Anniversary stay at 75 Heron Marsh
What a pleasant visit to this Heron Marsh Villa in Litchfield By The Sea. Some previous comments have me baffled What is not to like about this villa and the owners. On arrival we park underneath the villa out of the elements A few steps up to a nicely furnished and decorated living area. The large dining table has seating for six. The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of dishes, silverware, glasses, coffee mugs, wine glasses, pots and pans, utensils etc. Even coffee filters, some spices, olive oil. platters, cutting boards.
Off the living area the large deck has a beautiful view of the lake and on to the marsh. A table and chairs as well as lounge chairs offer a relaxing place for coffee or wine even in February. Under the deck, in front of the parking area, is a great wood swing plus chairs to overlook the lake in the shade even during the heat of the day or grilling steaks with a cold beverage. Also a storage closet that houses bicycles for touring the resort.
The master bedroom is spacious with a king bed. The master bath has a large walk in shower with a rain shower head.
Although the two of us did not use the upstairs bedroom, it has two queen beds and a full bath.
Having visited Litchfield By The Sea before we knew the location of Heron Marsh villas was perfect. Away from the crowded high rises with the very expensive beachfront views
but yet a quick walk across the beach access point right in front of the villa to the ocean. Just across , a short beautiful walk to the Heron Marsh pool, the resort tennis courts and the Beach Club.
Bill and Margaret, the owners were an absolute pleasure to deal with. Both before and during our stay the communication was great. Bill even came by our first morning to make sure there were no problems and that we had everything we needed.
Without hesitation, we would return to this villa and hope to in the near future. Thanks Bill and Margaret for helping make our 51st wedding anniversary memorable.
How thoughtful of you to leave such a thorough and in my view accurate description of the unit... surely we are both appreciative and indebted to you for going to that much effort and we look forward to your return....Your review excels what we could expect from family or friends!!! but then they never stay because even with a family rate they remain stingy!! again thanks with sincere appreciation
We had a good time at Litchfield Beach for the long weekend.
And we appreciate the five stars and also how clean and neat you left the unit.. We look forward to your return.
202 unit 75
Overall we enjoyed our stay and the lovely surrounding.
Unit had strong smell of either mold or stale cigarette smoke.
There were some loud obnoxious guests in unit 76 next door our first night.
Owner was unfriendly and rude when he arrived before we left and thought there was a fitted sheet missing, which wasnt.
Informational binder for unit was a mess and wi fi information had not been updated, so had to do lots of trouble shooting and figuring out how to connect with right network and password. King bed was not comfortable. Very hard. Unit could use updates and mitigation of mold or cigarette odor.
While we were there, the upstairs tub leaked into the downstairs bedroom. The owner had seen this problem before, and asked us to stop using the upstairs tub. Also asked me to try to find some keys by the water heater to help diagnose the problem. This had happened before. Also, the upstairs bathroom mirror was cracked. The tub issue complicated our stay because my son was ill and needed the shower even though he was staying upstairs.
Just saw your review and hope you are having a delightful holiday. The problem happened once several years ago and it occurs only when the water reaches the overflow. We were out of state when you called and unfortunately what I thought was being thoughtful to resolve the situation for you during a holiday, it was a negative and for that I apologize.Upstairs bath is ripe for a redo but still very functional.
We had a great week at Litchfield by the Sea in Heron Marsh 75. The accommodation was very comfortable, bright and cheery, and it has everything we needed. The location was perfect...beautiful view of the pond out back and short walk to the gorgeous beach. This time in October was perfect for us!
Thank you, Bill and Margaret!
shorten trip and gracious owners.
The owners Mr. and Mrs. Jones were very helpful. The unit was very well kept. The time that we were their was very enjoyable. the beaches were wonderful. Unfortunately The Governor of the state of South Carolina issued an evacuation after only 1 day of our 7 day trip. This act of God could not have been foreseen by the owners, and they said to let them know when and if the insurance that I purchased denies my claim they said to call them once I find out. These are very good people and I highly recommend a stay at their beautiful Condo. As a matter of fact I will be trying to stay there next year myself if they have an opening. John from Tennessee
How very kind of you to go to the effort of leaving a review when your trip was hijacked by the weather!!!!
And we attempt to have it ready for our guests to have an enjoyable time away from home.
Again thank you and we look forward to your return and we remain open to your insurance company following through with its obligation
