of four, and each of us were pleased with the cottage.
My sister's family and I had a wonderful, relaxing vacation with three young children in Nancy's cozy cabin in Cleverdale. The cabin was left spotless with the air conditioner and fans running to ensure a comfortable arrival. Shortly after packing, Nancy came over (she lives next door) to answer any questions (my son had several) and give us some tips on what we can do in the area.
The cabin space suited our taste, as it was large enough to have our own sleeping space, but small enough to enjoy time together. The shelves were well-stocked with board games to help us through the three rainy days there. Also, the T.V. has been upgraded to a larger screen than in the pics. We made lots of use of the kitchen, which provided high-end pots and pans and good, Italian spices. There was plenty of room to eat both indoors and outdoors. The best part of this place is its location right on the bay; we found ourselves walking out there at least twice a day. Although we got some strange looks playing next to the speedboats, it was fun for our small children just to splash around and cool off. Nancy also offered her two-person kayak which was a great experience. Reflecting back, we had an overall great trip. Any pitfalls involved the plumbing situation and the electricity. We aren't used to only flushing when necessary, so it was awkward and there was one plumbing issue. The only time the electricity went out on us was our last day packing. Unbeknownst to us, Nancy later told us that they have a generator in such emergencies. It didn't affect our trip, but we were told that it goes out quite often. Other than those issues, great location and friendly people.
