**The cabin is located on a steep and unpaved, mountainside road, so although front wheel drive vehicles do manage during the summer season, we strongly recommend AWD/4 x 4**
WINTER GUESTS: We provide snow removal/sanding on our road and driveway for your arrival and departure. AWD or 4x4 required during the snow season, generally a good idea during the winter months in the high country.

The High Country of North Carolina has so much to offer, and every season brings new adventures and new opportunities. We love the area and are certain that you will too, feel free to call me with any questions!
We spent years travelling around North Carolina's High Country as well as Tennessee in search of a mountain town that we could call our 'Escape Home', a place where we could recharge and spend quality time with our kids, as well as a place that fueled our love of nature and all things outdoor. Banner Elk met all of those requirements, and lucky for us we found a little cabin that was exactly what we were looking for. Adding a second Master suite and some other changes has brought our dream to life, one we can't wait to share with our guests.
Proximity to town ammenities while secluded and private. Loads of room to explore on and around property. Lots of entertainment options in the cabin, so rainy days won't ruin your vacation. The firepit, decks, pool table, games, wildlife and natural beauty of the property will recharge anyones batteries :)
My husband and I rented this lovely cabin. It is absolutely gorgeous. We had a wonderful and relaxing time. We have booked it again for a trip later this summer. We are looking forward to our next stay.
What a wonderful place for our family to experience the mountains in North Carolina. The cabin was absolutely gorgeous and the owner Jackie was available for any needs we had and made it such an incredible trip for our family. From the complimentary s'mores and wine upon our arrival to having everything we needed in the cabin was fantastic. Their caretaker Teresa was also amazing. You will definitely love the outdoor fireplace words can't describe how cool it is. Making a fire and enjoying it with our family was truly wonderful. Skiing was right down the road at Sugar Mountain and the staff was amazing. Jackie recommended Grandfather mountain and we were so glad she did. What a treat for our children. It was a trip that we will never forget. Thanks for opening your cabin up to our family.
Thank you, Jackie!
We enjoyed our stay in your beautiful home. It was equipped with all of the short-term essentials. The gazebo down below is amazing. We had a blast exploring the area with hikes, tubing, and water falls. We will definitely be back!
Thanks for everything!

Super clean. Great and responsive host. Absolutely loved our stay.
Me and 5 of my friends just got done spending the weekend at this wonderful cabin and couldn't have asked for a better place. Jackie was extremely accommodating and easy to get in touch with. The cabin was great for us 6 guys and I plan on coming back with my significant other as well. The view was amazing, the house was spacious beautiful and spacious, the fire pit was cozy and it the host was awesome. Can't say enough great things about it.
We so enjoyed our time at the mountain house. Very peaceful! Wonderfully designed & decorated cabin with that "your in the woods but not exactly roughing it" feel. Theresa (P.M.) and Jackie were gracious hosts, both before and during our stay.
