The private, safe, and uncongested neighborhood of log homes has quick and easy access to everything you want, and the peace and seclusion you need.

The cabin is located at 4000 ft. and on two acres of mostly wooded property with views of close and distant ranges. There is plenty of cleared flat land around the cabin, visible from the deck, where your 2 and 4 legged kids can safely play. Located just 5 minutes from Wildcat Lake, 8 minutes from Banner Elk, about 12-15 minutes from both Sugar Mountain and Beech ski resorts, 20 minutes to Grandfather and Hawksnest, 30 minutes to Boone and 40 minutes to Blowing Rock. Miles of trails are everywhere up here!

Cabin Amenities include:

• Two Spacious Master Suites featuring super comfortable Queen Beds with luxurious linens and Full En-suite Bathrooms; main floor Master bath features a Jacuzzi tub and separate shower.

• Granite & Stainless, fully equipped Kitchen with Gas Range and Counter Seating

• Solid Hickory Pool Table for the grown-ups, plus a board game cabinet and toy corner for the kids with play mat, puzzles, crayons, paper and books.

• Wireless Internet; Smart Televisions accommodate Netflix and Vudu; and a Sonos sound system

• Coffee, Tea, Sugar, and Creamer as well as numerous spices, are complimentary

• Local Property Manager available to handle any issues**

**The cabin is located on a steep and unpaved, mountainside road, so although front wheel drive vehicles do manage during the summer season, we strongly recommend AWD/4 x 4**

WINTER GUESTS: We provide snow removal/sanding on our road and driveway for your arrival and departure. AWD or 4x4 required during the snow season, generally a good idea during the winter months in the high country.

Why Jackie Hudson chose Banner Elk

We spent years travelling around North Carolina's High Country as well as Tennessee in search of a mountain town that we could call our 'Escape Home', a place where we could recharge and spend quality time with our kids, as well as a place that fueled our love of nature and all things outdoor. Banner Elk met all of those requirements, and lucky for us we found a little cabin that was exactly what we were looking for. Adding a second Master suite and some other changes has brought our dream to life, one we can't wait to share with our guests.

What makes this cabin unique

Proximity to town ammenities while secluded and private. Loads of room to explore on and around property. Lots of entertainment options in the cabin, so rainy days won't ruin your vacation. The firepit, decks, pool table, games, wildlife and natural beauty of the property will recharge anyones batteries :)

We were there during Irma.

  • 5 of 5

As soon as we walked in, we were totally amazed. The decor was amazing. I had two boxes of things that we would need. What a waste; the cabin was totally stocked.

We were there during Irma. Totally enjoyed watching the storm from the bed through the sliding glass door. Trees were blowing, but at no time were we scared. You could tell the cabin was well built.

We were worried about Irma coming to NC. Even though Jackie was in FL getting totally hit, she was at our disposal.

Thank you for a memorable experience. We want to come back.

Thanks, Mindy

Cozy Cabin perfect for a little get-a-way

  • 5 of 5

We recently just got back from our trip to "Another Super Day". Overall our trip was amazing! The cabin itself was beautiful inside & out. We came during heavy snow which added to the overall beauty. Our only complaint was how steep the driveway was. We knew we needed our 4wd truck but we had no idea what we were getting in to. Jackie was truly wonderful through our whole stay though. When we needed the drive to be plowed to get in originally and when we needed it again she didn't hesitate to help us out. She was able to answer any question and was even excited for us to stay in her cabin (which really stood out to us). There were 4 of us who went up to Banner Elk for a snowboard trip and to celebrate a friends 30th birthday. The cabin was ideal for two couples and a dog to stay in. All appliances and necessities were at our disposal upon our arrival. The cabin is only 5 miles or so to Sugar mountain and 15mi or so to Beech. If you are planning on renting this cabin, we all highly recommend it. If you are planning on renting in the snow months, make sure you have a highly capable 4wd vehicle (off road tires encouraged) and you'll be good to go!

Wonderful Family Christmas

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I wanted to do something special for Christmas this year because both of our boys are in the Navy and we never know when or if they are going to be able to come home and this year both were able to come home for Christmas. The owners of this cabin responded almost immediately to my request and were super easy to work with. The owner is a real sweetheart and very kind hearted. Once we arrived at the cabin the caretaker was there waiting for us and already had the fireplace outside going and a bottle of wine waiting for us.

The cabin looks great in the pictures but once you are there everything far exceeds what the pictures show...it is absolutely beautiful! I can't begin to recommend this cabin, owner, and caretaker highly enough. Anyone looking for a mountain getaway and wants a beautiful cabin that is well taken care of and centered perfectly between high attraction areas...THIS IS IT!!

Oh, just to give an example of the service they provide, once the owner found out that we were renting the cabin to have a family Christmas in the mountains she arranged for the caretaker to get us a Christmas tree before the lots ran out and the caretaker even set it up and kept it watered for us until we got there...just amazing!
