This charming single house was at one time a typical New Orleans "shot gun double."

It was converted to a single a few years ago by the previous owner who redid the floor plan and added all the modern conveniences including an awesome kitchen, master bath with shower AND jacuzzi tub, large laundry room with sink and lots of storage, and a wine fridge in the pantry. We are very close to the famous Audubon Zoo and Audubon Park as well as the Mississippi River view at The Fly. Walk to Whole Foods and dine at some of New Orleans' world class neighborhood restaurants.

About Gary

Gary is a Native New Orleanian who has lived in San Francisco and traveled the world, only to return home to NOLA! Having returned to marry the girl next door just a few months before Katrina, he has played his part in rebuilding this wonderful city through various real estate projects and other entrepreneurial ventures.

And now he's never leaving!

Why Gary chose Uptown-Carrollton

This building was falling down after 'The Storm,' as we call it. When the chance came up to buy it from an out of town investor who was unable to recover from storm damages, we jumped at it.

The moment the neighbors saw that we were fixing the place up and getting good people living there, they were really happy to see the neighborhood improving, one property at a time.

We are proud owners and Proud New Orleanians!

What makes this house unique

In addition to some great Nola decor, we decided to make your visit as comfy and soothing with the help of some of our vast collection of Indian and Asian art. Amassed from various world travels, the art is collectively known as meditation art.

perfect location

So happy with choosing this house for Mardi Gras. We had 8 people total and we fit with plenty of room to spare, not crowded at all. Great big kitchen area for chatting and coffee in the morning. The best thing is the location. 2 block walk to the parade route - close enough to go back and forth for bathroom trips and more drinks - made it so comfortable and enjoyable. Plenty of restaurants and shops on magazine. Real local flavor without the insanity of Bourbon street unless you wanna go there. Owner was very flexible about meeting to get in and check out. Already considering booking for next year

Perfect Uptown Location

My husband and I stayed here for a few nights with our son and parents, and couldn't have been more comfortable. Home was even more spacious than it appeared in the pictures, Gary was incredibly responsive and helpful when it came to recommendations. Location could not have been more perfect with easy access to Magazine street and Audubon park. We'll definitely look here first on our next trip to New Orleans!

Beautiful Home, Great Location, 701073

Generally I do not write reviews; however, after staying at this fantastic house, I had to write about our great experience. Even before we arrived, Gary’s response to any questions I had was quick and reassuring. Once in NOLA, Gary met us at his lovely house. The house was meticulously clean, nicely decorated, cozy and comfortable, yet very roomy (more than we needed) for our family of 6 plus a baby. The beds and pillows were comfortable, master suite with king size bed was awesome, eating areas that we could all sit together for a meal are just a few amenities that makes this a 5 star stay and will not disappoint. Gary even brought over a pack n play and high chair for the baby, which was truly a lifesaver.

Attention to details like that as well as having plenty of towels, a kitchen completely stocked with many extras including every small appliance imaginable, and even a hair dryer in the bathroom is more examples of a top notch rental! Hot outside, but always nice and cool in this house. Fantastic location, quiet neighborhood, parking on the street was always available right by the house, sweet porch to sit out and enjoy a quiet morning, a grill and table on the back patio. What more could you want!

Besides this house being so amazing, Gary’s attention to the little details and his commitment to service excellence for his guests was apparent; therefore, I would be comfortable renting any of his other properties in the future. Gary never bothered us, but we knew he was just a text away if we needed him. I’ve been to NOLA many times, but staying together as a family in such a lovely, roomy, and comfortable home was icing on the cake for this visit. We wished we had stayed longer.

Clean, Comfortable, and Charming

Loved staying in this Uptown home! Located in a wonderful neighborhood, convenient to Magazine. A short uber ride to the French Quarter, Marigny, and Bywater areas. House was spacious and accommodating for the size of our group. Beds were comfortable, house was clean, and air conditioning worked great (very useful in June)! Would definitely stay here again!
